  1. Yes im aware of matts 34 - we have had dealings with him. its a nice 34 his vcam is very different to mine ;-)
  2. hi yes the build cost is throu the roof, however what you have is one of the (IMO) best GT-Rs ever created Things like the bonnet is £4,000 GBP, the v cam system is a limited run (That only the tuners have) not the mass market v cam, your price above would just about cover the engine build and the aero i would think my friend was very good to sell it to me, his owned the car for many years in various states of tune thro top secret (i think his nuts too but hey ho lol)
  3. Thought id share my experience with the cars ive owned ….. Of course all JDM ;-) Started off driving in a Corolla AE92 GT-I but hey lets not count that … So second car that I always wanted was an RNN14 (GTI-R) Had that for 3 years and was a really good car (bar the clutch) I took her to a lot of GTI-R meetings in the UK Having had the GTI-R, I got the 32 GT-R bug, and sorted myself out with one of those, sadly the GTI-R had togo to fund this purchase. After 2 years with the GTR, (having been using it for an everyday car), I borrowed a recently imported & unregistered EVO 6TME as a courtesy car, whilst some work was done on my GTR. I thought it was really nice to drive and a better "all rounder" esp on british roads than the 32. So ended up buying it a week later (The Evo was tuned by Signal Auto, hence why the muffler is on the other side) The Evo was cool, and I kept that for 18months, but exported the 32 to Sweden… Always wanted an R34 GT-R and the evo never felt like a GT-R / RB …so had to go back to GT-R ownership Next came my 1 owner from new (2000), Nismo Omori owned 34 About to be loaded on to the boat in 2007 Changed a few things on her Alas that is now sold and I move on to the TS 34
  4. hi, yeah Russ, his cool the AE86 is miguels (the GTR i posted is mine) Russ is a good guy, he came to the auto salon with us last year
  5. yep as above if you have a look at my TAS pictures from this year in your japanese diary pages, it shows the wald kit
  6. extremely responsive, check the dyno. Its a HKS Step 3, 2.8. The v cam helps the response as well this is one of Nagatas favourite R34s. Its been re built twice by them, the final incarnation is what you see above. All genuine parts have been used, such as the Nismo full body kit, etc There is alot of work which the photos do not display, attention to detail, such as the Robson leather interior or all the suspension work underneath including the seam welding
  7. Not sure if youve ever been to Fuji district its about as clean as it gets lol Pics above are from about 2007, the car is fine, and has been on several AE days...& track days at Fuji SW, and GTR driving days up in the mountains. The engine is fine, but as we are perfectionists its back at TPS for a few tweaks
  8. When I visited the Omori factory (back in 2006) with a few GTR friends, I was really excited about seeing “where all the magic happens”. As one of those friends is a very well respected photo journalist, Nismo agreed, to bring down their very own Z tune for us to have a look up close up (remember this is 2006, when it had just been created) Pics are from that day (all GT-Rs shown, excluding the z tune are not owned by Nismo) The 2 big power ones were fully built by Top Secret, the other 33 is a rare Le Mans car, that now belongs to a friend in the UK.
  9. If any of you guys want to meet up, we can do? depends on what day your all going
  10. Thanks i may do that, but tbh the car (again isnt black lol) but its one of the most complete GTRs built. There isnt anything else that needs doing to it (or avaliable), you name it, its prob got it lol ive put a few pics of japanese GT-R meets here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ja...iaries-f64.html see its not black (pics from DPA gtr meet)
  11. its currently back at TPS, for a better rebuild ;-)
  12. Thanks guys the car isnt black tho ive put some other pics here for you: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ja...iaries-f64.html
  13. hi no you wouldnt of done, its a total one off by Top Secret (the whole car is) limited edition v cam etc see my post in skyline chat i think i put it in, pics and spec
  14. Hi I can't I'm afraid I've put some pics of Gtr meets in japan & auto salon in the Japanese photo section
  15. really depends on what you want out of a car the 34 is heavy, and in stock trim (even up to 1bar boost) isnt that quick, evo - great for around town , nippy driving, If the cars cost the same in Oz, id go for the 34. However they both have their + and - depending on what you want out of it. Evo is much cheaper to run, GT-R more tuning available ... brakes on the evo are much much better than the stock bembos on a 34
  16. Thanks, cant wait to see it again in real life...long way by sea this was my old 34 Imported it like this: changed to this
  17. heres mine goes out next week...yay! @ at recent GTR meet at DPA
  18. This is what we use on street (Tokyo & Skyline pass) & on track in JP.... Here's some recently taken pics. We resprayed it, to perfect the bodywork and I spent last weekend painstakingly putting it back together with all new trim parts, etc. Whatever could be replaced as part of re-assembling, was. I figure these parts won't be around much longer, so it was wise to replace them whilst I could. Even the rubber seals for the window / trim on the interior were changed. Note also the carbon wind deflectors and carbon panel below the windscreen. New items recently released here. I've also recently fitted a few new parts in the engine bay... The PAS bottle, combined oil catch tank / expansion tank replaced the old ones - I hated that plastic reservoir tank. Also fitted a new screen washer bottle as the old one had turned yellow over 22 years or so, KMS Manifold (Fitted last year, but I have't posted a pic of it fitted till now - it's holding up very well - not cracked or given any problems but noticably improved top end power). All suspension is pillow ball now, too with Greddy's new mini 6 pot kit at the front. I've got a set of new TRD Anti roll bars to fit next weekend, as I've been running a Cusco rear with standard front till now. Might also fit a brake bias valve sometime, but it doesn't need one - might only improve brake performance a little, I guess.. I can't think of anything else I want to do to it now, except drive! So it's pretty much finished...Sure there will be small improvements to be made as I find the need for them, but I'm pleased with the results after 3 years of work during spare time on some weekends & evenings. It's proving to be totally reliable, and despite the work that's gone into it, I'll still use it hard on the track, and have fun with it on Japan's mountain roads toying with much more powerful, but heavier cars.. I've only had to do regular maintenance on it. All the parts chosen seem to be lasting well with no quality issues and notably it's not needed any re-mapping at all. Engine still runs sweet as a nut. Aside from regular oil changes and occasionally squirting the ITB inlets with carb cleaner to remove carbon deposits and restore correct idle - I've only had to balance the throttles once, when they went slightly off tune. Thought about cutting out the arches and making it wider, but in the end I couldn't bring myself to butcher a completely rust free body. It's huge fun to drive. Can't get enough of it Cheers for looking!
  19. few more alloy jigs used to template all parts
  20. we know the guys at TOMEI at very well, with them being personal friends for many years. so they invited us last jan to take a look around, to see their preparations for the TAS the following week. New Oil Pan for GT-R in development Engine / Parts dyno room sound proof in there too! its where all TOMEI parts are tested. Motec ECU was wired into this engine RB26 - in temperature controlled room 20 degrees, all parts lazer tested for temperature. only until everything is at 20 degree will they be put back together. special TOMEI engine (GTR) Notice the attention to detail ive also put myself down for one ;-) and the part of the store room i think i need some parts R34 bits Turbos getting ready for the TOMEI TAS Stand where all TOMEI cams are made by one of the brothers of the founder of TOMEI its an old TOYODA machine
