  1. It uses standard F-connector inputs. Ill supply a photo of back-side soon. Im not sure of the science of the dual antennas, but I think it combines them together somehow, whereas the analogue diversity system uses only 1 signal, the strongest one. Maybe someone can enlighten us better. ...."Hawk Ranger II is equipped with 2 (two) separated receiver paths, each with independent antenna input, tuner, and COFDM demodulator."
  2. This is the aerial configuration and TV booster locations for the S2 (see pics), not sure if the TV aerials were installed on all models, FAST lists different windows for TV models, so very unlikely the TV aerial amplifers would be there too. You are probably seeing the boosters associated with the radio aerials. The Asuka aerials are about 20cm x 5cm and stick on the inside of the window, but I have not tried them and doubt whether they would be anywhere near as powerful as the factory aerial+booster.
  3. Some of you S2 Tv owners lucky enough to have these onboard, thanks to our previous japanese owners, screen on/off overide switches, would be very grateful. Others can PM me for details, as Im off to Japan in March to visit the in-laws , and should be able to pick some up. These harnesses clip into the back of the screens harness, are completely hidden apart from the small button switch, allowing viewing whilst in motion, and quick shut-off when needed. For use on private roads only ! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=90156
  4. if your model has the factory TV aerials then dont need externals. updated explanation in previous post. Has 2 'rear'+ 1 'front' AV output, and 2 AV inputs.
  5. I have tried a few digital tuner boxes in my S2 C34, some better than others, but now have one that Im impressed with. I have a digital TV picture and digital radio that is completely stable in all terrains and at all speeds, using the factory TV window aerials and amplifiers. These units appear very well built and as good if not better than anything on the market. Ive contacted the manufacturer and with a group buy I am hoping to get some delivered to anyone interested in late Feb. 1 yr warranty. (if no factory TV aerials ie. non-TV stageas, those with aftermarket screens/satnavs with AV in, extra for a pair of ASUKA stick-on interior aerials.) PM me for anyone interested. 2x F-connector plugs for adapting factory aerials included. Automatic reverse camera switching. Ive done up a DIY installation guide to help anyone looking at installing this or another digital box into a S2. (similar instructions for installation into M35's) Some specs: Description Specs Brochure contact me if you previously enquired, or anyone wanting info on how to get one. 6. Mine is mounted under passengers seat, using the unused "power/heater" seat power harness. Plenty of clearance their for an amp.
  7. None, no software available for use in Australia by the Xanavi system.
  8. thanks, ive decided to go for this product, programmable speed fan settings , varies depending on temperature. Also uses factory temperature sensor. Will marry it with a 16" Spal 2470CFM fan. http://www.spalusa.com/fans/automated/acce...ies/fanpwm.html
  9. Use the M-AT (tiptronic) instructions, not 4AT
  10. have you got a manual or any writing on the dipswitches, i could translate japanese if you did.
  11. If the ECU detects a fault, it will store it in its memory, when you perform the diagnostic test it will flash a code, check the code to the list, which ill provide, and hopefully will steer you in right direction. Can be done for ECU, Auto ECU, Hicas, Attessa(4wd). Sounds like your alarm/stereo installers werent too skilled. Where are you located ? Wouldnt go past Chris Rogers for these type of installs in Brisbane.
  12. Youre only source would be Nissan.
  13. There is an Auto ECU fault code diagnostic mode as well, flashes the code via the A/T dash light, bit tricky to activate, but have used it before with success. Dont have it on hand, can post it tonight if you are interested.
  14. couple of questions, as Im thinking about my thermofan setup: 1. considering the RB25det Neo thermostat opens at 82 degrees---fully open at 95, so what thermofan switch should i consider ? http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5125 On at 90 Off at 85 ? on at 92 off at 87....or an adjustable one ? 2. Where is he best place to mount the thermofan switch ? radiator side of thermostat ?? has Nissan provided any blank threaded holes for one ? (I want to keep it factory looking )
  15. nice fans Jorn, they look great, i wasnt considering thermos until i saw these http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/low-p...e-electric.html
  16. Ive got SUPER WAGON's installed, not hard at all, around 25% firmer than stock, tein SW's springs 4kg/mm F & R compared to around 3.3kg/mm standard. I think TEIN have finally realised that their springs were too hard in the past and now produce much more friendly ones.
  17. I also use MD in home and car, great format, especially for car, ill resist going to MP3s for a little while longer.
  18. Click on the OP button on the top right once you have input your VIN. This will list the options, although some cars had none. Ive found that around 1998 they changed from descibing options in japanese to english. So you also need to change the FONT from the setup menu to be able to display the Japanese, I use "Kozuka Gothic Pro R" which works, but others may as well. then of course you will need someone to read the japanese, which my wife does. simple ! Might need to install Japanese language pack from microsoft to get the japanese fonts.
  19. The earliest S2 I can find in FAST is WGNC-120001 which was Aug 1998, so August appears to be the changover. The last S1 found is WGNC34-111092 Jul-98
  20. details are: date 10/98 pearl white, grey interior RB25DET RSfourV 4WD Auto trans options: cold area version twin automatic sunroof Viscous LSD Leather powered / heated seats Navigation system 100V inverter Mini-disc radio system looks like the buyer ticked most of the boxes when it was bought.
  21. This is from Teins site Ft:-70~-17 Rr:-40~-1 (mm)
  22. double post....
  23. Yes, got TEIN super wagon's on mine, good firmness, not too much though, height adjustable, just be sure to grease the pillowballs before you install, squeak, squeak
