Hi all, Just looking for some R34 4 Door Side Skirts and Rear Pods. I know carmate have them, but i thought i search elsewhere first. Thanks.

To settle once and for all the Victorian law on window tint, i went and discussed it with VICROADS I was told in victoria its not very clear cut, however I was directed to the Vehicle Standards Information; Window Tinting 1 page document. I was told by vicroads that roadworthys do check windows, but the windows that are ahead and to the side of the driver, this means that the rear windows are excluded. I believe someone else mentioned vans and their ability to black out rear windows, vicroads also pointed out the same thing. All in all, i was given the all clear to have darkened rear windows, but just for my own benefit take it to a windows tester and measure the visability. Hope this is able to help anyone else.

That does help, especially since it is factory privacy glass. I do have the exact sticker and my front windows arent tinted they are just normal, yeah 119 isnt my concern, ive learnt i cant put my P plates up on the inside. thanks.

oh damn. In the end i think ill try and seek a review, i have nothing to lose so ill give it a crack and it will give me some more time for cash. thankyou all for your help.

Initially i tried to get it removed, until i was told it is in fact darkened glass.

The Roadworthys include one done only 2 months ago and i wasnt tested, only told too dark. Thankyou to everyone who has posted the tint laws, they have certainly helped!

i understand the incorrect display of the P plate will not be overturned but i am though concerned about proving the legality of the tint. Although i do find it fustrating that the car was in my brothers possession for 3 years before i bought it and he was pulled over for breath tests and never once questioned about the visability of his P plates. I will have to ensure i display my P plates on the outside and retrieve my two roadworthy certificates from first registering in Aus, then handing over into my name from my brothers and see if that can get me anywhere.

Since now i must ask for a review, how would i go about proving its stock? I have no clue as to how i prove that in a letter.

Hi all, I as a Red P-Plater was pulled over and fined for illegal window tint and not displaying my p plates correctly as a result of the window tint. So now im looking at 119 and 299 out of pocket, along with some demerit points, 3 to be exact for something that should have been picked up by the RWC. Shouldnt i have been told prior to registering the vehicle in Australia that my windows were to dark? Am i right in saying that my rear windows on my R34 Sedan are darkened factory glass along with my rear window, so getting that removed will only just kill my bank account? Thoughts?

both of you were right, it was the coils. thank you very much for your help I followed your steps jonboy and managed to solve the problem, i was pretty lucky as i got it right on the second attempt. I have since replaced the coil and all is working as it should! thanks once again

I own a 1998 4 Door R34 and in the past few weeks i have noticed this problem and i have taken it to two mechanics who are unable to solve it Either when i start the car, hot or cold, or even during a drive, the engine drops to 5 cylinders and loses significant power. At times it will go back to normal after a few minutes, others it wont be until i turn the car off and wait for 5-10minutes. I had the taken to two mechanics and both suggested it was a cylinder problem, even happening when they gave the keys back to me, but when they came over and we stuck it into drive it unfortunatley at that time, went back to normal. They told me they cant solve it unless its happening while they are inspecting it. I have been told it could be my coil packs or even wiring.... Does anyone have any possible solutions or experienced the problem?

I think to stick with white, my workmate just swapped to black rims from white on his white r34 and it looks no where near as good.
