  1. OZR32's paint "looks" much more authentic for an Oz delivered one to me..... maybe 151HHZ has had a respray? ** images on a computer screen are notoriously difficult to take as gospel though
  2. it does work, but on my much lower powered car I elected just to remove the rubber seal rather than lifting the rear of the bonnet itself.
  3. Sure, but it's not difficult to match that downforce with a 4 inch splitter on the front, which is simply creating a high pressure zone in front of the front bar. I assume Russ is adding a splitter given it is so easy, (along with a decent undertray to minimise front lift). The rear wing is typically actually only going some way toward negating the lift generated by a sedan shaped car (low pressure area around the base of rear screen). That's my take on it anyway, and of course I'm not an aerodynamicist, but I read a lot.
  4. What Baron has already said Russ, it's very important, and honestly, without it, it's an oranment. A small 20mm gurney will massively increase the downforce, and really, creates bugger all drag, because all is it doing is creating a high pressure zone on the top 20 to 40mm of the wing's surface, pushing it down. Without it, all you have is a blade running through the air, and when you increase the angle of attack, you are creating as much horizontal drag as you are downforce. Very inefficient.
  5. Good news indeed, Tony being a mad motorsporter and a funny bugger to boot will mean good things going forward I think!
  6. Wish I could help you Ollie, but I can't mate, I prefer to keep mine soft. Surely a subframe guru will step in sooner or later!?
  7. Put a gurney flap on it Russ......
  8. That made me chortle Richard.... so much so in fact that I had to share it. Link here; http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=lf#!/photo.php?fbid=10150219495772566&set=a.10150154595857566.307546.761927565&type=1&theater
  9. Even I coulda told you the V8SC is a different box...... shame on you Baron!
  10. Sell what you have and buy a Hollinger. You'll be a happier man in the long term.
  11. I've driven them all and in Stock form the S15 is an easy winner. Handling is not all about suspension design, but of weight balance, diff setup, and braking balance, even the way an engine responds to throttle effects handling balance. The S15 is a big step forward over the S14 in stock form. The 14 was a bit of a jellyfish. Keep in mind that even the "best handling" car in the world will be a dog if the wheel alignment is bad or the tyres are rubbish.
  12. Have you checked your cam timing? Belt stretched? Belt skipped? Vct working?
  13. You're showing your age Richard you silly old KENT.
  14. Taking up space... surely someone wants it? Would look cool on a GT-t!!!!!
  15. Yeah I never had issues with the 34 N1's, and it was always good for a good clutch kick
  16. Once again Timmy keeps me on the straight an narrow
  17. Yep, and changed turbos every time you looked at it due to wear.
  18. Completely agree Snowy. You'll remember the Dutton I was at with you, I ran the White 34 around Sandown in a 1:20.1 from memory, and I'd never seen the track and did four laps. I think a reasonably fast Tugga car is pretty fast anywhere, even my dirty 32 is one of the faster cars of it's ilk around Lakeside.
  19. Yeah I'd tend to agree. I also believe that if a car can last Targa, it can last just about anywhere if driven sensibly.
  20. Bathurst isn't a sustained high revs track, and I would tend to do only say five laps at a time rather than go round and round and bloody round, that's what will kill it.
  21. Low 20's yeah easy i reckon.
