  1. also i remember during the install; the bosses pushed in but then some popped back again again like yours is in your pic. Had to push them back in slowly (taarks note this in their instructions) for it to slide in and stay in; not any further issues other than that though.
  2. sure, circled in red>>
  3. I have the taarks kit and it all bolts in nicely - my spacers don't look like that though and i use the injectors that came with the kit, bosch 960cc
  4. " Tomei Throttle Coat will aid with the performance in smooth opening and closing of the butterfly which will increase throttle response. The lubrication properties will also aid by preventing the throttle from sticking and to eliminate rough idling and/or engine stalling. Improved sealing properties and efficient engine operations. " if you haven't touched the throttle body in 15+ years this might be a concern but otherwise...
  5. no but I do have some magic beans I could sell you if you would like to improve your performance.
  6. hey, each to their own...but, if i'd picked up a 2nd hand unknown engine, I had it apart, and was rebuilding it to ensure it was fresh and ready to last for me, there's no way i'd be sticking with the rings that were in it; i'd replace them along with bearings, water pump, timing belt, anything else that might " look fine". A set of rings is like 200 bucks, a hone does effectively nothing to the bore size, and pulling out and dismantling the engine is one Fkton of work, as anyone that's ever done it knows, so replace them while it's all apart, if budget isn't the utmost concern.
  7. I see OP is mad-keen for assistance...hence my initial sarcasm, intended with a touch of post-modernism grace and an air of zivot-neni-krasne pretentiousness.
  8. Yes, you can. The main issue is the drill speed too fast and it cuts too shallow a cross pattern. Something slow, eg cordless drill on low speed and a fast up/down motion, will work fine. Does't need long to work. Yes you should replace with new rings while out, and from there yes you should re-hone.
  9. The market is clearly telling the japanese auto industry what sort of cars they need to start building...90's classics.
  10. Lol no it was definite sarcasm, lets have no doubt on that :p. With a post like that, pics will always help - show the current filter, and the space it goes into. do you mean 6in base, or 6in intake pipe size?
  11. Whatever you do, definitely don't post a pic of the filter or its current location, to help with your query... Having said that, i'd be amazed if you couldn't find anything suitably sized to replace. There's a huge range out there.
  12. Lol have u seen the price of DHL shipping at the moment?? You'd want gold plated triple platinum etc service to charge $90 to deliver a single air filter from jpn to aus ( i didnt proceed with the order). DHL's service has always been amazing but priced thru the roof at present.
  13. I'll add, my recent order thru them was around 2 1/2- 3 weeks late..their site says, will be delays with shipping - didn't panic, order arrived accordingly.
  14. They probably have a huge backlog of calls/emails to get through from customers contacting them cos their order is 4 days late. Add shipping delays of covud, and huge increase in online orders, with same amount of staff, and...you get this.
  15. That's our GTSBoy, doesn't just think outside the box; he cuts the box in half and puts a flange on it. Ideal way to go. For a real oem look, you could even weld on some brackets to the dump and bolt the stock heatshield to it....possibly.
  16. One piece jjr bellmouth dump perhaps? Nice n easy
  17. Any hi tensile m12 (?) Bolt will do for interim, but i would replace with an oem nissan bolt and nut.
  18. Small air leak somewhere, eg a vac hose left unconnected?
  19. Wut? ..you're not including mechanicals i'm assuming.
  20. Was the kit from K Sport? As that sounds like the shifty nonsense they try to pull, sending out the wrong parts and expecting you to solve it...rant, etc. A kit made for the car should have everything needed to fit straight on. What brand kit did you get?
  21. I have an ADR compliant one, it came on the car from factory.
  22. Used alot of gktech stuff, no issues worth mentioning. Mostly fairly good with product issues, warranties etc, in my experience, which is close enough; no one is perfect including myself as a customer/user.
  23. Well its made for rb26 not rb20, so yes normal in that regard. I believe ati say you need to shim the other pulleys to get the belt runners in alignment.
