  1. hey mate. still going on my first tank i dont do a lot of K's most of the time.. done 168K's and LPG gauge says im half full (though its only 4 LEDs so hard to be accurate). If i get 300Ks out of the 50L tank ill be wrapped as that means its drinking 15L per 100. which is about 5% increase.. though granted now its so cheap to run im giving it a lot more stick than i used too. first tank i filled up i got at 57c per litre! (61 - 4c discount) i tell ya i was the only prick smiling at the counter! I didnt know AVO did conversions.. even if they did they prob are not certified to use Liquid injection (see below for installers). Id rather have someone that specialises in fitting these systems. if you are going elsewhere make sure you stress that you want a Liquid Phase Injection system. Nothing else. Not many people have access to these kits and id be pissed if you went in thinking you were getting liquid and you ended up with vapor. As for the m35 kit. Tamme from seaview augmented a kit from another car to fit. So there is no m35 kit. Though it doesnt really matter with a system like this. Because its so simple If it fits it works. The kit is known as a JTG (only company who do it). Here is their website: http://www.icomitalia.it/lang1/index.html If you do want to use someone else the only installers who are JTG certified can be found here: (tick the box saying JTG Liquid Certified before doing your search) http://www.australianlpgwarehouse.com.au/Find-a-Installer---Distributor.aspx Hope this helps mate.
  2. DONE!! M35 now on liquid injection! Tamme at Seaview Auto Gas conversions in seaford was great! So now what everyone is curious about how do i like it.. well... its f*kn awesome! i swear the car feels smoother on this and pulls harder than it used too! id say 10% feels about right from my asscheck dyno.. if the volvo made %14 more grunt then i guess it should be about right.. to be perfectly honest if no one told me i wouldnt have picked it was on gas at all.. it just feels exactly like petrol except that even though it 21c on the drive home it felt like i was driving it on crispy cold morning at 5am.. idle is perfect and so is everything else.. start the car cold on petrol then after about 30 seconds you hear a beep and your on gas.. cant even feel the changeover.. they did a sweet install and spent a little bit longer to ensure the plastic covers all went back on.. they even managed to get the gas filler just under the petrol one so all nice an tidy. and the best part of it all? $30 for 50Litres! (61c per litre) vs $74 for 50 litres of 98 octane (1.48 per litre). also asked him about making the injectors flow more if you put on aftermarket ecu he said not a problem.. prob an hour or so to change the nozzles on the gas injectors. couldnt be happier. some pics below
  3. just my 2 cents when i had the loaner m35 i had the exact same issue (the beep and drop out of cruise) when i indicated to overtake.. figured it may have a safeguard which stops you indicating (overtaking) while on cruise.. tho could have been also been distance from the guy in front though was a fair bit away.
  4. i got no reverse camera or sensors.. tho it beeps for as long as i am in reverse gear which kinda sucks cause my driveway is long and it wakes up my kid in the back wish i could get rid of it too..
  5. there is no fuel computer as i far i know.. the factory ECU handles all the petrol and lpg fuel delivery thats whats so good about liquid injection. anyways its done now!! picking it up tomorrow morning! will post in the LPG thread my thoughts and pics tomorrow
  6. nice one thanks for the fast replies! the guys who are installing the LPG couldnt find it
  7. anyone know where the Fuel Pump fuse is located?
  8. yeah mine is lacking a bit and drinking more juice.. though dropped it off for the Liquid Injection LPG yesterday so in a couple of days it will no longer be a problem!!
  9. actually i was hoping i could use it for the android tablet.. though i wanted to remove that vertical metal strip in the middle of it.. though from what i can feel around it seems thats what actually mounts the mount.. i can feel 2 nuts on the inside of the plastic.. So i think ultimately ill use some velcro.. so i can easily remove the tablet when i want too.. though most of the time it will be a permanent fixture
  10. will do. I asked him about what sort of power can it flow. he reckons essentially all the injectors are the same.. (has installed this system on a 500HP V8) they just use different nozzle's basing it on the injector its currently running. so as i said early.. they take out the factory injector and then put on a nozzle on the lpg injector than can flow the same amount.. so the factory ECU controls the LPG injector thats what makes this setup so sweet. So if you wanted more grunt down the line.. i guess you could just bring them a different injector and they could match the nozzle to that.. though if you didnt actually install that petrol injector you would want to be EXTREMELY careful if you then run the car on petrol.. with completely different flows and less octane your asking for trouble dont know its one or two pumps.. i imagine 1.. i told him that they car should make approx 230kw and 460nm and he said no problem. He reckons he can get a 50L into the spare wheel well though if he cant might have to be a 45L. Either way should be good for a bit over 300Kms per tank.
  11. ok gents.. im booked in tuesday week.. only took filling that 80L tank once with 98 premium to convince me! $103!! My car did 13L per 100.. with the power gain i will be wrapped. ended up being $4600 installed and get back $1500 from the government thats $19.50 for every 100kms. on gas with 5% more consumption (call it 15L per 100) $9 per 100. Will let you know how it goes.
  12. no info on this?
  13. damn them some nice curves! i cant believe you can make so much grunt with so little mods!
  14. look forward to the results. ive still never seen a dyno sheet from a m35
  15. thanks for the info! will attempt to wrap them up first. though will remove if i have too.. Chris i know your the AV man when it comes to stagea's so i can also ask if you know how to remove this aftermarket lcd mount? (attached) apparently another factory aftermarket job (carrozeria) i simply want to try and remove that metal plate at the front so i can prepare to mount my android tablet.. (though i think that metal plate is actually what holds the whole thing in place.. though i could be wrong..
  16. i would never go a vapor system.. just too much f*king around with tuning.. liquid is far more simple.. i have heard issues with AFM and o2 sensors with vapor though no issues with liquid.. you pay the premium though especially with a 10-20% increase in power its worth it imo. (tho saying that iam sure there are a lot of people who have never had an issue with vapor too).
  17. went down and had a chat to the guy today. he reckons we can fit a 45L in the spare wheel.. bit small for my liking.. though he is going to see if we can get a 50.. reckons between $4500-$5000 installed. plus you get $1500 from the government.. sounding promising..
  18. thanx for the info Chris. How hard are they to remove? Can i simply cut off the sensors? going to try covering them first though cause i do like to leave the windows down a crack..
  19. i did think about that actually.. though i am not sure it its noise setting it off or if its like a mircrowave buddle type thing.. i guess its volume.. though maybe ill give it a shot
  20. HI all, My M35 has what i thought was an aftermarket alarm though appears to be a factory option. (it looks like attached pic(from catalog)). My question is it seems to be too sensitive as i cant even leave my windows down an inch when i park without traffic setting it off. Anyone know if there is an adjustment or not? (generally a screw or something).. Appreciate your help
  21. see this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/339067-m35-stagea-dimensions-for-lpg/
  22. i bet its propane! or just more propane than butane
  23. i was expecting the gains to be about 10-15%.. the ECU will advance the timing automatically within reason.. (same way it retards it when you put shit fuel in it). all the LPG will do is ensure that the intake temps are always icy cold and that there is plenty of octane available.. the ECU should do the rest.. my mate even ran on pure propane for awhile which has an octane rating of 110 and is a couple of cents cheaper than LPG. though yes your right to take advantage you would need aftermarket engine management.. i am hoping one day nistune work out the VQ25DET as i much prefer piggyback to completely new ECUs.
  24. Just made an appointment with Seaview Gas Conversions in melbourne. 5k for the system (minus $1500 in rebates) reckons a day to install. Will go have a chat and check out demensions of the spare wheel well etc.. If all looks good will prob go ahead in a couple of weeks.. I live inner S.E suburbs Melbourne.. so speed cameras galore.. so more interested in keeping fuel costs down than power though if this does both its great! Just thinking about that dyno sheet.. made 14% more power.. if the stagea is the same (might even be better when i put the dump pipe on) 14% of 206kw is 235kw.. and 467nm.. sounds pretty good to me..
  25. yes i hear ya ironpaw though iamhe77 is right.. i am after power AND economy.. not just power.. and gas is half the price of E85 I know E85 is a great alternative though its 20c cheaper than ULP though from what ive read it drinks 20% more too.. so this method is a better option for me.. though not necessarily a better option for everyone
