For the record - looked up law for you after my initial posts. TMR don't make the laws, they simply interpret them and most importantly these laws are constantly changing. Law never stays still. I never expressed an opinion on whether it could or couldn't be done. Simply posted the relevant section where all answers are found for Qld. I was trying to be helpful. However, there is the above clause and section to seek an engineer's opinion on.

Dot point 2 of clause 1.1 leaves some scope for argument. I went to conference about all of this and they are seeking to nationalise. It can be done in QLD, but may require certification depending on precedent about aforementioned point.

I was at the Sydney Motorsports park conference last year on the nationalisation of vehicle modifications. There were plenty of QLD engineers in attendance. The overall view was that it was easier and cheaper to do modifications in QLD and the NSW engineers were whinging about this to the forum. They are currently aligning all states. My RB26/30 fully engineered in QLD. Very difficult to engineer in NSW.
