  1. Hi......... I think I have a R33 as well but that doesn't have the rear connectors for the AM/FM dash controls. It needs to have a provision for 4 inputs whereas the R33 I think only has 3. If you take a pic of the back I can explain further. Yep, need a 32 manual to match my car. Regards, Bob.
  2. Hi Guys, As the tittle states, I'm restoring my car to original stock condition and would like to purchase an original JDM radio cassette player. I know it needs a band expander but that's fine. I'm still after an original R32 owners manual in Japanese if someone happens to have one floating around. Please let me know if you have either so we can discuss price. Here's a pic of what I'm looking for. Thanks, Bob.

  4. Does anyone know if aftermarket versions of this windscreen are available? I know you can get it through Nissan but they are around $1200.00! Thanks, Bob.
  5. Does yours have the radio aerial in the windscreen? Bob.
  6. Funny you say that...... My black and white plates look Dark Grey and White on some angles. Bob.
  7. Update......... My plates arrived and I collected them yesterday. The RTA website is wrong......... 5 digit plates are still the narrower version so no trimming is required. I think they look the best on a 20 year old car. Cheers, Bob.

  9. Thanks Guys, Here are the plates... I wanted 5 digit plates so I could trim them down to fit inside the JDM holders. Old style Black with white lettering. One off fee plus $90.00 per year. As we all know, the normal plates are 7 mm too wide but if you trim too far you start going close to touching one of the digits. In the old days, 5 digit plates were narrower than 6. That's not the case today. All plates are 372mm wide, they just space out the digits further. You can see how much extra room is available for trimming at the ends....... I have some NOS Altrex (old Style) 5 digit plate holders which I'll use and just trim down the plates to fit. This way, the plates and holders will fit perfectly into the number plate fixing cavity. Should be a good fit. I'll post them up once done. Cheers, Bob.
  10. Unfortunately good things aren't cheap but Covercraft are the best covers by a country mile. I bought an indoor one for my other car nearly 5 years ago and it has kept its shape after 2 washes per year. It's soft, doesn't scratch the paintwork and is very easy to put on and take off. The yellow one pictured below is a CoverKing cover and its crap by comparison. The only reason I got it was Covercraft don't do yellow and that was the colour of my M3. Expect to pay about $517.00....... I will get one for my ADM R32 but all my money's going into my JDM at the moment. Here's a link....... http://www.covercraf...oor_covers.html Screenprint below. Cheers, Bob.
  11. Nearly......... The 11th digit on the blue Nissan Build Plate on the firewall needs to be an 8. A std GT-R will have a 7 and a V-Spec 1 will have a blank space with no number inserted. Cheers, Bob.
  12. I'm not sure what model or exhaust he has but in 1991 the std JDM exhaust (rear muffler) failed the ADR stationary noise requirements. Nissan Australia had to fine tune/ modify the muffler to comply with the rules. It's always going to be tough when the stock exhaust fails, let alone when an improved flow version is fitted........ Cheers, Bob.
  13. BTW..... Do you have anything left from the car your wrecking? My JDM may need a few bits and pieces. Bob.
  14. Thanks mate..... PM sent. Bob.
  15. Hey guys..... I'm after an original 1990 JDM owners manual for a GT-R. I know that they are all Japanese hence why I can't read ads to find one. If someone has one, or if you can read Japanese and can check the usual sites I'm happy to pay for you efforts. Cheers, Bob.
  16. I bought this one a couple of weeks ago so now I have the best of all worlds. ADM to look at and JDM to drive on weedends...... Bob.
  17. The car I've bought would rate slightly better than about a 6/10....... It needs gearbox overhaul as reverse is near impossible to get once she's warmed up. The air-conditioning needs to be inspected and serviced and a top to toe service, replacing all fluids, belts and hoses where needed. I have an original Nissan Bose (Clarion) premium radio cassette player to go in which will be matched to the factory fitted rear speakers. It needs tyres but as I stated previously, I contract to Bridgestone so I am entitled to a small discount. I'll get a set of Adrenalin RE-002's. The wheels are good just need to machine the far outer edge and touch up. My mate has a Touch up Guy Franchise so he will do that for me for a token fee. Suspension is perfect and pretty much at std height. Brakes are good with new front rotors and new pads all round. The interior needs a bit of a tidy up though..... Dash bubble is there but it's just too dear to pay someone to remove and refit dash. Drivers seat need work so I'm meeting with my trimmer tomorrow morning to discuss options. I can buy a damaged drivers seat but with OK trim if needed. Ideally I'm keen to see if he has some material that will match...... I'll let you guys know if I have any joy. Exhaust is stock so nothing required there other than raising the tailpipe a touch. My hope is to bring the car to a 8.5/10 and as close to budget as possible. Ordered new plates for her last night.......... GT 032 Cheers, Bob.
  18. Don't make that call now....... Forcast looks OK. Bob.
  19. Yep,. thanks for all that. It's at my mechanics now getting a heap of work done including a gearbox rebuild... Bob.
  20. My advise is a bit late, but for others....... Pay $176.00 and get premium roadside assistance. You'd get a free tow home! Bob.
  21. Thanks Matt....... I contract to Bridgestone in their Golf division plus I've been a Bridgestone fan for many years so not much chance of changing. The old RE001 was a great tyre so I can only presume the new RE002 will be slightly better. I know all the R&D they do.... great company. Bob.
  22. Great........ Two runs in April! Just make sure it's not on the same day.
