  1. We have all heard of the guys that love big exhausts but this guy certainly won the cake with this one............
  2. What a wonderful little event. I had a great and relaxing time and met some really nice people. Here are a few pics that might make you laugh or at least scratch your heads. Try this one......... A Mazdza Roadpacer! Any Idea what it is? I saw a couple over the last 35 years but there were plenty who hadn't. If it looks familiar it should................. The good old Holden Kingswood was sent over to Japan with no running gear. Mazda fitted a rotary engine, their own gearbox and diff and here it is. Didn't sell well. Wonder why!
  3. The East or Sydney City side if that makes any sense. You basically loop under the bridge and end up on the Parramatta side. Cheers and see you tomorrow. Bob.
  4. Hi and welcome........ I did a quick search and found the car that you are looking at............ It looks pretty clean and tidy to me. Do you plan to drive it as a daily or a weekend fun car? Regardless, $5k should put you in a good position, especially if all the major stuff has been done. When I bought my car I replaced all consumables (belts, hoses, fluids, plugs, seals, leads ets etc) plus had a dyno tune and the total bill was around $2200.00. That said, if you have any major issues then the rest of your $5k won't take long to disappear. I noticed that your car has pods but the seller is offering the original air box with the sale. Make sure you take that as here is NSW the police are rather strict on the intakes and defect plenty of cars for this reason. Personally I'd sacrifice some performance but be comforted by knowing your not going to be hassles by the boys in blue. Other guys on here are a lot better equipped to advise on the pitfalls of the R32 GTR but after 17 years most obvious issues would have been sorted by now. Good luck with it............ Bob.
  5. OK..... I'll answer my own question.. Yes it is the Shannons car as I can cross reference it from here - http://www.bonhams.com/aus/auction/19372/lot/304/ It was originally bought from Shannons at auction in mid 2009, private sale in late 2010 unsuccessful. The car went to Bonhams ...... No sale. Auctioned at Shannons...... No Sale but then I guess you bought it from their Park and Sell facility? Cheers, Bob.
  6. Hi and welcome. You will find some interesting reading here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/343750-aussie-delivered-r32-gtrs/ If you fast forward to post number 71 you will see that your car is number 19. Did you buy this one from Shannons? My mate nearly bought that car from the previous owner about 10 months ago but found another one just as he was about to pay a deposit. I know a little bit about the car so I'm happy to help out with what I know if you want. Cheers, Bob.
  7. That won't happen.............. It would have needed to rain all week and they make that decision on a Friday. Whilst we have had a fair bit of rain, it's also been stinking hot so the grounds would have dried out by now. I think we will be fine. Bob.
  8. How the hell can you get two totally different forcasts? http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/sydney.shtml http://www.weather.com.au/nsw/sydney Bob.
  9. Yes you can....... They may ask for a gold coin donation or it's totally free. Bob.
  10. My mate's entrant number is 211 so you would have to think 250 is around the money? Bob.
  11. 12 pages of complaints... I think it says it all.
  12. The more I read about the lack of availability of these unique parts the more concerned I am about driving it. God help the imbecile that ever rear ends me! Bob.

  14. Look at a Torana A9X vs. a Torana SLR 5000, the difference is very little but 3 times the price. Bob.

  16. Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words. Bob.
  17. Seller probably wants $50K...... Was worth $3K 10 years ago. Bob.
  18. Like this one? http://australianmusclecarsales.com.au/muscle/144683-lx-ss-torana-hatchback?query=torana Bob.
  19. LOL..... Magnum cars were actually 308 GTS's ( 4 in total during the 8 years of the show but don't get me started on that). The 308's went from 1976-1985 and then the 328's went from 1985-1989. Series 2 or as they are know MY88.5 are the ones to get. Crappy rusty UK imports are around $70K, Good Aussie delivered cars are around $100K with top shelf cars pulling another $20K. Mine owes me $120K. Courtesy of a 1980 VC HDT Brock Commodore that I sold in the Muscle Car boom! Cheers, Bob. Here are a couple of pics of it..........
  20. Umm....... You want to see those pics here? Is that what you are asking? Bob.
  21. Hi Guys, I'd like to catch up with who is attending this show. Could you please continue my thread with your name, user name and the car you will be attending with. At least that way we can meet up and introduce ourselves. 1. - Bob / Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR / R32 GTR
  22. To validate what I'm talking about above, I've been keeping a close eye on an Ebay auction for an original uncut Ferrari key for my 328 GTS. It took me 2 years to get one and I paid about $200 for it. Bare in mind that you can use a $15 generic blank. I thought it would be nice to have an extra spare if I could get it for less money than I paid 2 years ago. I think not......... http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 Bob.
