Hi All, I am stuck at work.. i think my m35 optional extra alarm is f*king up.. my car wont start all that i get is a couple of accessory lights.. No headlights.. the button on the key wont lock or unlock the doors.. something weird is going on.. i think it might have something to do with the AUTO button near the headlight adjustment dial (next to the drivers right knee).. Anyone got any hints or tips? i am going to have to organise a toe if i cant work it out real soon! please help! thanks to all./

spot on Dunc. i hate google maps/navigation cause it relies on internet.. local maps stored on your phone is the way to go. -

nope gps is free for everyone.. the only thing that costs is the app that interprets the GPS.. i run CoPilot.. costs $50 for all of the maps of australia also has turn by turn navigation etc.. though if you do some creative searching in google you can get it for substantially less! not sure about the Aux in the back i bought a JVC that has Line In RCA in the back.. it also has Headphone Line In on the front too though i wanted the wiring hidden away.. The tablet comes with a Cigarette charger.. i just took it apart and hard wired it in behind the stereo. -
you ran 20psi for 6 months with a factory turbo?? and other mods to help support it? hmm.. maybe ill add a couple more psi! how hard is it to drill out the restrictor? would you recommend it for a standard turbo setup?

welcome aboard mate.. you only need to idle down your call if your own a fair bit of boost right before stopping the car.. No or very little boost your fine to turn it straight off.. wont affect the start up of the car.. id be looking at other factors for that one. oh yeah imo best single mod to do is dump pipe. -

Yup held on via top grade velcro doesnt move at all and i went through the blackspur last weekend and it didnt budge! Though you can be removed if you like. Though i am running ultra dark tint all round so at night would be very hard to see.. if i am in a dodgey neighbourhood id pull it off.. otherwise i dont really bother. -

ive thought about it.. realistically it has bluetooth and a full USB port so you can surely plug it in.. you would just need to make sure there was some android software available. -

I have a completely standard m35. Only mod is LPG liquid injection. Scotty put a half system on mine the other night (dump pipe and next segment). i am EXTREMELY happy with the results! more than i expected by far. Get it done if your looking for a bang for your buck.

found it! it has like a pen lid thing that sits atop of the gear shifter.. must have fallen out of the knob when i removed it.. was under the centre console.. lucky.. i even went back to the service manual which didnt even show the part! So all done! my only problem is i dont receieve AM very well.. always got static in the background though not the end of the world. Thanks for your help guys.
-
haha yeah she is all back and everything works (phew) i was a bit worried after how much we cut out.. tho one thing still aint right.. for some reason i cant work out the button on the gear shift doesnt work anymore (the one you press in on the side of the knob to change gears). i could have sworn there was nothing to it.. you put it on and thats it.. though when i put it on now the button on the side doesnt seem to engage anymore.. Is there anything that goes into the knob before you put it on the gear shifter? Thats all i can think of that could be wrong. Little help would be great.

jesus! i should have gone to a pro! tried to do this myself yesterday! though of course i run the aftermarket carrozeria unit with of course plugs into a big HDD, SatNav unit.. which plugs into a TV Tuner under the passenger seat which plugs into more shit in the rear quarter! well it all came out yesterday! what a mission! my car is a complete mess we have cut and removed a lot of shit and the new one is now wired in though ive still gotta put it all back together again! took about 5 hours yesterday and ive still got another couple today.. though on the plus side have also hard wired power and sound for my android tablet which will go in in the near future.. some pics below:
