  1. haha, Crunch is ok mate. We finally found a new tie rod end yesterday, bashed the panels kind of back into GTR shape, wheel aligned, swapped his tyres off the smashed Enkeis onto my 34 rims, and he's back out at Lakeside now. I'm planning on heading out once I've done some work that can't be avoided. Supposed to be a full day but QR has stuffed it up and not starting until 12 now. Radcams are tough. I had it suction cupped to the left quarter panel, it got crunched into the armco, but survived with only a few grazes
  2. Gosh, I've had that song in my bloody head for an hour now! I'm going looking for Family Guy and "Bird bird, bird is the word!" to try and get rid of it
  3. All very good, but unfortunately, no matter how cool driving like that would be, at Aussie Tarmac events, tyre use rules don't permit it.
  4. There ya go! I'm not insane! Ok, maybe a little.....
  5. I've never understood settings using cold pressures..... every car treats them and heats them differently. Hot is where it's at
  6. Yeah I did that Kermit. And Baron, was it inverted? I'm getting quite old now but I didn't think my memory was that bad?
  7. If you're looking for good footage for your sponsors, I can recommend a fence and field to plough through..... Most accidents these cars are in are merely flesh wounds, and people who race these events rarely skimp on repair quality, like for instance, road car repairs are done.
  8. LOL, sorry to keep you in suspenders for so long before replying! Hope it didn't wreck you day! From what I saw it's absolutely nothing to be worried about, it kind of just "plopped" onto a spectator's car when she gently understeered off over a steep drop. The Falcom luckily broke the fall I reckon! It would have driven away if it could have just been able to reverse off it. Damage would have been negligible.
  9. Yeah mate, I know the car well The last time I saw her I think she was parked on the roof of a Falcon on the right hander at spectator point on Rhianna stage? lol
  10. G'day Chris and welcome to our little corner of the world mate. Have you recently purchased Kermit?
  11. RB exhaust noise is much nicer than sucking and blow offs....... Stock box ftw for me.
  12. I'd reckon there'd be a few crews willing to help you out Roy wink wink
  13. Agree with both of you.... For the record I was referring to how I enjoy seeing them squirm when quizzed what they've changed ........ and in turn how it relates to the original car. I know it's all within the rules, but its still faintly ridiculous in my opinion. As is the cost of building a competitive classic car. I revel in replying to their same question, and tell the truth when saying it's got 2nd hand shocks and a total of four bushes. Lol That's why I think you'd be mad to begin an rx7 build without preparing to spend mega mega crazy dollars.
  14. Great shots, thanks for taking and uploading mate!
  15. Double post COCK!
  16. Yeah would be cool to be running this year but not to be..... Should be fun, Coop's thing is basically a carbon copy of Giant's R32, so it's quick! I was taken aback when he gave it the herbs for the first time during happy laps at QR on Saturday, forgotten how quick a fast one is!
  17. Most of the work done is secret squirell stuff Richard, no one talks about it. It's borderline comical how cagey some people are. lol
  18. Excellent, I hope its a nice dry weekend
  19. *** not laughing at you Duncan, but at pissy Chris
  20. Steer he definitely can. And don't get me started on the "switched off" ABS bullshit lolol.
  21. That age classic is allowed a LOT of mods. It'd be easier if they just let then run re-bodied Gt3's with 4 litte stroker engines. How many 70's Porsches have ABS from factory? Traction control? Carbon bits? The Porsches are on a completely different league performance wise to the early Datsuns, as the times reflect.
  22. And they were using Weeks' Lambo race car for Zero car duties, and the engine blew earlier.....
