  1. This at night?
  2. That's the term I was looking for. Couldn't put my finger on it so it came out in 100+ words.
  3. I'm planning on getting a carbon fibre GTR wing. Just want to confirm that R34 GTR's have the same mounting holes on the boot lid as the GTT?
  4. I don't think anyone mentioned that Fibre Glass will crack. I'd go a little extra and get genuine or non-fibreglass parts cause if you scrape or hit something like the gutter, it'l crack and more money gone. That's the only downside.
  5. I'm no mech but I'd get it replaced. From what I can see, there seems to be a hairline crack from somewhat in the middle of the crack where the chip is, leading towards the right side. As you drive, the roads, speed bumps, holes etc. anything that will cause vibration will cause the crack to grow and eventually break off. Given that it pulls the belts, you can imagine what would happen if something hit it and bent it out of line. Could shave off your belts or worse case scenario, the piece breaks off completely, gets flicked up into the belts, causing more damage to other parts. This is from my point of view, a crack like that, I'd get it replaced when I can. Fork out some money to replace this than forking out 4 times more replacing other bits that this has caused. Just my 2c. I may be completely wrong though.
  6. Where abouts are you mate?
  7. Great work! Autobarn is off my list to get paint.
  8. This guy knows how I feel. Pros who know what they are doing may put it in, but the quality of work may not be up to what I wanted. I haven't checked under my dashes yet to see the wiring and stuff, but I'm already not too happy about some bits since I'm a perfectionist anal f@ck. They didn't put my bonnet latch bolt in properly, left a screw out from the steering wheel trims, placed the alarm in a place where it required drilling (from the skylines I've seen, they all have been on the driver side with a bracket holding it). Once pros do this for a living, it's just doing another car to them whereas I would take a couple of hours getting my cables right and tidy. That's how a proper job is done. Other than that, props to my mates shop for installing it.
  9. Hey guys, About 2 months ago I got myself some new halogen bulbs. They are Genuine Philips H1 5000K Diamond Vision 12V 55W. Picked em up for $145 at Autobarn. I just picked up a HID kit and installed it and have stopped using the Philips as of today. Owned since 18/06/12. Still have receipt for warranty purposes. I'm asking for $100 (postage $5 aus wide). Reasonable offers accepted. Located in Fairfield West, NSW 2165. Pick ups OK. Postage on top.
  10. I'm not even in the car when theres condensation! By the way guys this is the outside. I think many of you guys are thinking it's fogging up on the inside. Condensation is different from fog. For the inside, there's Rain X Anti-Fog
  11. I've been looking for some RS but I've been quoted $3400 delivered.
  12. Create Barbie skylines. Sell in toys r us. Profit. Use profit to buy new rims. Win. It'll be a while before I can afford then man, apprentice wages leaves me eating Mi Goreng. And also I wouldn't wanna buy them now, still haven't learnt to appreciate mine. Just as I thought I was good enough not to gutter rash, I rashed it today...
  13. Looking for a 2 Door R34 fuel flap/door in QM1 polar white. Sydney metro area preferable. Will pay for postage from interstate.
  14. Nice. I was expecting something like gay fluro barbie pink but thats very nice!
  15. Just had my sec system installed today by pros. Good thing I didn't go DIY.
  16. Do that, but remember when your motor runs dry, I think you'll need more than 5L. If you Run 5L, good chance the fuel lines leading from your fuel tank to your motor is all air and would suck up quite a bit to fill the pipes and motor. 2.5L engine, leaves 2.5L in the tank, not to mention the fuel lines. You'd most likely still be sucking up air with 5L. I took this into consideration when I got my Jerry can and I'd say 10L would be best bet on the safe side to get you to a servo. Run the car dry on non-busy roads or on weekends so you don't stop in the middle of heavy traffic.
  17. Interesting, elaborate please!
  18. Honestly, I wouldn't know whats fact here but in my opinion, I think that would be a normal thing when your running on fumes. When you rev, you're putting more fuel into the motor to get the RPMs up, hence if your car is running on fumes then its not getting enough petrol run at the RPM you are after, hence choke. How empty are we talking here? Like right when the fuel light comes on or quite sometime after? I get about 420KM before the fuel indicator comes on. I've managed to squeeze about 455KM before I pussied out and filled up. But I've never experience choking or stalling. If I'm wrong, correct me, no harm done. This is how, to my non-mechanical knowledge, it would work. I suggest do what I've been doing for the past few fills. Get yourself a $20 Jerry can from SuperCheap. 10Ls would be sufficient. When you run low, have the jerry can in your boot and drive till it runs dry to see how many K's you can squeeze at max and find your safe spot to fill up. Said above, 455KM on a full tank of Premium 95, no choke or stalls. Filled 10L from the jerry can cause I didn't want to die off on Parramatta Road or M4.
  19. Bit of a JDM spotting today. White 34 GTR on Railway Rd, Yennora section, driving whilst on the phone gave a wave out my window Dark blue 34 on Lvl 2 Citigate Central Hotel parking with plates X88X Dark blue 34 4 door no spoiler on Hamilton Road with his misses at 10pm. you glanced at me and I flicked my lights at ya before turning off into 7-11 direction.
  20. Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced locksmith? I'm sorta in the same boat, boot changed, current keys don't work, but my leaver still works
  21. Silver 34 GTR on Parramatta Road about 7PM. Asian driver with his misses, rolling next to me for a sec, waved and the GTR glanced back before I turned off to Five Dock maccas to take a leak
  22. This. Terry, organise a skyline paint BBQ. Use the left over paint for a paintball day then we can all go home happy looking like our cars
  23. Autobarn has 2 different QM1. One being more darker and one being more, well, whiter. I've got both of them and haven't had any luck in having perfect match. Autobarn's database has QM1 Polar white and QM1 P(some long name no one knows how to say in english). My QM1 compared to Terry's N1 which is also QM1, seems to differ as well. His one being bit more creamy and my one being bit more pure white. I believe there is something more to it than just "QM1". Also a member on here apparently bought the wrong touch up "QT1", but his feedback was a perfect match. I'd say do a full respray on your bar and keep the mixture for future reference. I'm in the same boat as you, trying to touch up my front and rear bar, but looks like a full respray of the bar will be best way to go about it. Oh and of course try to match it with your car as close as you can.
  24. Didn't know she could read jap?
  25. Yeah picking up a reputable one, model as PM'ed.
