  1. I find my varex is too loud for me at times as well even with an xforce resonator so im looking at switching to a HKS silent hi power muffler to try and get the system quieter. It will eliminate the lower pressure in cabin sounds. I also find that the exhaust can have different db notes from bearable to unbearable at times.
  2. Still have nismos in sold the rsr's to someone who was desperate for a set of springs. Will be buying a set of blue serirs mca full coilovers shortly. Im hearing ya about being over it. Turbos on its last legs, got another ready to go in once the compressor gives way. Then time for a turbo rebuild a

  11. Ok. Replaced with scottys afm but now car has a hesitation issue. Every now and then revs will drop to 500 and runs rough as if I have unplugged the afm. Under throttle engine is splattering then come good. It does it on idle and through driving. Any idea's. I run standard ecu no updgrade currently. Afm replacement shouldnt have this issue. I dont see it as plugs at all as they have just been replaced not too long ago. This issue is associated with dead afm from last week.
  12. Replaced AFM and reset ECU. Fixed issue
  13. Replaced m35 front OEM speakers with 6 inch Kicker KS60's using OEM housings.
  14. I have decided to upgrade the front speakers to Kicker KS60 (6 Inch) 3 way speakers. I have done a write up for people who are thinking of doing this into the future. I used the OEM speaker holders with OEM wiring plug and this is how I did it 1. Remove the inner door covers and remove the speakers from the door (3 bolts - 10mm socket or star screw driver) 2. Take a Stanley knife to the top of the OEM speaker and fold back the cone until you can see the supports holding the speaker in place. 3. Use a bevel cutting tool to cut the 6 supports including the speaker wires. You can then remove the OEM speaker cone. 4. Use the cutting attachment to remove the 2 lips on top of the speaker unit so that the top of the unit is flat. 5. Use a grinding/sanding attachment to smooth out the top of the unit and where you cut away the OEM speaker supports. 6. Bend the speaker negative/positive terminals so they are at a 90 degree angle. 7. Solder on the new internal speaker wire making sure you check which side is the negative (Black/white) and which wire is positive. 8. Use a grinding attachment to make a slot in the plug support wall so that you can slip the new wires in behind to run them along the Inner wall. 9. Now fit the 6inch speaker. A 6 inch speaker should sit flush with the outside of the speaker unit. Screw into the speaker unit and secure new speaker. 10. Turn speaker over and solder the other end of the new wires to the new speaker terminals. 11. After making sure the speaker and speaker wires are secure return unit to the car and install back onto the door. Time to test new speaker. Once you are satisfied replace inner door cover and repeat process for the other 3 door (front and rear speakers are all 6 inch) I hope this helps your install your new speakers using the OEM holders. Very happy with my results.
  15. I have fault codes 0100 (afm malfunction) & 0110 (intake temp sensor issue) will changing the afm fix these issues
  16. Today stagea had been running rough, spitting and splattering on idle. I have checked fault codes and displayed P0100 (afm malfunction) & P0110 (air temp sensor issue). I have a scotty spare afm. Will this fix this issue if I change them. How dod I reset the ecu so it reconises the afm change as ive changed it previously with it splattering at full throttle. cheers all
  17. Take of your undertray and check your bottom intercooler piping.
  18. Intercooler piping may have popped off. Turbo may have blown. Your AFM may have died. Id say it is not a gearbox issue.
  19. Fixed oil leak in both cam covers. Drilled out 2 broken bolts and re threaded. Now to burn off excess degreaser and back to normal. Reinstalled dales front underbody brace from underneath supports to above. Fits in there nicely. No occasional underbody bumps now. Flush!!
  20. How do you find the throttle cable. Have you had any ecu issues following this mod. This is one mod I would like to achieve next
  21. It is still the rocker cover seal. Slipped out when reinstalling. Very common due to the hose at the rear of engine. With the other problem check your afm connection plug that it is fully attached.
  22. Ebay - search VQ25DET
  23. I will try that. Thanks Scott. Dö you have a picture of catch can lines for reference.
