Mate, what I understand, is that I asked a simple question, "Has anyone tried this radio?", I was seeking some simple consumer advice on a thread that mentions in its first post that CB radios are a 'requirement' if you have them - I have one, but it is shit, so I wanted a better one. I did not ask for a lecture about why I should use a refedex so that I can sit in silence for hours at a time on a social trip, in my day people weren't so antisocial...

I really don't get it? What are you on about? Is there some rule against CB radios I haven't heard of? Do I need to paint mine safety orange so the police don't mistake it for a firearm? I would rather have a walkie-talkie in the car then have to do an illegal U-Turn because I wasn't in the correct lane and missed a turn off during a cruise. I understand people talking about being too dependent on modern technology, but CB has been around since the 40s... Edit: Oh, nvm, I get it now, if the police have seen smokey and the bandit, if they see you with a CB radio they will automatically assume you are helping a big rig smuggle moonshine across state lines...
