just putting it oot there...you can also just buy an AN4 stainless end and cut to a suitable length, get rid of the excess. Tao just prob does it that way to avoid emails of ' the line supplied is too short!" so makes it plenty long.

HELP! R33 running 'hot' after coolant temp sensor change
hardsteppa replied to neopowered34's topic in General Maintenance
a multimeter is like, 15 bucks? or less off ebay. Less than the sensor anyway. Have you checked the coolant? maybe the refill was fkd up and the car is actually running too hot. -
Red way. Not going between turbo/exh manifold.

Have you tried a new thermostat?

hardsteppa replied to Turbo_avi's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Review? Ok i have spool billet n1 gears. Its still running and pumping oil years on lol. Not much else to say apart from they haven't broken so, seem to be fine. -
Tomei oil restrictors, 1.5mm, have 2 of them. Bought for current engine rebuild but now not needed - 1 still in wrapping, 1 opened, but both brand new/unused. $10 each, will post free if you buy both. 1x Stock exhaust manifold for RB25DET and RB20. In good order, I had it sitting around as a spare but now gone topmount manifold so not needed. Pickup only in Brisbane, bit too big/heavy to post.

Internally gated GT30 turbine housing with a 6-bolt RB25/Skyline dump pipe outlet. Is a hard to find 0.73 a/r size. Was on the Hypergear ATR43 ss2 that I'm still using; is for sale as am now running external wastegate so not needed. Approx 4 months old and in VGC.$120, Pickup in Brisbane or can post at buyers cost (approx $15-20).

Aeroflow piston ring grinder/filer with case, in almost brand new condition. Bought for current engine build; most rings were the right gap, just had to take a fraction off a few of the 2nd rings, so it's literally had less than 2 minutes total use.$75, Pickup in Brisbane or can post at buyers cost.

Full bolt list rb25de r32
hardsteppa replied to karlnr661's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
And why would you; alot of the bolts are "automotive only". I know because i've walked in with some and they've looked at them and said, 'nah mate they're automotive only". Hence my saying, automotive only for some bolts. That concludes my story. -
R32 gtr rear diffuser on r32 gtst sedan
hardsteppa replied to Darkslide88's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Oh and you also might need to extend it at the rear, so it doesnt finish to early, under the bump. Come to think of it, if i had to do it again i'd just make a custom one. -
R32 gtr rear diffuser on r32 gtst sedan
hardsteppa replied to Darkslide88's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I have that same style, on r33 though. Yes you can make it fit, with a bit of work. You will also really want it to extend all the way forward, over rear subframe, till it meets pretty much level with the floorplan, if you expect to be effective that it is. And yes it does catch stones/debris, especially outer-side wheel duct. -
I would love to hear your reasoning behind this, as I'm not sure I follow what you're saying.

I'm wanting to get my RB25 beween 500 & 1000 hp
hardsteppa replied to MrSINNER's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Aim for 501 hp...will meet your goal and will be cheapest/easiest. -
GTS Boy on it...immobiliser issue possibly. Mine does it when key is in the ignition but immobiliser is on; hit the remote button to deactivate, and the relay clicking stops.

picked everything up from the engine shop the other week. All good; the only thing they had to do for the rods was a slight hone of small ends to match the new piston pins. Asked their tech for his opinion on the rods, any concerns or issues and he gave them the ok, said will be more than fine for the planned power level. So pretty happy with that alright. Rods and RossIsBoss pistons ready to go>

Removing Starter Motor
hardsteppa replied to Reese69's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Replace the top bolt with a stud and nut...makes it much easier. -
Thst looks like a black nylon compressor wheel, and compressor housing doesn't appear machined out. And no damn fool in their right mind would rebuild a turbo and machine out the exhaust side, leaving that in there.
