Hey guys, I've got a R34 GT-T 98 and its leaking white/creame coloured sticky stuff from under the car, its under the engine area but I've still got that big plastic shield under my car so i can't tell exactly where its coming from. It just started leaking it on its own, when i touch it its reaally sticky and dense and has almost no smell. I've got no idea what it is, just wondering if anyone here would have any sort of idea on what it is? (i know it sounds funny that its white and sticky but im seriously getting worried here lol)

Hey everyone, I've got a R34 GT-T 98 and its rear shock absorbers are totally gone. The thing is im on a strict budget and have called up 20+ places and i keep getting the same response. Most places simply say they cant get shocks for this car, ive tried pedders, monroe, and almost every other brand i can think of. I've been told the only shocks available are konies, which are $550 a pair, too much for me. I'm really stuck here as I don't know what to do now. Does anyone know which shocks fit R34s on the rear and anyone know of any brands that are really cheap or maybe even second hand shocks from a wrecker? Or any way at all to get my shocks replaced for cheap? I'm in NSW - Blacktown area. Any help at all would be great.

i called them, 240ea shock and 100 instalation. I've gotten quotes for 180ea so far thanks for heading me off in the right direction though.

thanks for that, but ive already got a HKS SSQV. my question is when i install my HKS SSQV on a stock R34 with a stock ECU and plumb it back, will i get any problems? and will the blow off sound still be there?

im looking for a price i can have in my head when looking for a cheap set of shocks?

how can you workout the psi it is running by looking at the boost gauge that goes up to +1 only?

sorry for the late reply, but wow i get how serious it is now. im in sydney around the blacktown area, does anyone know of the completly cheapest method to have them replaced, and i probably wont be doing them myself either. like any really cheap spare parts shop? or what do i ask for if i call the shop, its like when i bounce on the back of the car it keeps bouncing.

its a common problem, its the little motor that controls the vents is gone. theres a thread on how to fix it somewhere in the DIY section i think.

thanks for that, can i get some more opinions on this please, as i dont want my car stalling. also what would i do to prevent the "woosh" sound as i dont want attention from the cops? would the sound still come on a HKS SSQV if it was plumbed back?

it has the stock ECU, only thing changed is the exhaust. I've already bought a HKS SSQV bov so thats the reason why i wont be putting another on it. to avoid getting off topic, my real question is if i do put the HKS SSQV with a stock ECU and i don't leave it as an atmosphecric so ill plumb it back, what are the chances of problems still occuring and how do i prevent them?

I've got a R34 GTT almost completely stock and i need to replace the BOV (wont go into why). The thing is i've heard a lot of stories about installing aftermarket BOV's like the HKS and that and they give problems. I've heard of the car always stalling, the engine going, worse fuel economy and the list goes on. How often do these problems occur with BOVs and when do they occur? And does anyone know of the aproximate price for getting one professinonally installed to avoid these sorts of problems? (NSW) Thanks heaps.

hey guys, I have a R34 GTT and the rear end of it is really bouncy and i did the bounce test on the back and it does keep bouncing. so my questions are - is it definatly the shocks that are gone? - how much is the cheapest i could replace the shocks or solve this problem for, like whats the average price on new or used shocks and is it the struts or the shocks that are gone? its just the back end that bounces thanks heaps

I've figured E10 wasn't made for a 95 skyline. The fuel line got clogged up and i went to a lot of mechanics and they all blamed my fuel line which included the pump and piping. I had the car for a year and a half before i started using E10 and it never gave me problems before that.

I had the same alarm. turning the key on the actual siren only makes it a bit quiet like you said. but i dont see why you cant leave the siren chirping at a very very low volume which you can barely hear, for a while. i left mine like that for about two days and then put it back on.

i had a gts4 R33. I put really small wheels on it that clearly came from a small car and looked weird on the skyline. I never got any problems with them in regards to the 4wd or anything like that.

yeah i really dont get the prices for skylines right now. the exact same skyline, a R34 auto turbo can range from 9-15K. thats a big difference for the price its at. I reckon the real price for the car i mentioned is about 9-10k if you're after a good buy.

i dont know about all that, i can say from personal experience. I ruined by R33 NA by using E10 fuel. And im sure thats what ruined it and caused problems in the fuel line and overall fuel supply of the car.

I was wondering what the average price and what a cheap price would be for a 1998 NISSAN SKYLINE R34 25GT-T * 70,000kms * Automatic * Completely stock and very clean body. And another question, why are there so many expensive R33s gtst's on the market. Why are there so many of them selling for like 8-10k?

can someone build on this for me? the flames and the popping, i've noticed i can make the popping sound, but not that loud before. mostly when im driving constantly on a high speed, e.g 100+ and then let go of the accelerator and tap it. when i drove on 160ish and let go it made about 5 popping sounds together. is there a way for me to get more pops or flame/sparks out of the car?

it doesn't have a limiter, sorta got discouraged from it here.. but as for the performance, ive compared it to a mates non turbo r33 with a stock exhaust, no cannon. and i feel the difference in performance with mine performing better, as early as the 4rpm mark. but for fuel economy, it drinks petrol like no tomorrow, it takes as much as or even more than a 3L car we have.
