  1. yeah thinking about doing it myself.. though i can only find instructions that talk about removing the double din units not a single like mine.. do i need to remove the entire centre console as per the g35ipod site? if so would prob take me half a day.. i am happy to pay someone $100-150 to do it for me.. I also need them to run power and RCA to headphones up to where the factory TV unit sits for my android tablet.
  2. i should add mine looks like this the picture attached and is only a single DIN carrozerria unit.. do i still need to remove the entire centre console? i found this clip on youtube.. looks like a headache!
  3. i am about to changeover my factory headunit to an aftermarket one.. any recommendations for a m35 in melbourne? (my car doesnt have the TV unit).
  4. that aint good mate. they had my car 4 days.. they were always very good with me mate and even though they took much longer with my car than they thought they still charged me what they quoted. granted i wouldnt want to be f*kt around too.. tho ill take the guy saying its ready then saying its not 100 times over rather than get my car back and find out it isnt right..
  5. Good luck with the sale. Looks good to me!
  6. i dont understand.. there is nothing to tune with these gas setups.. they use the factory ECU nothing more.. the only adjustment is the nozzle on the gas injectors.. (i could be wrong though i dont think so).. though i guess they might need to put it on the dyno to confirm the nozzle sizes.. btw make sure you get a power run too one on gas and one on petrol!
  7. Ahh.. gotcha.. though yes if you have those mods then it is highly likely that your injectors would be flowing more than mine
  8. didnt you say you mods to your ECU? thats aftermarket management!
  9. great time to do it mate.. saw 1.55 for regular today.. ouch. id say that your injectors would be flowing more if your running aftermarket management.. look forward to the results! my mate filled up at supagas 100% propane for $.57c per litre today. laughing!
  10. Ouch oil up 15% in 2 days and now carbon tax announced.. time to get on LPG people!
  11. just ordered my turbotech off ebay.. anyone else got any comments or recommendations before i go ahead?
  12. you could always have a dedicated petrol pump switch.. that way if you ever run out of LPG it will just fuel cut not failover to petrol.. just like a rev limiter.
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2003-NISSAN-STAGEA-M35-250-RS-/200578474213?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item2eb368a0e5 Great for parts!
  14. I would tend to agree.. if your running after market management.. then tune on 100RON.. then run on LPG.. same way i recommend to petrol users to tune on 95 then run on 98.. you can be sure you will be safe.. and once you do the conversion to LPG you will still make more grunt simply due to atmospheric temperatures.. and yes Vapor systems have their own form of engine management.. i woudnt go near it.. though Liquid Phase injection (my setup) requires none and the factory computer takes care of the aftermarket injectors without even knowing it. interesting read here: (http://www.roadrunnerautogas.com/LPG.html) Advantages over other fuels The combustion of Auto gas is smoother as a result of the higher octane content. Unlike other fuels, no additives are required to guarantee high quality. Auto gas contains no lead and is therefore cleaner and leaves no residue. It is actually better than petrol because it reaches the engine in pure gas form with improved combustion resulting in fewer knocking. With modern technology, there is hardly any discharge of carbon monoxide, and compared to petrol and diesel, the exhaust fumes contain less harmful substances. The life of the engine is extended as a result of the absence of acids and carbon deposits. Less carbon means less fouling of spark plugs and points i.e. less wear and tear. The engine oil does not become diluted with a consequential reduction in servicing costs. Unlike diesel, you do not have to adjust your driving style. Cold starting is no problem; engine performance is almost exactly the same as with petrol. There is no spilling when filling your tank and no possibility of theft or pilfering. Engine noise is low and you'll be driving in a more environment-friendly way. The environmental advantages of Auto gas for automotive use are indisputable.
  15. they put the filler just below the factory petrol. it will automatically switch to petrol if you run out.. there is a button on the LED LPG gauge though not sure if you can manually fail over to petrol ive never tried pressing it
  16. i tell ya im now REALLY happy i went to LPG. This sh!t going down in Libya they think oil is going to get very expensive real soon.
  17. why are they usually dirty? i never cleaned it.. maybe the LPG installer did (unlikely though!) by the way just finished my first tank on the LPG 16L per 100 (all commuting traffic) plus i have been giving it plenty too pretty happy!
  18. i am on stock turbo.. though considering chucking one on even to run the same boost.. pending on the car a bleed valve can make the boost come on a lot quicker.. worth a shot. i was looking at the turbotech as well i dont really care if i take some life off my turbo.. good excuse to high flow it
  19. Hi all, Did a search though couldnt find anything conclusive.. Looking for a quick win on boost on my m35. Anyone chucked on a bleed valve to up from 11 to 14 psi? Any concerns i should be aware of or just chuck it on and grin?
  20. Hi all, Dont know if its any good to anyone though since i went to LPG i cant fit the moulded plastic tray that sits above the spare wheel anymore.. So if someone has lost or broken theirs its up for sale. Pick up from Melbourne preferred. Make an offer.
  21. pics as promised. sorry quality could be better only have my phone camera right now.
  22. Ok so i retract that statement. I guess you can be a very good tuner and still not understand how a factory ECU works. I guess as long as you understand piggyback or replacement engine management system.
  23. i would be very surprised if not bloody astounded if the ECU did not retard/increase timing with bad/good fuel.. every other nissan does even way back in the early 90s without it engines would be knocking to hell all the time its cheap insurance for a car company to implement. I can almost guarantee if you go out today and put 91 regular in your tank then go and drive it hard.. it will knock like f*k as it learns the bad fuel and then it will just drive really poorly and not knock anymore as it retards the timing to compensate. almost all modern cars continually adjust timing to compensate for fuel and intake temps and load etc.. I dont know who Cihan is though i dont think he knows what he's talking about. I dont think id wanting him tuning my car Sorry i must have missed AVO on the list of installers i did a search though didnt get a hit. The kit he augmented was i believe was a V6 Camry setup. Iamhe77 are you referring to 2 LPG pumps? damn that must be flowing a lot
  24. iamhe77 ill take a pic this weekend
