  1. G'day Nick, let's not worry about gauges let's talk about your GT3 ok .... But seriously, I don't know if I'd suggest these gauges. Where they will be mounted is a long way from your line of sight.... therefore realistically you'll seldom look at them.
  2. I think a couple of you might be being just a tad unfair? I remember Senna very clearly for his ability behind the wheel, but because I'm not a simpleton, I also remember how frighteningly ruthless he was. In fact when trying to explain the man to the little woman last night, I used words such as; arrogant, self important, and egotistical. fark.... am I Ayrton Senna?!?!?!
  3. Do you really though? Whilst the C63 is no doubt a better/easier car to live with on a daily basis, the 35 simply blows it away performance and handling wise. In fact, I'm not sure if I've ever actually driven a performance car with less mechanical grip than a C63. Have you driven one?
  4. Ok ok, you win. I know nothing about cars. Good chat though!
  5. Has someone photoshopped some hair onto her noggin!!!!! Thank God for that, she FREAKED me out! haha
  6. Did you go to Superlap?
  7. I use them because I race my car in different events all the time and I need to use different wheel/tyre sizes. Using spacers intelligently (yes, I struggle!) can make your car actually faster around corners
  8. Haha it sound like you're living in some kind of parallel universe where everything is reversed!
  9. Lol, I don't see any rule changes? Mr Baker is of strong character, and isn't about to be swayed by a simple discussion on a Skyline forum Im sure he'll make change if he believes it could improve the event
  10. Which one has the stronger driveline? I assume autos are the pic? And yes, just bang a 4.11 r32/33 diff into it. Easy
  11. I know how busy you are mate, so, if you need a hand.... I'm only across the road from Dave's (Comp Fab)
  12. I'm drooling with anticipation re what one of these has in store for us on your "other" car Steve
  13. Using Data dot with info allocated to the particular entrant is the go (as done at Targa in years past), rather than simply white pen marking. We all know how easy it is for a cheat to replicate a car number on a tyre in white pen. FWIW, upon return from Tsukuba, "we" were convinced that the Japanese guys had special tyres, because they were Rupert after only a lap or two..... but have since discovered it's how they're used, as previously discussed.
  14. Harry doesn't like them because he crashed on them..... hey Harry
  15. Well, the winner, Cyber, hadn't even seen the new 295 Advan prior to their arrival in Australia, in fact they were busy cutting the car up to make them fit when we arrived! lol Cyber got their tyres out of the same bin we did. All stocks of Advan 295's came directly to Australia, not available in Japan.
  16. The compressor wheel is superb quality...... I think i could do better with a butter knife. Serves wanker right for putting this garbage on thier cars.
  17. I'm super keen to see the result for a 9180 on a 26..... I think it will be pretty cool judging by what we saw on the 26/30, and the plumbing alleviates much of the drama that is RB26.
  18. Really, you know for certain? I'm intrigued!
  19. I think people would alter setup until they thought they had it fastest on the Friday with their first tyre set, then first or second session on Saturday morning, BAM, smash out their best time.... then use the remaining sessions to burn the tyres up with crowd pleaser skids That's what I'd do anyway.... hypothetically, IF I could somehow afford two sets of tyres!
  20. At the risk of looking like a video whore, here is some Radcam footage. I normally place a little microphone sock over the supplied Radcam microphone to tone down any wind buffet, but for this day I'd forgotten to romove it from my own car (I borrowed this Evo). Still, gives you a good idea of the quality available straight out of the box. YouTube still dumbs down the quality a bit, but if you select 1080 its quite good.
  21. I hated my Go-Pro HD so much I quite literally threw it in the wheelie bin. The sound quality is appalling.
  22. IMO, spend a little extra and get something really good. http://www.racerecall.com/radcam-hdpro-kit-with-free-4gb-sd-card-p-16.html Superb picture AND sound..... can't be said for some of the options above.
  23. That idea definately has merit.
  24. No I don't own one, but I've done plenty of miles in them, and yes, people do definately take note, but I maintain they're not a jaw dropper like a Lambo. (who mentioned Porsche?) That's just my experience. Yours is obviously different.
