  1. Add says 100% original.......... Except for Radio and exhaust! LOL
  2. Good find....... With that mileage I reckon around $38-$40K is fair. Bob.
  3. I bought my ADM for $53,500 from a Shannons Auction in November 2010 so they could hardly argue about the price. The last one that sold through them is owned by a forum member. IMHO - Good original cars with low mileage (under 60,000 kms) that are fully documented are worth $60K, so make adjustments from that base price. Bob.
  4. Yeah........ Sorry my mistake. Yes.... but that car has been for sale for ages. We simply need a great example to go through a Shannons auction and the sold price becomes the yardstick. It will happen in time, It always does. Bob.
  5. No....... The Newcastle car is still there..... http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=SSE-AD-2034330&Cr=3 Bob.
  6. You would loose! I would buy a SL 55 AMG and pocket $20K. Bob.
  7. If they aready have a 35 an R 32 ADM would be the logical bookend.........
  8. Ok....... I now know your issue. I had no joy with retailers around your suburb. Ring Peter at Road and Race http://www.roadandraceperformance.com.au/ He is the best wheel balancer I've come across in 30 years. Tell him Bob with the GT-R sent you. Guaranteed you will be happy.
  9. What part of Sydney are you in? Wheel balancing is a major issue........ MOST PLACES DON'T DO IT PROPERLY!!! If you are near or are will to travel to Rydalmere I can help you with someone who does it properly. Bob.
  10. Cool........ Thanks for letting me know. Regards, Bob.
  11. Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Looks as though I can answer my own question. After posting the original question, I went and had a look at a 1/1994 GT-R..... Obviously one of the last of the series. Pics attached. It also did not have the horizontal mould. I am now quietly confident that this feature was reserved only for the ADM's. ADR's at the time required a clear screen, meaning the antenna fitted in the JDM's screen was not compatible until a few years later when the rules changed. ADM's also got the green tinted top band which the JDM's did not Appreciate your help....... Cheers, Bob.
  12. Hi Guys, I am trying to find out whether early or most R32 GT-R's did or did not have a mould than ran along the top of the screen. If you look at my attached pics you will clearly see that there is no top horizontal mould however there is 2 vertical ones on either side. My JDM is a 1990 model but it does have the original Nissan screen with the radio antenna built in. It certainly looks as though it should have it but I was told by a reliable source that earlier cars don't have them. I am trying to work out what year model had them introduced. I also have a ADM R32 GT-R (1991) and that one does have the mould...... I just check my 1989 and 1990 original brochure/catalogues and you can clearly see they doesn't have them so I know my car is correct in that sense. I looked at a late 1992/3 catalogue and it doesn't show it as clearly but it looks as though they are there. It may have been another series 2 upgrade that also came with the ADM cars as they had different screens however were built before the JDM series 2's. If you own a R32 please reply with a yes or a no to the mould and the year model of your car. Thanks guys, Bob.
  13. I've looked at the car and I believe the mileage is genuine. Everything about it is in line with what you would expect. Interestingly, it had a not for sale sign on it when I saw it so I'm not sure what the deal is? Bob.
  14. What about this one? http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=AGC-AD-13271823&Cr=12 Bob.
  15. Another ADM has just popped up....... I've seen this car, it's supurb! http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=SSE-AD-2034330&Cr=4 Bob.
  16. Correct...... Well maintained low mileage car drives exactly as the factory intended it to.
  17. The difference is mainly due to the JDM having a heavy duty Exedy clutch and all the consequenceses than come from that. The drive train is noisy by comparisonsn. The trust bearing although new (supposedly anyway) is very noisy and it has 30 mm heavy duty firmer lowered springs. Add that into the equation and it just doesn't have the smoothness and driving ease the ADM has. Interior wise, the ADM is mint. It had the dealer fitted lambswool seat covers on it since day one so when I removed them, the seats were new. They even have that new car smell. The JDM's interior has been restored so there is no comparison. I will find out tomorrow whether my mate is going to buy the JDM. Bit of a saga since mid February but unless he confirms he will take it, I'll keep it and put a new stock clutch and thrust bearing in it. I also have the original springs which I may refit too. You are right though, they should be the same and hopefully if I keep it they eventually will be. Here are some interior pics to give you an idea....... Cheers, Bob.
  18. Marco........ In regards to the tail lights they are an insurance policy. I would be devastated if the originals were damaged, not to mention destroyed in a smash. What do we do then? I love collecting this stuff so I try not to let opportunities like this go by. When I get the poster, I'll take it to Officeworks and to a printer I know who can probably replicate it. I'll sus it out and let you all know as I'd love to recoup some of my initial outlay. My initial thought was to pay up to $70.00 but with 7 hrs to go, the auction was already up to $165.00! Anyway....... I'm less cranky at myself for paying over the odds than being a tight arse and missing out on something quite rare. Cheers........ Bob.
  19. Marco...... My comments will come of no surprise who have read my previous posts. You have a stunning car that should increase in value over time. For it to do that, a collector needs to be attracted to your car. These cars are well and truly passed the stage where someone will buy them as a daily drivers. Those days went 10 years ago. Collectors want originality, they want to see what Nissan did back in 1991 to make these things cult cars. The further way from stock you go, the closer you go to competing with a similar speced JDM car. The attraction of our cars is the uniqueness and quirky differences to the JDM's. Look at things realistically, you admit you hardly drive the car anyway, so what if it's a bit slower cause it's stock? I drive my JDM at least once a fortnight and can't believe how beautiful the ADM in by comparison. Don't get me wrong, the JDM is nice but it's like comparing Tracey Grimshaw to Miranda Kerr..... Get my drift? Personally I would restore it to stock, and sell any of the non-original parts and enjoy the CASH! We can all do with some extra stuff eh. Just get out and drive it at least once every 3-4 weeks for an hour or so. On a different note, I picked up a couple of extremely rare items this week. Paid far too much for the poster but hey what do you do if that's what it takes? ....... The tail lights, they are a bargain I'm so rapped with them! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121085396652?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 And............... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AUSTRALIAN-DELIVERED-R32-NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTR-TAIL-LIGHT-Lenses-Bathurst-cars-/190810931167 Cheers, Bob.
  20. I've only had good experiences at Skyline Spares........ He knows his stuff so I am surprised to hear the negative comments. Bob.
  21. Yes...... We've all been there but fortunately I'm out the other side now. I had 3 under 3...(twins) 20 years ago. I couldn't afford a 1:43 scale GT-R then let alone what I have now but as time goes things fall into place. Cheers...... Bob.
  22. No...... Red, Silver and Black only....... Cheers, Bob.
