  1. are you on crack? any mechanic ive ever worked with will say if you want a reliable car buy a nissan or a toyota. cheap parts and easy to work on. how can you call something that happens 13years down the track a manufacturing error? no car ever will take 13yrs of abuse and never need a part replacing. now my origninal question to sturb25, are that front swaybar links stagea specific or R33GTR items? ive searched high and low and all the pics ive seen of aftermarket R33GTR links look too short in comparison to the stagea
  2. hopefully theres room for an ugly duckling in that group, the coilovers should be in by then so i wont be so embrassed to be seen by other skyline folk
  3. thats what im going for. its a blitz clone so already tried and tested in my eyes.
  4. id say Super flex wagon or super flex wagon SDL (super down low). possibly the SDL's if it wasnt high enough for rego. would be a good buy, tein dealers can rebuild them easily. for those who dont know these will fit C34 RS260's and RS4-S models only
  5. hahahaha im guess thats an EVO aka MIVEC?
  6. TEIN super street coilovers? any idea of the spring rates fitted?
  7. mate had a similar problem with his VN commodore powered rodeo with a B&M. i put the rear on stands, disconnected the shifter and changed the gears at the box and all was fine. needed to adjust the cables at the shifter, obviously ripping on them all day they are going to stretch out of adjustment.
  8. sorry to troll but i hate penrite oils, alot of people i know have suffered from bad oil sludging using this oil and had bad oil supply issues (and spun bearings) because of it . if its your daily and you give it a hard time some of the time maybe use castrol edge sport (unless you wana spend more coin and get motul or royal purple). yeh just my 2 cents, run a flush and change oils. if you wana stick with penrite then buy repco branded oil because its just rebranded penrite (read the small print) but cheaper.
  9. id say that apart from making little difference at the wheels, the only reason i would be changing to to a metal CAT is they are less likely to "meltdown". if a heap of raw fuel is punched down the exhaust and ignites and melts the monolith, then ofcourse going from a pile of melted (blocked) mess to a highflow you will notice a difference. also metal CATs are arent known for cracking up and coming apart like ceramic CATs, including impact damage for those who like their cars low and their CATs eating speedhumps and driveways
  10. spotted a matt grey/ grey primered 4 door R32 at erindale on saturday night
  11. i used TNT to send 4 x 18" rims in 4 boxes from the nissan dealer i used to work at in canberra to another nissan dealer in brisbane. cost me $54!!
  12. the VW beetle is faster than your stagea??? I work at VW and they are slow as hell, the turbo ones aren't too bad but wouldnt come close to a bog stock stagea. doesnt seem right to me
  13. il help be another black on black stealth bomber. especially when i hit my pull in side mirror switch and go from this to this
  14. i had 4 rotors and 4 calipers sent by courier from brisbane to canberra for $135 bucks. maybe sort your own courier?
  15. damn that N/A grille has improved that front end, same with the s2 taillights. 200% improvement in looks. nice bluepoint jack too
  16. wouldnt the front shaft and front diff be extra load?
  17. the series 2 (and apparently some series 1's) have a 14mm hole in the hub, so using R33 GTST calipers they use12mm bolt, so people were making little sleeves outta pipe and whatever else to take up the slack and locate the caliper properly
  18. hooray! hahaha!!! the mechanic in a bottle works again
  19. yeh clearly any 15 year old kid in mums commodore can swing hoops but i just hadnt seen a RWD manual M35 getting stuck into it before
  20. there are numerous threads on here about this very arguement. we dont live in siberia and it doesnt get to minus 20 over night and if you have an engine issue were your temp is higher than normal you will shorten the life of your auto trans. if your worried about it freezing up then mount it behind the radiator. according to extreme offroad 4x4 guys that use auto trans, they use external coolers and i also saw a graph with trans oil temp vs trans life in hours in a mates 4X4 magazine and the hotter the trans oil temp the less life you will get out of the box. read some threads and make up your own mind
  21. some of these videos are mental this M35 is crazy! on a private road ofcourse
  22. heres an older thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/307026-which-radiator-fits/page__hl__alloy+radiator blitz item (doesnt state for MT or auto) http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19995&cat=300&page=1 cooling pro item (for manual trans so will need to run an external trans cooler) http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=16849&cat=300&page=1
  23. 1-if your going to the trouble of doing front lines you might aswell buy a braided brake line kit and do the lot while your there. if you have the hardline then yes R32 and R33 GTR brakeline kits will be fine. the 2 are the same part number line kit with most aftermarket manufacturers 2-no 3-no (correct)
  24. DAMN! shitty spot weld. if you pull it out il MIG it up for ya
