an example is a custom made exhaust for your car from an exhuast shop. Iam a mechanic working in an exhuast shop. i have made lots of systems for skylines and silvias/180sx's. We buy in the dump pipe, it is australian made by advance headers and are of very good quality, then we make the system out of mandrel or press bent, your choice. like i said earlier in the thread, for great sound and performance i would go in one of 2 directions. 3inch system with glass pack chambered muffler in the middle and twin drift pipes at the rear. or 3inch system straight through to quality cannon at the rear. both with the advance 3inch dump and a high flow cat. i personally love the sound of the chambered muffler and drift pipe set up but many love the cannon set up as well so the choice would be yours.

there are some deadset dickheads out there arent there! lol got 3 or 4 people keen on the motor but no ones shown up with the cash yet

I work in a small mechanical establishment and i know that for the work done, the previous owner was not overhcagred, not that it has anything to do with the sale of my motor anyway!! Im not sure on the km/s on motor but i believe it to be around 130k from odometer records. I have not compression tested, with a gt3540 turbo the motor was making 240kw, i have dynos sheets for that. so it must be reasonably healthy to pull good numbers. I can send pictures via text, so if you give me your number i will send you some

whats with everyone talking about the receipts that came with the motor i have? wouldnt buy u parts and labour to build a forged motor buddy!!!! it might buy u a second hand forged motor, or just the parts. i just rebuilt an ej25 with all standard parts. and the bill was $6000. seems to be a lot of people on here with no idea!

obviously there was more work then that done joel. we charge a minimum of $1000 to remove and replace an engine at my work so you can see how quickly costs add up when you include the labour involved in pulling the engine down, machining head, fitting full VRS kit among other parts, including head service, sourcing and buying second hand head. the previous owner was not ripped off, if you actually read the receipts which will come with motor.

why are you telling me to go round to local exhaust shops? did you not read my post, iam a mechanic in an exhaust shop. we do offer a lifetime warranty on some of our systems too by the way, We weld up cracks in stainless exhausts from factory systems, constantly, cheap systems sometimes and also high end systems as well. A big shiny stainless exhaust is a "wanky" item, they are marketed for the wankers who can boast about it down the pub, or on a forum in this case lol. even our suppliers tell us that. stainless exhausts are good, but dont write off mild steel, both have their pros and cons
