  1. hamiltonau - good job! hope all your future car and non car related endeavors go according to plan. I agree that everyone needs some form of pleasure in their life and its sounds like you're well and truly overdue. adamskill - Not sure what kind of skill you claim to posses, It is clearly not reading nor comprehension. Hamiltonau started this thread asking for advice regarding the best way to spend his $8000 that he has saved and now wanting to spend on his R33 nissan skyline. He also mentioned he didn't want to spend all of his saved amounts and not be able to see a noticeable improvement compared to that of a standard R33 nissan skyline. Can you please focus on the request at hand instead of straying off topic
  2. xALmon - I feel more of my time is needed to add to this growing thread (and the growing concerns I have). In no way am I trying to tell anybody what to do. I just felt the necessity to bring basic parental responsibilities to the attention of the thread starter, in this case hamiltonau. If you wish to describe myself as having large amounts of commitment, well I am fine with this. You may be wrong, you may be right. At the end of the day it is your opinion and being able to freely discuss this on a public forum is fantastic. However I am somewhat confused to the reasoning behind you trying to do this in a second language when previous posts clearly show you are far from competent in that said language. Maybe that discussion should be left for another time ...? hamiltonau - Please accept my sincerest and humblest of apologies. I feel nothing but guilt knowing that my opinion nearly brought you to the point of exploding with rage/indignation. I agree that the topic titled "the best way of raising a child" would be on a completely different forum and yes most probably not on a forum about modifying cars. I would also like you to reconsider you image of me being a "self important dick" . How can one regular forum goer (xALmon) describe me as being a hero with loads of commitment and passion, yet you cannot? I unfortunately still feel you don't fully understand your responsibilities of being a parent. Just because your ex wife owes you money this does not mean you should threaten her by suggesting you would withhold child support payments. After all this money is for your son isn't it? Sounds like you have everything on the right track though (no pun intended ) Can I also suggest before making comments in future posts / threads you think about what it is you are typing and how this may make you look. The picture you painted of yourself with certain comments made you look like a first class loser of a man / father. I am happy you have been able to move on with "the business at hand", that being the modification of your car. Lastly, if at all possible could you please help me out with all my spelling errors? In return I will help you out with missing words, spelling, grammar, word choices, general life coaching, understanding and handling criticism, anger management and ways to channel this to find inner peace. Thankyou
  3. xAlmon - , I signed up originally to express my thoughts on the State vs Eastes thread that is correct. I couldn't believe that the majority of the forum was supporting his illegal wrong-doing hence wanted to add my opinion to the thread. Same goes with this thread. Patrick / hamiltonau has an obvious problem. He has put his own selfish unnecessary wants(not needs) before his child. I'm sure his son will enjoy all the benefits of having a bankrupt father at birthday and Christmas times...... Not intentionally having a go at him, all I have done is state facts. If you have no money, you don't drive around in a petrol guzzler and you certainly don't buy upgrades for said petrol guzzler. not really rocket science is it ... ? hamiltonau - , I now have 5 posts , not ONE ..
  4. hamiltonau, Having declared bankruptcy recently and deciding to spend the small pissy amount of money you have wormed together on your car. (which if you had any brains you would have sold) ....... smart move! Bragging about your ex wife doing all the hard parts of raising your child, ...... what a man you are! Thinking that you will be able to afford "the car of your dreams" in a few years (pissing more money away), you really must be a dumb shit, especially in the position you have put yourself in. Do you not have any responsiblities? if not for yourself what about your son..? poor little guy You really seem to be one pathetic stupid little looser of a man. If you feel differently you are wrong.
  5. Is anyone else slightly annoyed (read pissed off) by the outcome of this? Forget what kind of car the original poster drives. Forget the fact the original poster seems to be fairly Remorseful. Fact; With blatant disregard, he broke the law. 40+ over the speed limit in any zone is pretty much saying f**k you. 10 / 20kmh on an overtake ., ok , this you can understand. 40+kmh though .... come on! If he owned any other car every person on this forum would be giving him a mouth full but because he is driving the most enviable car on this forum "the r35" he is given help and treated otherwise. Also; Trying to excuse what he did with the excuse he was far from civilization or the speed limits are too low in that area or the other car was being dangerous by driving under the speed limit or his car has infinity years of engineering thus it can drive fast and be safe...etcetc. is a load of SHIT! The original posters licence is "so important" to his life and job. Without it he would be unable to work, as a result no income, goodby life, good by job / family support etc etc Any normal person being aware of this , being aware of how important your licence actually is to everything in your life WTF would you drive as fast as you did? There is no excuse for it! Pretending to care / show remorse by doing A volunteer car safety session ( or whatever the he'll it was) is nothing but a joke!! Being a snake trying to save money / insurance complications by registering your car under a business is a cop out. You deserve to pay 1000s more from your next rego renewal and you certainly deserve to be knocked back from most insurance companies you enquire with to see if you can get a cheaper quote! You are no different to a person driving double the speed limit in a school zone, no differnt to some one doing burn outs in a city centre. You are however similar in the way that whenever someone gets caught for being a f**kwit you are sorry. You wish you never did it. I applaud you for your determination / success in being awarded a temporary driving permit during your suspension. However, I feel that you do not deserve it and won't be taught the appropriate / just lesson. Your work life and personal life should suffer and become hard. Everbody who breaks a similar law suffers, so why are you any different?! You are not! Bring on karma!
  6. finally someone else with a bit of common sense
  7. 1.) you admit you were speeding 40km/h over the posted limit. 2.) You try claiming you overtook safely as you were watching the road and not your speedo. However what actually happened is obvious. You were driving on a "quiet mountain drive" and most probably were there to drive in a "spirited manner". You and your friend wanted to drive at the speed limit (which is understandable), you became irritated being slowed down by the white car. When it came time for you to overtake legally you vented your frustration and passed the slower car at speeds which were totally unneccesary. You claim you used a "long over taking lane", so why would you need to accelerate 42km above the posted speed limit to overtake a car which was driving below the speed limit? The argument that your car accelerates too fast and you werent aware of your speed is absolute rubbish. The argument that your car is built to be driven fast and is safer to overtake at a higher speed and not be on the wrong side of the road for as long is absolute rubbish. 3.) I cannot fathom why you feel you deserve to keep your license. Also, suggesting you are thinking of trying to get your speed reduced to 39km/h and or even trying to beat the whole charge with the help of a solicitor is outrageous! You are guilty, you did the wrong thing. Stop trying to worm your way out of it. Pay the fine and get on with your suspension.
