  1. At this stage im going to stick with the neo head. And [probably use pon cams, but I need to do a bit more research on cams for them first.
  2. The motor. Once assembled will have I beam rods, wiseco pistons, good oil pump etc. Head will have springs and retainers. +my current gt35 or bigger and all the other bolt ons that go with it. Was just thinking cams may be a good idea while it's going together.
  3. Yeah cheers guys.. One opinion I've been given is 24psi.. But I don't see how that could be the case as long as the spring tension etc is right and you aren't revving it stupidly high you shouldn't get any valve float (which seems to be the issue with these heads throwing shims), Also I could probably find it somewhere but does anyone know what the biggest cams you can go without losing the vct
  4. Does anyone know what the boost/power limits for neo head are?
  5. I've sent the N1 housing down to lewis engines to get billet gears fitted and he will set up all the relief valve pressure as well + supply restrictors to suit
  6. Just after opinions on a 25/30 using a neo head vs a 26/30 setup. I'm aware of the smaller combustion chambers on the neo head needing different pistons etc. It's going into a VL so either way I need to change a lot of things. I have got a neo head on the way... But wondering if I should go to a 26/30. Chasing around 450-500hp for now on 98ron, and run into the 9s eventually. Don't want to build a 30neo and later down the track regret not using a 26 head. So just wondering, which is the better choice. Sorry if its been covered before. Cheers
  7. Hey guys, Will be putting together a 30det using a neo head shortly forged bottom end etc.. Its going into a VL which currently has a genuine turbo motor in it with a turbo oil pump. I will have a N1 pump for the new engine. Am I better of putting the VL pump on it or using the N1 pump and putting billet gears in it? Is it the gears the break in the N1 pumps? Will be having a crank collar fitted as well. Cheers
  8. Hi guys, Wanting to buy a rb25-30 or rb26-30. Prefer forged and low k's but let me know what you have. Must be willing to freight.
  9. Thanks guys. Ecu is a v88 wire in. Was hoping i could use the injectors with a different fuel rail but not by the sounds of it. 35/40 has a .82 rear on it. Would be fairly laggy on the 25 i guess.. Do they even fit on the std manifolds in these things (with a spacer)? And also how are they for spare parts (price-availability)? Car I am looking at has forged rods/pistons.
  10. Gday guys Im looking into buying a series 2 R33 Gtst. For something different and a bit more modern plus being abit over the vl.. Maintenance and any work on the car will not be an issue. I started off with a n/a vl which now has 283rwkw. But I have changed basically everything. Anyway I would be looking at using anything i could on the 33. The 35/40. ecu injectors fuel reg thats prob about all that will fit.. Be hoping for around the 300rwkw mark and it will be a daily driver. I dont thrash my cars all the time just the odd squirt. What are the weak links in these r33's? Thanks.
