  1. here are the transmission part #s, couldnt find the last VIN, can you re-check ? what year/month is it ?
  2. Check Nissan price first, my wife is in Japan next week, she has yahoo auction account, if auction price stayed same she could get to you for about $40-50 considering all the posting.
  3. Yes, 34 and 33 cats use same flange pattern, bolt on. Have you considered one of these ? Mine came with the flanges, bolted straight on, very happy with it. http://www.metalcat.com.au/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/me...mp;hl=catalytic http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Me...mp;hl=catalytic
  4. You should know better than to ask NISSAN before you try SAU. Hopefully they still have them in stock.
  5. Part #s for RSfour S
  6. find the bleed nipple on the transfer case, situated at the top near the hose connectors , connect clear hose to nipple, run engine, loosen off nipple slowly, allow flow until no more bubbles come out. tighten nipple and check resovoir whilst engine still running. Dont allow the resovoir to get too low during bleed.
  7. the 2008 Jap fast is full japanese, no english whatsoever, useful for really late model cars, such as V35, V36, where there is no alternative, but I included 2001 english version as well for the older Nissans, but this can be downloaded. both have pros and cons. No full manual for 33 unfortunately.
  8. further FAST research shows that gearbox 32010-12U10 were from early 97 to mid-98 on both 260RS and R33 GTR and then changed to 32010-12U60 after mid-98 for both 33 and 260. Nissan says that 12U60 is an alternate part for the 12U10, so again, prob very minor changes.
  9. according to FAST, all 260RS boxes are same, 32010-12U60, which is the identically same box on the last of the R33 GTRs, not all, from May 98 to November 98. R33 GTRs before this have various other part #s, but it is probably minor changes and the bulk would be identical. If you use FAST you can get the correct part you want.
  10. Just thought I would ask, in your next version, since you have MPG, can you include KM/L in the trip stats ? as this is my preferred econ format. thanks
  11. Some sites say 370cc some say 380cc, but you will still need to calibrate it as there will be a +/- factor. Ive been waiting until I do a long trip, fill tank, reset trip, drive, fill tank again and check fuel used against fuel pumped in, assuming the bowser is correct. The longer the trip/more fuel used the higher the accuracy will be, or even do over several long trips, noting fuel used/fuel pumped for each. i wouldnt measure it over many short trips as the probability of error will be increased. Do some quick maths and adjust the injectors accordingly. About as accurate as we can get outside laboratory conditions, temp/bowser calibration etc.
  12. the stock diff RS4 S is a viscous LSD, they dont usually lock up when they are worn, just stop LSD'ing. So you probably have an aftermarket 1.5 or 2 way which is in need of some TLC. Raise the back and test the free movement of the wheels. Id change the oil and run it like you said for a week or 2 (assume it is a clutch LSD when you choose oil), see if it comes good, but in the end you probably need to find out what diff centre you have in there and give it an overhaul.
  13. The screen overide is quite complicated, requires a piece of aftermarket equipment, PM sent
  14. just run the VIN through Nissan FAST beforehand, you can PM me the VIN to check if you want when you find. Doubt if there would be any fakes out there, 260s are not that expensive anymore and the cost of faking one would be more than a real one.
  15. You need a special harness that plugs into the back of your screen, looks like this: http://www.amazon.co.jp/Datasystem-00TV-KI...3/dp/B000HP5J4A It is not as simple as a handbrake switch, its a very complicated little harness. Most/all japanese install them as soon as they leave the dealer, so look for a small button or black box, as in pic. Might have been 'touched' when your stereo was installed. If you have no luck, i have a spare one available, pm me.
  16. many thanks ! received today. 1 qu, will the trip data always reset when ign is turned off ? cheers
  17. run the Attessa diagnostic for starters, this is for a S2, not sure if it works for S1s. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/4w...=4wd+diagnostic check your attessa fluid level make sure all your 4 tyres are exactly the same, brand/size/wear etc
  18. best to get them re-gassed, dont think the stagea ones are still available, search back, i think maxima ones also fit, covered a few times.
  19. Its same for S2's, got a AFC Neo in mine, let me know if you need any settings etc.
  20. check the business FS pages, plenty traders selling them with 1-2 day delivery
  21. the GTR.17 means it is a V-spec.
  22. any Jap Nissan
  23. I might be at Tamborine on Sat for lunch, I could have a look at it for you if you havnt figured it out by then.
  24. checked the main fuses in the engine bay ? if it was immobiliser related you would still have acc power, ie stereo.
