  1. PM me, i can get some z tune style bonnets but you'd have to wait a little for it to arrive
  2. Holy shit, i didn't even see that post!
  3. What are training wheels? Never heard. OP if your serious, VTEC is a overrated Honda thing. Don't think anyone else has heard of VTEC here on SAU.
  4. Yeah some of those stands I've used and seen have started to give way. Especially the stands that are aged and have rust on the welded joints, BIG saftey risk there. I would prefer to use triangular stands as the pressure is evenly distributed across a wider base.
  5. Actually sun roof is actually very rare. More common in series 2 but have seen them on series 1. Also the aero kit is very rare to be on sale and when it does come up, it's gone before you say sold.
  6. Not sure if serious..
  7. I recently wrote off this car and sort of stripped everything apart. It's actually not too hard and I could DIY it.
  8. Standard R34 Series 1: Looks more of a mass market car. R34 Series 1 Factory aero body kit (A.K.A Nismo body kit, altia body kit). This one is actually my car (before it got written off : Looks more like what every R34 should look like. My one there is just the aero body kit as in Front bar, side skirts and rear bar. Then there are the full aero body kit with the hideous "trolley" spoiler. DO NOT ever get this, it just looks hideous. But if you DO and decide to take it off, it's a 3 piece wing and the two vertical end pieces are bolted onto the rear quarter panel. If you take them off, it will have holes and you would need to get it welded and sprayed: R34 Series 2 stock kit: Looks like a Camry :\
  9. I don't really think with R34 GTT that series 2 would justify the extra 2-3Ks. It all comes down to personal preference and finding the right person to pay the price. In all honesty, I personally think that R34 GT/T are worth no more than $13K if by private sale. any more than that they would be dreaming. But the average value of a R34 is between 13-17k since the importers slap a few grands on top and people selling them want to price it at that price so they lose less (if they buy from dealer) or they want to ride with the market value from the dealers. I picked up my first one for 11.5k, was a fair price where many would say it is cheap. I personally don't really like the series 2 since I think they are kinda gay. Not much difference in performance, a change of interior aesthetics but the body is still the same, but with the more "everyday car" looking body kit. I don't like the 2 tone interior so I always tend to look at S1. Doesn't really matter until you go for a GTR I dont think.
  10. Why would you need to lower your car just for a body kit?
  11. I've only done it once in the past 6 months. It hasn't wanted to melt of yet after sitting in the sun for a bit. Feels like new, even if I try to scratch it off, its not as easy as it would if it was melting off.
  12. I personally like the stock look of the paint. It does melt off and become sticky in the sun over time if left out for extensive periods, but my way of fixing it is just put all the parts, put it in a freezer and freeze it for a good 30 minutes, take it out and let it sit to room temp and voila! Good as new.
  13. sorry mate, rear bar definately not for sale and only got stock exhaust.
  14. I would see how a cruise under a organization such as SAU would have to be regulated, but I don't see how unofficial cruises would lay all the liabilities on the person who organized a cruise? I mean its just like driving regularly on the road with other cars. Just that these cars happen to be in the same series as your own and heading to the same destination? If I organized a cruise, one of the idiots behind me decides to be a hero and speeds up and rear end some other car, I don't see how in any way I would remotely be responsible. Unless the cruise involves me directing them to anal some traffic or driving through the water to TAS, then thats a different story, but even with official cruises. A car is a car, it should be registered and have CTP and at least 3rd party insurance anyway. It is up the driver of the vehicle or the other vehicle to be liable for any damages caused and IF somehow a car swerved onto the side walk and injured someone, CTP covers it does it not?
  15. LOL. The last few seconds made me cringe.
  16. Hold up guys, I cleared things up with RMS and I should be able to repair it and get it back on the road again. Some certain parts I have extra as spare so feel free to still ask. Supanoodle, I'll let you know mid next week alright? I got a smash repairer coming to my place on monday to give me a quote. I'll balance it out to see if its worth doing or not. If not then the bottle is yours. what else were you after?
  17. Anyone want Assassins Creed 3 Poster? I have 2 of them that I picked up from EB Games Expo. If anyone wants them PM me or they will be used as overspray paper! Pick up from Fairfield West 2165.
  18. It's not really "close" to the city. I drive past there everyday to go to work in the CBD. If your not familiar with the area, not a easy place to get around. Peak hour and even normal day traffic is bitch to get around the area even in public transport. Ask him to meet you at Strathfield or a place that has a train station.
  19. Those lights are boss.
  20. I'm not sure if you could use larger coporate companies such as Toll Ipec or TNT as a once off shipment, but best way to go about it is use a pallet. Would have to be fork lifted from A-B.
  21. Due to the cost of raw carbon fibre, that's why many places don't do it. Dry carbon bonnets, boot lids etc would be through the roof in terms of production costs not to mention a few hundred thats slapped on for profit margin. If I'm not wrong, all carbon fibre will have a glossy coat on top from the resin. Just that dry carbon is prepreg and that the resin is litterally frozen into the carbon cloth and laid up on a mould where it gets vacuumed and heats up to melt the resin and in the end, leaving a shiny coat. Also because the structure of bonnets, doors, boot lids etc have a "skeletal" support frame and not just a flat moulded piece, I'd say each of the rails and whatever structure a part has, would have to be moulded and produced individually, then pieced together with the top layer. I'd say production for these would be once off (in Australia anyways) for those who are building cars for events such as WTAC. Plus they are illegal for street use anyway so theres no real market for them if theres no demand. The only thing I could get from your list is high wing stands in dry carbon. If your willing to fork out a few grand, I could probably make some arrangements to have your bits made up in dry carbon.
  22. what car are you looking at?
  23. If you got snapped, you got snapped. I don't know if they can detect unregoed cars but even if they don't, they snap a unregistered car with plates, they look up database to find out who owns the car to send the fine and they will find out either way. Perhaps if its not your car or your car but ran out of rego, I'd assume the fine would be sent to the last registered owner for the plates.
