  1. hey, just after some info can someone have a look and tell me where every hose on their charcoal canister runs?? thanks in advance cameron
  2. also stripped interior. fitted screws in the dash where there were that many missing i dont know how anything was staying in place... well things sort of werent!! fitted mint condition front seats from a good wreck fitted as new carpet from the same good wreck. modified gear shifter and fitted. karchered and disinfected rear seats. car is ready for wiring.... anyone in newcastle interested in doing this?! lol
  3. yeah it looks like its meant to be there! update: all fluids filled. sway bar bushes replaced with nolathane and whiteline items. clutch fluid line made up, fitted and system bled. batter clamp made and fitted. power steering lines made and fitted. intercooler brackets made and fitted.
  4. i have the glass window out of the drivers side door of an r32 skyline for sale great condition make an offer and its yours in newcastle, nsw 2287 cameron 0415108348
  5. heres a big update engine and gearbox is in, all mounts made by me, ive made up a set of custom dump pipes which have come up absolutely mint, and just get around the skyline steering arm!!! got a 5 puck carbonic button clutch with ultralight flywheel, hd pressure plate the speedo drive from the skyline was a perfect match to the r154 gearbox AWESOME! the soarer throttle cable was nearlly identical to the skyline one apart from length, so with minor modification it fit AWESOME! Lots of stuff matches up between nissan and toyota which is making the conversion very easy. not long now and itll all be running.
  6. airbox didnt suck it in, but i was fitting extractors to a vt commodore the other day and there was a spoon wedged down inbetween the engine mount and block.. wtf!!!
  7. 12 psi at just over 2000rpm with a 3076?? wow! if my reading has been correct, this its for a 3litre also. i think its a cool idea to try
  8. been down this path. you can get r31 ones off ebay for $50 a set and they are pretty much identical
  9. i disagree, for starters, whats wrong with just running 12 psi?? you have the potential to make minimum 300kw and it will definately make that power earlier in the rev range then a big single will. also, a huge amount of people push more then 12psi through 33 turbos all day anyway with no issue, chances of damaging motor... slim. i think its a good idea, cheap easy driveable power. go for it!
  10. there were 3 charges associated with it, the biggest most serious charge was dropped finally after a lot of hassle to do with the coppers blatant lies and made up story.
  11. you haters are crazy. id love to see 2 r33 turbos in a twin set up. less laggy, more useable power on the street then a big big single. who cares if they end up breaking, they are cheap as piss to replace. And you can build the setup for under a grand easily.
  12. i had a police "officer" write a "facts" sheet about me to be tendered to court which was riddled with lies and some paragraphs completely made up. Some of the things he stated occurred, were physically impossible to do!! Endered up getting out of it after a big representation and facts sheets from witnesses and so on to prove him wrong.
  13. i have stanley tools, im on them 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. without issue. They are great. i dont like sidchrome ratchets because of their direction changing mechanism, you accidently bump it all the time, i also dont like their spanners, they are too long imo.
  14. xforce/varex is not very good stuff. the quality is not there at all. people constantly unhappy with their varex as the mechanisms have plastic components which melt. xforce systems in general dont always fit very well. if you want a decent variable muffler which wont affect performance and wont risk engine damage and is very strong and durable look up the far advanced DYNOMAX VT MUFFLERS. GOOGLE IT
  15. wrong, people get let off for it in nsw all the time!!! ive been a passenger in the car where p platers have been pulled over in their turbo cars up here in newcastle, on occasion the cops have let them off with a warning, and on 2 other occasions the cop didnt even realise the car was turboed, being too dumb to see front mount, turbo sticker, exhaust, etc
  16. its worth fitting if you have a blown headgasket anyway, and if you plan on going bigger turbo down the track. i suggest going back and asking them to pressure test the cooling system and go from there. you dont have any power steer or transmission fluid cooling through the automatic radiator do you?? just checking as there might be a hole between the oil and coolant tubes and oils getting in the coolant that way.
  17. a bit strange you have no bubbling in the radiator and the combustion gas test came up negative. Have you pressure tested the cooling system. i highly recommend this, its a check i do first when any car comes into work with a possible hg issue. if you have a substantial pressure drop over a short period of time and theres no coolant running out on the ground you have a pretty good idea its going somewhere its not supposed to, like into the oil or into a cylinder! pricing for headgasket job sounds fair enough, maybe go ahead and do it anyway if you plan on boosting the car more, that way you have a nice strong metal headgasket plus you rule out that being a problem.
