  1. CLAS8 is Premium Version. pm sent
  2. Unfortunately Knox don't do a shift kit for the S2/R34 'B' transmission, only MV.
  3. Im onto it.
  4. OK, mine also says 06/00, when in fact mine is 08/00, compliance shop must just estimate the month. Go with the FAST record, but make sure you let Nissan tell you the part # so you are covered if by some strange, unlikely reason it is wrong. PS 2498 is the cc's
  5. here's the confirmation Ps Your only factory option is 'Twin sunroof', in case you hadn't noticed.
  6. 22620 AA509 for after 08/98. 22620-17U10 before. send me your VIN if want to be sure.
  7. +1 for earthing problem, I recently removed my earth lead, and sanded the engine and body contacts. If you have access to something that will read your coolant sensor (not temp sensor), eg ECUTALK, or PFC i guess. you can monitor the temp and compare it to what your gauge is showing, as they are separate sensors. Talking about temp gauge, I just bought a 2nd hand instrument cluster from japan, $25, as Nissan no longer list the temp gauge, as i discovered with much testing on and off the car, and replacing of sensors, that my temp gauge would sit in the same position (about 1/2 way) from 70 to 120 degrees, then resume. Not real handy. Guess it must have either broken some windings inside or worn a rut in the windings ?? Anyway, hope the new gauge doesnt have this issue.
  8. Some mud maps for the cruise. I guess the time will depend on when Micah and Gold Coasters are planning to leave. TBA. No plan for return trip, either back using similar route or a more relaxing drive to the Bruce Hwy via Kilcoy. If we end up parking in the undercover carpark at the rear of Ronnie's in Milton, might be a good idea to at least buy a 40c cone, thus avoiding any loitering issues which may arise.
  9. probably no complete diagram out there, what part of car are you looking at ?
  10. Autech 260, sms sent
  11. Tentative plan at the moment is too meet up at the BP/McDonalds at Milton Rd, Milton, parking at back of maccas or in streets behind. Head out on Waterworks Rd/Mt Nebo Rd/Mt Glorious Rd. 1 stop @ 27km @ Jollys lookout carpark. Then a 63km run to Somerset Dam picnic area, probably a 2nd stop to be decided. maps to follow soon.
  12. you will get some leakage, just have the hoses ready to put on before you unhook the old ones, might lose a litre or 2 depending on how long you take, easy to top up with fresh fluid, not under any pressure. I recommend you go with the largest one you can fit.
  13. Should be one of the first upgrades for the Stagea. Nissan realised this with the S2, although even this is not big enough for some Australian conditions, eg, towing in brisbane as I do. I run 2 coolers, plumbed parallel, not in series, with the cooler in the washer bottle space running its own motorcycle size thermofan, triggered by a thermo switch in the transmission pan. You should find plenty of info in old threads about trans coolers.
  14. agreed, what MV will do is alter the hydraulics of the Valve Body, ECU changes won't change the slushiness.
  15. both Z33 and M35 use RE5R05A.
  16. measure your towball weight with a set of bathroom scales, if you have a set that goes that high, use a piece of wood to protect the scales, and place the scales on some blocks so the height is same as your ball.
  17. Looks like your main problem is your towball weight, not suspension, check that it doesnt exceed the towbars ball weight specs, i think mine is around 150kg. Looking at yours id guess it would well over that. Ive loaded the boot with 200kg of cement and it never looked that bad. I tow my boat with a TBW of around 50kg, but to achieve this i had to reposition the trailers axles forward, unfortunately not an option for you. Are you able to face the EVO backwards, would this get more weight to the back of the trailer ? and that spare tyre on the hitch doesnt help, can it be repositioned under the back of the trailer? Changing your suspension would be fine if you towed this 100% of the time, you are better off addressing the cause.
  18. ive posted the factory specs a couple of times before, scanned from Jap workshop manual, they are very broad settings, nothing really useful to go off, a good wheel aligner wouldn't even bother looking at them.
  19. fitting a Stage 1 'MV Automatics' valve body at the moment, Mike's notes says to block off and remove springs for the middle 2 acumulators with welsh plugs, done. But i seem to remember on a previous install that only 1 of the end springs goes back in, but in his notes it implies that both end springs are retained. Anyone done an install in an R34 'b' box lately and can shed some light ? thanks
