  1. Sounds to me like a warped head. Did you check it? The coolant spray won't be from the compressor side, it will have come from your radiator or overflow and simply sprayed around by the wind. If water is introduced into the turbo via any way, whether that be a leaking gasket, cracked head, or whatever, it can very quickly bugger your turbo. White hot exhaust wheels do not like cool (by comparison) water.
  2. Haha, that is So true!
  3. Bit of wet to make it interesting!
  4. The 32 GTR replica wing.... I assume it's fibreglass and light? And cracks? Can you show a pic of the light that's in it please? PM me your bottom dollar on that item mate?
  5. Ok great. Thanks. Do you know if it was always this way, or has some gear been removed? Any previous accident history?
  6. Well, Big del just delivered my two screens in person to Brisbane from Sydney. Looks like the little S-Cargo may have a dodgy big end though! The screens look the business.
  7. Ummmmm, where did the other, very similar, thread go?
  8. Someone's been watching Ice Road Truckers! ! ! !
  9. I live on the other side of town but there will be a lot of roadworthy guys to chose from, even mobile ones. Usually 80 to 100 bucks mate. Best of luck with it all. Pm me if you need any advice ok
  10. I use Ceva to transport my race car around Oz. They're quite trustworthy and slightly more capable of handling sporty cars it seems. When you get them to Qld, you need a mechanic to inspect and give you a "raodworthy certificate", which you then take, along with the vehicle, to Qld Transport dept (offices everywhere), pays your money, have them confirm the numbers, and issue you with plates. They then post a label.

    Closing Down?

Yeah I don't know why anyone would import specifically these days, the market is flooded here, heaps to chose from, and plenty of people in a world of hurt so if you have some cash, good buys can be had You wouldn't believe me if I told you what I paid for a gorgeous 99 V-Spec last year
  12. Hey hey don't be J
  13. Sorry if I've missed it in the list, but does it have any aftermarket management or turbos, or is it still factory?
  14. Ahhhh Wilfred. He's got the life
  15. Hahaha, sweet! Sounds like the Cummins diesels in my boat (revs a bit harder though )
  16. I was referring to a test open day @ EC on Wednesday or Thursday? Like last year.
  17. True, Broaching the subject can be a little difficult though I've found. lol
  18. This is on a whole different level to where many of us sit, but I've also heard of sponsorship from larger corporations going like this; Large corporation sponsors a race team for say, $100k. The CEO of the corporation ok's the sposorship deal and it goes through the corps books as a legit cost of doing business/advertising. Race team accepts the $100k and kicks back a portion (say, $20k in cash) to the CEO, who loves it, because it's tax free, and the tax man (or the board for that matter!) never needs to know. Sinister buggers.
  19. Schweet! If a few of us click the google link it'll make it to the top
  20. Is there an open practice on Wednesday mate?
  21. i don't know what PD means... I'm uneducated. haha There is no harm in trying to do deals with people you meet along the way. I've struck up great little agreements with several Aussie companies. Hell, I'm using their products anyway because I like them, so if they can help me out, and I can send a few new people their way, then it's all good right
  22. Maybe I'm a defeatist, but I reckon the amount of time and energy you'd need to spend to obtain a corporate type sponsor of any real value would be better spent simply earning more money or furthering your ability to earn money going forward. Your money earning ability will still be current long after the sponsor has gone. If you decide to chase a sponsor, and you managed to get a reasonable one, you then have the worry of keeping them, and ensuring that somehow, regardless of your results, that they continue to get value from their dollars.
  23. "Matt Close in the Audi TTRS at Targa Tasmania" definately had a severe case of "Understeer of fail" there...... (I'm only saying that because I know he Googles him name often and will see this. Won't ya Captain Fathom )
