  2. I can do anything up to May '08.
  3. yep, but wire connection is adjacent to the aerial plug behind head unit.
  4. make sure your aerial amplifier has power.
  5. May I suggest Somerset dam, good place for a swim and bbq, (same spot as the Skyline cruise a few years back). Although might be a long day for Gold Coasters.
  6. have a play with the base idle screw.
  7. Nissan.., let me know if you want the part numbers. Also rear stickers are slightly different depending on the colour of your car.
  8. WTB Stagea Automatic transmission pan / sump, must be in excellent condition with no dings etc. Will pay $40 + delivery, thanks, Simon
  9. Got my hands on some more tuners, same model, $310 posted, so any newbies with Xanavi screens or M35's looking for digital TV, send me a PM.
  10. (if you are talking about the diff output shafts) I am pretty sure they are not, different splines, and even within same model there are different splines, depending on auto or manual etc
  11. It's an option from the factory.
  12. It may be fine for Nissan mechanics with specialized timing lights, but for us with 'backyard' timing lights take care. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=2417388
  13. from my experience and talking to a few mechanics, the rear wire method is not as accurate as: pulling off no.1 coil, putting an old fashioned spark plug lead from the coil to the spark plug and placing the timing light pick-up on the lead. A lot more time consuming though.
  14. FM expanders are just a temporary fix, you will never get the best reception out of these.
  15. Check your FONT, try a different one, and make sure CD 1,2... locations are correct (A1, B2 etc)
  16. R34 gtt is also a direct fit
  17. My Transmission is on the way out, so im swapping in a lower km tranny (60k). Apart from the 'shift kit' upgrade im doing, is there anything I should consider replacing/adjusting inside the tranny before i install it ? I dont want to spend money on a full rebuild, but if there is anything that people consider a 'must do', please let me know. cheers, Simon
  18. Im also looking into transmission workshops at the moment, although I havnt had any dealings with them, will either go with: http://www.aspleyautos.com.au/autoframe.htm http://www.wsautomatics.com.au/extreme/re4ro1a_re4ro3a.php
  19. mine died, turned out to be some gunk had got into pump. Took it out, gave it a shake, all good, no problems since. Mechanic mate said just bang the tank around the pump next time.
  20. options are: premium version 18/19 inch tyre + aluminium (wheel??) + viscous LSD Privacy glass
  21. thanks, will check this next, although might just give it to Godzilla motorsport for them to do.
  22. real backyard stuff, blocked off the hose into the AFM (with a wine bottle), blocked off the reducer hose before the throttle (with a can of fly spray). clamped them up. Also clamped off a few other smaller hoses, pressurized the system with a bike pump. around 10psi, held fine, couldnt hear any leaks.
  23. It is designed to suck air from the engine into the intake manifold under vacuum, and seal off under boost. I have cleaned out the carbon deposits in mine and it is still not a completely tight seal. Has anyone played with a brand new one ? Are they supposed to be air tight ?
  24. update; pressure tested the intake system, held fine. No visible/audible exhaust leaks, but really need a dyno to check properly. tested the PCV valve, faulty, should be a one-way valve, its leaking boost air into the crankcase from the intake manifold. Not sure if this is the smoking gun im looking for but i wont go any further till I replace it.
