  1. No surprises really. It's drag racing with a few corners thrown in. Massively benefits the Gtrs with their seamless acceleration from their auto gearboxes.
  2. Very timely. I've just re-arranged my workshop last night in fact, I'm quite sure I can find a few car spaces for you Bris
  3. It's not weird, I'm the same I'm guessing you're a mid 70's baby too. haha
  4. Nawwwww, my heart bleeds. Welcome to reality ya Ginga Ninja
  5. Iz Nyyce!
  6. Ahhhh Tenga. back soon, gotta race home for "lunch"
  7. Yep. In Oz.
  8. Probably a melted or blocked cat.
  9. i love it Roy, you know that mate. I can't wait to have a good look over it, I know it's a lovely example. I'll even lend a hand to try and fix it so we can take it for a drive!
  10. Shut up Euro-trash If I ever see one being driven like God intended it may change my mind. Until then.............. they're dead to me
  11. I've crawled over a couple of Porsche Carrera GT's, even passed one a few dozen times at a track day. Whilst the things sound fantastic at high rpm, I really couldn't get too excited over it otherwise. Maybe is my inherent dislike for all convertibles, maybe it's because they're just so "clinical", maybe it's just the so-so styling, I'm not sure. But I do know there's a bazzillion cars I'd like to own before one. And yeah, all left hand drive, so until they're 30 years plus, no deal.
  12. lol @ "dirty old 34"
  13. With all due respect, the rules have been like that for years and happily accomodating GTR's for years too. If you're concerned about the cost of a fresh engine and or oil pump for an event such as Targa, well, I'm a little flumoxed. A few grand spent up front to hopefully ensure you actually finish what is an endurance event that WILL cost you 15 grand minimum before you scratch it or renew the car to it's former pre-Targa state (tyres, pads, bearings etc..... ) To take short cuts on reliability is a little wierd. EDIT: I just properly read your latest post and its clearer where you're coming from. My post above was more in reply to your earlier post about external pumps. I understand your concern about the pump, but as i say, hundreds have done it and lasted no worries previously. And I maintain that you'd be mad going into targa with an original R32 engine.
  14. i still chortle when I read your last sentence Roy
  15. ******* to clarify, dry sump ok for MS, not you Gtr guys.
  16. For early modern the way I read it is dry dumps are ok.
  17. reckon! Would be even beter if the promo girls were walking around with giveaways and doing the odd demo for the boys
  18. Nice catch on the spelling mistake Baron When I said tell me what you think of the text I was referring to the warning section re explosive gases. I don't think it's a fraud battery, it's of high quality manufacture and is still going strong, despite being mounted to my diesel high pressure water sprayer and subjected to appalling vibration for weeks at a time while the sprayer and I were out cleaning up after the Queensland floods. I nicked it out of the 34 before I sold it and it's now mounted in the 32 race car, but I've decided (for now at least) to keep it up the front. By the time a box and all the associated extra cable etc is installed for a boot or cabin mounted battery I think the weight difference will be negligable. I'm also concerned about voltage drop over longer cable runs..... last thing I need it to not be able to start a stage because the battery won't start it because the cable run is too long and the starter is heat soaked. I've seen it before and it'd be a terrible way to lose an event..... I can find many much better ways to lose
  19. I concurr....... no thanks.
  20. LMFAO.... I just laughed until wee came out. We met Eric from Cosworth and Team Sierra Sierra at the bar on Thursday evening and were explaining to him the virtues of a certain "tool". He's obviously taken aboard our fondness of it and has suggested there might be some kind of sponsorship brewing for Berry's team!?!?! Take a read of the link, the sponsor is alluded to on page three I think it is..... within the blurb on Mark's R34. http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/articletype/articleview/articleid/2087/10-fastest-cars-of-the-world-time-attack-challenge-pro-class.aspx it's GOLD!
  21. Spa is the shit..... always has been.
