  1. You need to head up to sunny Qld for a weekend once summer begins to roll in mate, so we can hatch a plan over a few brews
  2. Get the XR6T. But, don't expect to be able to thrash it too hard at the track and expect to drive it home evry time. You cannot expect that of any car. You may need a brake upgrade, or if you find one with premium brakes, at least a pad upgrade.
  3. Thanks Marty! One must wonder how the figure of 130 started to circulate!? I'll endeavour to head over for a proper gander on the open day
  4. hektic strong? seriously though, have they have any serious testing? Lots of aftermarket ones break, and it's a horrible way to retire from an event. Assuming you urvive the accident.
  5. Hmmmm, I've not seen that reaction to a 35 anywhere I've been? Great cars, but a car to make people stand up and stare or create a crowd? I don't think so.
  6. Are these strong? Like concrete?
  7. Mark clarified elsewhere that transponders were fluffed about Harry. Mark did a 36 from memory, still nothing to sneeze at, and I bet he's looking forward to spending more time in it and getting his head around downforce....... not a natural feeling I guess!
  8. Indeed John, superb lap and the car and jb look super smooth. The car really does look well sorted, a credit to you.
  9. See you up here
  10. Those two events are still in the plan, Stan I haven't spent up big on tarmac rally suspension for nothin mate!
  11. They've opened it to Early Modern, and yeah, a 6.5 would be perfect (2002) I'm still out though. This year I'm just going to do Drive Bathurst and waste the rest of the Motorsport budget next year on a planned overseas motorsport jaunt. (all my plans could change completely within the next 5 minutes though! haha)
  12. The tyres that the "big boys" are using are exactly what you and I can buy off the shelf. They're not specials, or super-duper softs, they just used in a way that makes them wear very quickly, ie, no running in, heat cycling, or love. They're simply fitted, lightly warmed, pressures corrected, then raped. One, maybe two laps, and they're past their best.
  13. re the HKS CT230, I'd be keen to know just how much of the "go-fast" goodies have been removed from it? I'm not sure if you guys would even be privvy to that info? I had a brief look over the car in Sydney, and didn't see much super special about it? I hear the car is for sale for $130k, and I guess I'm wondering if the fast parts come in a seperate box? Or was it simply one of those "freak" cars that is quick without trying to hard?
  14. Hey Craig, are you up this weekend? Are you bringing anything for me to drive?
  15. It would be awesome! And Harry, that car was originally going to be Marray's new gravel rally car, but he got a little excited about this Time Attack thing and it kind of changed course. haha
  16. ohhh me too! The line is very blurry for me between what consitutes a Pro Class and vice versa.
  17. I think Ian invited everyone Noel, but getting them to actually turn up is the hardest part.
  18. That thing is wicked Harry, and probably the car I'd most like to own for myself I like a car that, if you pulled the stickers off, it's feasable that you could drive it across the Sydney Harbour Brisge without being taken to jail.
  19. Who is Jamie Coote? It's Murray's car, Josh is his son, and they had the young Kiwi fella Earl Bamber driving, who, by all accounts is the next big thing if given half a chance and super easy to get along with and mega quick.
  20. True Richard, he cops it like a true man now and has ceased the incessent whimpering. Although why you feel the need to air private discussions I have no idea.... only 10 minutes ago I was singing your praises to Fineline via PM and in fact trying to explain why it is that you'd prefer to not get your soft white delicate child like hands dirty around the pit garage..... fact is, you don't want to risk getting grease on your long skinny white french Lady Penelope cigarettes. Anyway, yes, defs keep the drifters at night time. And yes, I know everyone wants to see cars, especially the faster cars, on track a LOT more, but before that can happen, firstly many of the cars need to become able to actually complete multiple laps without shiting themselves, and someone needs to find out how to make the tyres fast over more laps....... that's why other series use slicks
  21. As speed doubles, the amount of power required quadruples. That is a fact. So, if it needs 50KW to do 100klm/h (close to realistic), it will need 200KW for 200klm/h. So, for 400 klm/h it would need 800KW. Of course this is assuming that the gearing could accomodate it and that the car didn't literally fly apart or take off..... both scenarios are extremely likely. I'll leave you with that kids.
  22. four hundred and thirty seven.... and don't fark with me you little kent I will open you up FARK!!!!! Yeah, doin it easy, not angry at all!
  23. HAHAHA, "the sphincter of the universe" = tur-key
  24. haha, I'm only having a crack at you mate, I'm two weeks off them, cold the sphincter of the universe, so even seeing one is hard work for me Plus, Baron put me up to it, he's still smarting over your comments on page prior and I didn't hear you mate, truth. Sorry!
  25. And what does your sister look like?
