Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's

Hi Peter, The part number for the front badge is 6289262C00 Unfortunately the part has not been available for quite a while. You can get a very similar badge off a period correct Pulsar/Exa or similar but it is slightly different. That said it is closer than the "S" badge from the JDM's. Send me a PM when it arrives and if you would like me to have a look at the car for you and help compile a list of "fixes" I'd be only too happy to help. I have 2-3 main suppliers of used parts and 4-5 suppliers of new parts so usually between all of them we can go close to getting most things. That said, some things are a hell of a lot harder to get than they were 18 months ago. Anyway, drop me a line when she arrives. Cheers, Bob. -
Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's

Congratulations Peter ....... If it is the one from South Australia I think you snatched a bargain. It lasted less than 24 hours on Carsales/Carpoint. I spoke to the owner and confirmed the build as number #51/100....... I aslo advised him that the quoted colour splits were wrong. They are 45 Red, 30 Black and 25 Silver........ I know of at least 3 silver ones that have gone to god in the last 4 years, let alone what has happened to them in the 21 years prior. At the price you would have paid you can't lose. What State/City are you in? Cheers, Bob. -

Buying a GTR, and I need your help!

Hi........ I don't have time at the moment to answer all your questions but this car seems to be a pretty good indicator of where the market is at. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=OAG-AD-13728478&Cr=9 Please note I have NO VESTED INTEREST in this car but like the basic original presentation of the car. That said, the N1 add ons are desired by many but not me. 18 months ago a similar car would have been $25K but the facts are these cars have zoomed up in value. To import, compliance and register a grade 3.5/B car your looking at around $30-$35k. This car is slightly better than that and you can see and drive it. Anyway, this gives you a starting point. Cheers, Bob. -
Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's
Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR replied to BoyWhoCriedWolf's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Absolutely......... No doubt about it. In Australia ADM delivered R32's are at the top of the pile. An enthusiast and a collector are two quite different buyers. I'd bet the buyer knows very little about Skylines, let alone R32's. With all that said, they are collectable and good luck to him, he now owns one and has helped appreciate their values for us current owners. I'd be more that happy to buy him a beer or two! Cheers, Bob. -

It has 148,000 kms....... I thought it would sell closer to the $50K reserve but the market has spoken. No matter how you look at it, all R32 GT-R's have gone up a minimum of 50% over the last 18 months. Here are some pics I took of her when first listed. Cheers, Bob. -

Sorry...... Misread your post. Here they are in price order......... http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?YearFromShort=1635&sortby=~Price&SearchAction=N&q=((((((Make%3d[Nissan]{%26}(Model%3d[Skyline]{%26}Badge%3d[GT-R])){|}(Make%3d[Nissan]{%26}(Model%3d[Skyline]{%26}Badge%3d[GT-R+V-Spec]))){|}(Make%3d[Nissan]{%26}(Model%3d[Skyline]{%26}Badge%3d[GT-R+V-Spec+II])))%26(((SiloType%3d[Dealer+used+cars]|SiloType%3d[Brand+new+cars+in+stock])|SiloType%3d[Demo+and+near+new+cars])|SiloType%3d[Private+seller+cars]))%26Service%3d[Carsales])%26Year%3drange[1980..1994])&YearToShort=1665&limit=12

They are just at that transitional stage. Almost "no man's land".... Too old for a daily but not old enough to be a classic. In 6-7 years time they will be very collectable. Good value at the moment.

Unfortunately everything in Australia is affected by the exchange rate at the time. If Skylines were locally built cars in mass volumes then yes, it matters little but the overseas prices are the reality. There are 11 R34 GT-R's for sale on Carsales/Carpoint and the cheapest is $70,000.18 months ago, they were in the mid $40K's....... There are also 11 R33 GT-R's for sale and only two are under $30K. Of the 14 R32 GT-R's for sale (barring a couple of junkers) they pretty much start at $26K. To say our prices are not effected by what goes on overseas simply doesn't stack up with what is going on in the marketplace. Have a look at 1984-1989 air-cooled Porsches, 18 months ago you could get the best one in the country for $65K. The same car today is $135-$150K......... Collector cars are bought by collectors, not enthusiasts. Take your pick....... http://www.classicthrottleshop.com/classics.htm

This 10,000km R34 sold for 7,050,000 JPY. http://www.exportcar.jp/en/component/auctstat/?view=auctstatdetail&id=lHWYgeH5dNAs8Nm That's over $120K........ Landed/Complied and Registered. Good luck finding an R34 with less than 10,000 kms for $70K. That boat sailed a long time ago.

Its worth more than $40K in todays market. This one sold for 4.5 million Yen http://www.exportcar.jp/en/component/auctstat/?view=auctstatdetail&id=lHuSqwfNJuJYbsn This one sold for 3.6 Million Yen http://www.exportcar.jp/en/component/auctstat/?view=auctstatdetail&id=6UEmtMLqcW4ixn That's $75K and $62K respectively, landed, complied and registered. That's your current yardstick. Beautiful car, good luck with the sale. Bob.

Ta..... I've spent the last 3 months tinkering with it, fixing a few things but generally speaking it was a very good car to start with. Mick's going to store it for me as I've got no room. I'm looking forward to displaying it at next years GT-R Festival along side my ADM. It will probably be the first time an ADM and a JDM have parked next to each other with both cars being 100% stock down to radios. It will educate people on all the changes Nissan had to do to ADR the GT-R in 1991. Bob.
