hi guys not sure if this is the right place to post tech issues on stageas and if it isnt could you please direct me but the problem i have is my poor stag (97' S1 AUTO) and started "lurching" when i get into 5th gear usually on the freeway but when i give it a little more gas and it drops down a gear it runs fine again. its almost like a rocking movement as if the gears arent quite biting properly, and slowing do to come up to intersections or round-abouts she'll sometimes stall/turn off... also when i do a full steer lock and reverse, i get a kind of faint knocking sound from the rear somewhere and its a lot louder if the snow / 4WD button is on...does this sound like my tranny is about to give up the ghost?-any advice would be a big help ay-cheers!

hi guys-ive got an auto 25det in a 97 stagea, and was wondering if its possible to top up the auto tranny box fluid without having to get underneath?-i remember on my old maxima there was a seperate dipstick hole for the auto box and i was able to pour some down there-is there somewhere like this for the 25det auto boxes?-cheers.

awesome-thanks for the heads up, my mate just said get r33 ones aswell but i was scratching my head thinking the spring rates in the rear would be messed up specially when it came time to actually using the "wagon-ness" of the vehicle, aka-stick heaps of shit in the boot.

thanks mate-took a pic of the rear right just in case to confirm...lucky i did too coz i only just noticed my front right CV boot is cracked-gutted-probably change it when i go to replace the suspension.

yup, it will be a bit hard for you being 21 n all.youre smack bang in the middle of their so called "hoon age group". being 27 / married helps me big time.

nah mate-apparently none of the S1 RS4's came out in a manual option... dont quote me on that though-its only what ive heard. which i think is the reason why jason was re-iterrating to me how hard it was for him to find a manual centre console from japan for it...will be loking @ a manual conversion further down the track though since i have the console part sorted already.

jeez-let me know when you stumble across one that cheap again mate...anyways i was reading chuckies initial post on shockies which then had me thinking that for my own 1st mod on the RS4 id like to go the way of coil-overs. but then i noticed him mentioning "eye" and "fork" type suspension. well, all i can say about jason is that he loves to talk-lol real nice guy though...and youre right mate-he was kind enough to throw in the manual centre console he imported from japan for free-(he was quite particular on how hard they are to find too)... so yeah, when i manage to scrape together the cash to buy a r33 zilla box-(sounds very daunting)-ill probably just flick my auto one over to ya

hi guys...just swapped my r33 gtst for a silver 97' RS4 on CR-Kai's from a bloke named Jason-he mentioned he knows a few people in the stagea scene so i thought id say hi and am looking forward to poking around in this section a bit more, especially since i know diddly squat bout stags...flicked the r33 as my little brood is growing and it really was a no-brainer as to choosing a better family banger than this.-cheers.

im in the process of sticking mine in too and just like that other guy said my afm pin is missing too...i "THINK" i own a r33 series 1.5...(series 1 exterior, series 2 interior, passenger side aribag, starter unit on ECU???) ill ive it a stab in the dark and post back if i get it going or not.

hey guys-i looked through the first 70/80 pages in this part of the forums and couldnt find anything about it so thought id ask here...own a '95 S2 r33 gtst and was just wondering if anyone has put in spacers/washers of some sort to raise the rear of their bonnet to help with venting radiant heat off the top of the engine. im looking to raise the rear by only about 10mm. and if you have-what did you find fit best?-ill probably go perving around bunnings / clark rubber in the mean time to find a result myself and if no ones come up with anything ill add what ive found myself...cheers.

ive got a 95' S2 r33 gtst-ive only ever know the colour as "charcoal"...is this really "dark grey" or "KN6" according to the list?

dam, i only just noticed at the end of reading this that he has a return flow FMIC- this installation wouldnt work on my setup-(crappy cross-engine FMIC)

as you can see ive got the left leg one off no problem but i cant see any screw holes for the right leg, have you attempted taking this one off yourself?-it looks like it might be stuck there with just an adhesive so im not sure if i want to just rip it off fearing it might take some of the panel with it-i cant see myself getting used to it any time soon so would like to get it off...im hoping it has reverse screws that i can see if i take the whole door panel off otherwise-RIIIIIPPPPPP!!!

hi guys, its my 1st post so sorry if this looks a lil rough around the edges... Over the weekend i just became the proud owner of a very straight and tidy manual '95 R33 gts25t series II SEDAN with next to no mods apart from an apexi filter, 3" cat back zorst, and coilovers on 18's. bought it for 10G's which i know is a bit pricey i spoze but the fact that it has only done a tad over 60,000 on the clock made me justfiy the spend... but wihout digressing too much, i noticed only today that in the drivers area are these 2 "LEG PAD thingys" that the outside of my knees are always resting on...1 is on the drivers door located just above the speaker, and the other is bolted to the center console at about the same height as the head-deck... i have seen a few R33's (mainly coupes) but none of them have had these... so i guess my question is-what are they, and what is their use? im not a small guy by any measure so theyre sorta annoying as i feel a bit squashed-ive pulled one of them off to see if they were stuck there by someone other than the factory but sure enough, when i looked @ the back they had nissan stamped all over them. i rang the guy i bought it off and he said he had no idea but he did state that when he brought it over from japan, the car cost him a little extra compared to other R33's because apparently it had nearly every extra factory mod that was available for this model...from ABS brakes to a FLARE GUN (no bull-it sits under the glove box still)-maybe those were just an added accessory?-dunno-thoughts anyone? ill post some pics ASAP as im @ work at the moment and will get around to it the moment i get home... cheers peeps... PS: looking for West Aussie skyline sedan owners to hook up with, as everywhere i look so far is 2door 2dr 2d......-cheers.
