I agree dingo that historically they have made some fantastic cars in the past. but they should be improving over time. they're not as much as they should be. too much cost cutting and BS oh and the GTR is a purpose built car. Yes it is built off the base of a family car, however what i ment was that the purpose of the vehicle is racing and speed I've seen the GTR add's on the net, they're not saying its a family car. Holden tries to pass SS's off as family cars that are built for racing and speed. a horrible and contridicting combination I'm pissed off with Ford and GM for what they've done to great car companies. they farked up Saab, Volvo, Aston Martin, Jaguar and a few others. new Volvo's and Jag's really do look like Fords. Car's are becomming crapper, they're not advancing. sure the tech is getting good but they're loosing charm and class fast. everything just feels so cheap. Ford and GM didnt get to where they are by making good cars, they did it by skimping on costs and safty features. By slashing jobs and wages, crushing unions. I remember reading that earlier on in the 20th cen GM bought up some of the light rail networks in the US and dismanteled them so people would go out and buy cars. Those 2 companies got to where they were by being bastards.

the subsudaries would be bought up, like subaru/volvo/mazda etc. or they'd buy themselves out for independance.

when was the last time you saw a GT40 drive down the street or stitting in a dealership? or even a corvette for that matter? I'd say a big difference between a GTR and a 6.0L Commo is that the GTR dosent have illusions about being a family car. It knows what it is, it is a purpose built vehicle and it does it's purpose. what's the idea of a V8 Berlina? to hurl the wife and kids around the track at top speed and comfort? Family sedan 'sports' cars are a BS idea, they are hugely overpowered. i would have thought that a GTR would have better economy anyway.

the sooner GM and Ford declare bankrupcy the better the motoring world will be. they are dinosaurs and they will die like them. Natural selection will kill holden and ford. think about it, fuel economy is driving car sales......people dont want big cars as much as they use too........the big aussie family who have 3 kids, are fat and like to tow things dont buy commodores or falcons like they use too, they buy Landcruisers or Patrols. 4WD's are the new family car. no one else wants to drive one. it's a waste of fuel and space for a commuter who would normally aim for something like a Corolla etc. while Japan is pumping huge money into developing hybrids and efficiancy, Europe is developing groundbreaking disel tech, like BMW's performance disels, this tech will eventually flow down the price range. Peurgot is developing a disel/hybrid which runs a desil and electric motor. relly innovative and exciting stuff........ What the hell does Holden bring out? hmmm....a bigger V8, another RWD 6cyc 4spd. same shite different wrapping no more reliable than the last thing they brought out. another thing that no one wants. Holden is denying the reality of the world we live in and for that it will fail. The VE is another step down this road. an LPG version is a fantastic idea.

It's a bit of a game of chicken. sometimes i have to negotiate the sale of cars at work (on behalf of external vendors). a buyer will say "take price X or i will walk" and most of the time you let them. half wont ring you back but the other half will accepting the vendors initial offer.

if you dont want a dodgy car, i'd be staying right away from imports. i'd say the chances of haggling are limited because of the demand of the vehicle. they could get 13500. dealers know what a car is worth and they will not sell below that. that said, good luck! i hope you get them down. no harm or shame in asking. you'll probbaly find a middle ground with them.

if you want a turbo ford ute, then get a XR6T. just change the chip and put a high flow exaust on it and you'll be on your way.

I've read reports that suggest that advanced driver training for young people would cause more accidents then it would prevent. in my mind the jury was out on that one, but after posts like the ones i've read here, the reports have a really good point. here's some other interesting points that few would like to realise 1: the demograph of people who think that they are the best drivers on the road (males 17-25) are actually the ones who are most likely to die in a crash. 2: "Ban Low-Performance Drivers, NOT High-Performance Cars" DRIVING A HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR DOES NOT MAKE YOU A HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVER. infact there are many people who drive high performance cars becaue they are insecure or have something to prove, these are really dangerous drivers because of their impulsiveness and aggression. 3: these 'car enthuasts' who keep blaming poor roads for accidents (what a weak as piss excuse) saying the government needs to spend more on them, only to get pissed off when the government actually tries to raise revenue. 4. the death toll from driving is actually comming down. it was higher in the 70's when there where higher speed limits, no cameras and less RBT's. i could go on. people like blaming other people because it's way more comfortable then taking resposobility for your own actions

REVS checks have to be done 24 hours before purchase as well for them to be valid.

RIP it's never good to see anyone die so abruptly. but anyone here acusing the cops of causing the accident is contributing to the reason why skyline drivers are considered dangerous.

hi guys. i recently purchased a turbocharged car that's rated at 166kw stock. i'd be interested to go to a dyno shop one day in the future to see what it runs at. how much is a basic power rating review? cheers guys.

Get a honda prelude! they're a little cheaper than the integras and go very hard round the corners. and you get VTEC yo. it allways cracks me up watching nissan fans bash honda honda have made cars that no nissan ever built (stock) could touch.
