  1. Thats a good effort then! The old engine was horrible! lol
  2. You've got a Soarer, right?
  3. What turbo is that Benny?
  4. Funny you say that. Took a solid 10 to 15 mins for my lifters to bleed through too after we rebuilt the engine. I too was awaiting a failure of some sort...... I wore eye protection they were so loud! haha
  5. Super cool, but does highlight just how perfect the F1 was I reckon. Despite that, can you actually imagine living the life of one of these guys that races these things for a living.......
  6. Scott, we changed it every day at Targa, just to be safe. We got very wary of it because it started to garble once the battery started to go weak. Even with fresh batteries (yes, purchesed from different shops so surely not all old!) sometimes we would only get to mid afternoon before having an issue. Bloody dangerous if you're still trying to push while YELLING notes. Not cool.
  7. If you get a Stilo don't make the mistake and think it's failed because if you plug your helmet in to test it you don't hear that little bit of feedback as the plug goes home..... you need two helmets plugged in. I bought a new one for no reason at all, and the local electronic repair guy completely ruined the original trying to find a fault with it. haha *** FWIW, I ran the Peltor earpieces/microphone with an adaptor in conjunction with Stilo intercoms for ages, worked fine. Still have that setup actually if anyone's needing?
  8. +1 for Stilo. Terraphone is archaic and noisy, Peltor better but battery life is rotten. Get about a dozen days in the car out of a Stilo 9V battery. I have the WRC version with Mic input, but don't use it as strategic external microphone gives a nice balance of co-driver voice and the smooth wail of RB20 goodness
  9. I'm on the hunt for a good 34R shell up here and may be in luck with a roller. PM a brother....
  10. Don't let the knockers tell you otherwise, R34 GTR's are good things. More of an object of desire than a top level performer these days, but yes, certainly a thing of beauty to have in the garage. Whether they're worth double the value of an equally nice R32 GTR, is up to the individual. I say yes But, don't buy one to track, waste of a good car, and not fast in outright terms without massive mods. Buy one for nice Sundays, or just to look at while enjoying a beer on a Friday afternoon Just don't buy a dog.
  11. Well that's at least some good news! Does it actually need re-shelling or would repairing it and front-cut be more effective? Bit hard to tell from my cell phone.
  12. That's awesome !
  13. Ouch! Quite an impact! Did cams slap a sticker on it or is the cage ok?
  14. Based on me not be retarded and actually knowing what I'm f**king talking about. Champ.
  15. Looks like he ran over a scuba diver Gold lol
  16. Yes because your mate Hamilton was trying a ridiculous move. I'll say it again, Massa HAD to turn into the corner or he was going off..... he was in front and completely entitled to turn in.
  17. Driving them is much more fun than building them mate
  18. Do not lose focus on Near Life Experience 2012..........
  19. Well I reckon you gave that a pretty decent crack mate! I'm far from an EC expert, but I reckon Turn 2 was kind of sucking you into a slightly early turn in, would you agree? I've driven a few Evos, and they all benefit from left foot braking techniques (loading part throttle boost against brake pressure) mid to exit of the corner...... maybe try mastering that. Helluva car you have there Good work!
  20. I stoked that you're staying positive Paul and Kat...... also stoked that now you've sampled it, you just can't walk away. Fun isn't it!
  21. I'm very very pleased it appears they're both ok. And yes, YT and Big John, bloody awesome! Big John told YT not to stop, get to the top and worry about it then he reckoned! Lol
  22. The girls finished well without incident! Nice work ladies
