  1. holy thread revival batman! ok so maybe it isnt that much of a revival but i got around to pressing the export button and then the upload button
  2. wow... this is nuts... even better thing is I havn't stopped laughing at all the replies... I've got a 2 seat couch I can donate its in good condition... I dont think I can get it there though sadly strapping it to the roof isnt a viable option on my car...
  3. here are some I did for mates band again
  4. lol sean! Toys R Us! nice!! I also have the pleasure of viewing that 34 everyday on my walk to work.... makes me happy
  5. what is this "might come" business? DO IIIITTTTTTT
  6. roof down.... camera out... MG is ready to rock...
  7. true... I havn't done alot of low light stuff with my d700 using no flash. I did find the iso does start to show up in that type of lighting situation at iso 800 onwards but in saying that its only evident when viewing the image at 100%. The good thing is you can play with the noise reduction in post process and reduce it a bit.. I'm still learning more about my camera everyday which is good now I just need to focus on a particular type of photography and get good at it...
  8. some more I took on Saturday night 2 of the 800 photos that is... haha I got some awesome shots from that night... the lighting setup was pretty good used my Nikon D700 50mm f1.8 no flash iso between 800 - 1250 shutterspeed hovering around 80 most shots were done between 1.8 to 2.5 but some of them I managed to bump up to about 3.5 - 4 as I was looking directly into to the lights
  9. WOW 12 turbos... that's nuts!!! but yes if your ISO is high (usually more then 3200 correct me if im wrong) depending on the camera noise will show up invest in a flash or low light lenses and you'll be sweet
  10. holy SHEEET ... those things are epic!!! should have some of them bad boys up where the floods were in QLD lol epic clean up machines... haha but seriously that last one runs off electricity!?!?! is that the big ass cable running from the back of it to the power point??? Here is my find of the day... a model car almost exactly like mine except I dont have the VVC engine and the colour of mine is "maroon" "purple" aka Morello (actual colour name)
  11. repost much lol...
  12. right at the edge of the screen? that's an easy fix if that's what you mean
  13. So it was a pretty awesome sunset over the blue mountains did anyone capture anything? More to that though it is a new month so enjoy
  14. I have a pic of that 33 with the stripe down the side... but I wasn't feeling the vibes for photos on the cruise... need to look at more car mags and get an idea of what they do
  15. fail.... didnt work bro but maroon 33... couldn't of been many of them haha
  16. what one is yours... :S got a pic i can see? I might have one
  17. well I only had the one memory card because my other one was in melbourne in my other camera body with my sister so shooting in RAW wasn't going to be optimal as I didn't know how many photos I was going to take I know enough to get me by haha I just need to get in and process about 200 photos from my cousins wedding >.>
  18. I have heaps to go through man I just liked that one and yes I bumped up the contrast. I'm still learning techniques and settings with that type of lens so don't expect super pro stuff Matty had the right idea with the polariser on his camera (which I couldn't do)
  19. oh yeah I got some more gime a few mins ahah
  20. So this is the first time I've used this 14 - 24mm lens and it made life hard with no filters (polarisers and ND filters) but here are a few out of the 660... Lotus ExigeS Trying to work out how Sloane powers his car... nuclear reactor? (jks I was messing around in photoshop) ZZZOOOOOMMM Owens finally overtakes Sean and I after sticking to our behind like a bad smell...[just noticed all the dust spots on the image... need more spot removals.. /sigh] I... got nothing for this one ... "whhaaaddduuuuppp" -booost-
  21. You're right about that... but using the 18 - 55mm DX lens on an FX camera... The next step I think will be to get a remote trigger release for the camera so I can do the bulb setting... Having that orange light there didnt help with painting the cars as it created its own ghosting of us and sloanes car being silver reflected light away from the camera as opposed to the white cars So got any tips on painting silver cars? aside from brighter light? Yes that is kurrjong look out... some dude pulled up in a stock S15 with a chick in the car... (P plater too) I think we ruined their night for about 2 hours!
  22. yes with a lens that is suited to the camera also another quick throw together...
  23. sad thing is there was no diffuser on that light just a car sunshade thing to stop the camera picking up the trails... For what I know I could have messed up with the white balance adjustment aswell or the metering... Im pretty keen to get out there and do it again... but take with me something to piss the orange light off with haha cheers for the tip though Might have to borrow my mates 14-2X mm lens Also props to GTRSEAN for helping with the light painting I painted in the lights and he did the cars was a bit of fun and experimenting
