  1. I keep getting photos rejected from forum - how to paste them?
  2. retainer
  3. It was a pain to winch down off trailer, but I got it eventually. Hardest part was that the camber meant the steering wheel kept returning to centre.
  4. It's a very tight fit - does have a keyway lock. Cannot understand how they rust there??
  5. I know, I know. I am seriously wondering whether OCD can manifest in car collecting Thanks for your help on Sat I am looking into getting Hardrace components for the top camber arms. AND the Craziest has now begun
  6. RB30 are an absolute pain in the a - I inoxed and wd40d the hell out of the last three and still had to cut gears, even top line pullers wouldn't sit behind gear. I can't understand how they rust on the inside of a press fit machined surface??
  7. That list of mods was like a tick the box exercise compared to my E3 - with exception of I have a better cooler, I also have block o'ringed and head receiver grooved and 290 by 11.5 cams.
  8. Biggest tip - buy a Dremel tool with metal cut blades. The timing gear is a real c-bomb to get off - cut through the key way first and opposite side second and when almost there crack the final bit by prying apart. That way you won't nick the crank. I know someone wrote about this on SAU, but what they wrote doesn't go far enough.
  9. A dirty thirty
  10. Can you post up a link please
  11. Insanity
  12. No dramas - will deliver as promised lol
  13. That was the exact car - good memory the rumour was 43psi. I think it had a T60 or T70 Turbonetics custom turbo from memory. See this thread for fond memories - 9.4sec 1/4. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/26511-rigoli-accent-in-the-9s/
  14. Yep, he was initially really happy about proving the doubters wrong until the engine died. 2.1 is high. I remember years ago hearing that Rigoli was ordering 5 bar map sensors, as the 3 bar were out of range on the racecar.
  15. that would be consistent with wastegate functioning correctly What pressure wastegate spring limits your boost?
  16. I have often wondered about Wastegate actuation, as over time vacuum drops in an engine and the wastegate seals wear. So unless you constantly adjust it the boost control will lessen over time - good reason not to buy used wastegates. On a far less serious note, and in response to 2.1 bar boost. In a modified GTIR years ago a friend used to boast that his engine could handle anything failing, so another friend told him to disable all boost control (wastegate locked) and remove the knock sensor for a 10 second full throttle blast. The thing went like a rocket - didn't blow up then, but one week later he called for a tow as he had just played catch the conrod. Motor pulled down and bearings were mushroomed and block had an awesome porthole.
  17. I'll bring one up, from my daughter's stables, to Oktoberfest for you
