Need Help With Boost Controller Hoses
calaistur replied to calaistur's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Got another problem now. After connecting everything up I am not getting 7psi after 4500rpm. I even tried the mod with the solonoid to keep the boost at 7 psi but all I see is 5psi. I am thinking its because I dont have the original hose from the T-piece to the actuator with the restrictor in it. So there is no restriction in the actuator hose to force air through the solonoid hose. Does this sound right?? So I need to make a restrictor and insert it into the hose. Does anyone know what size the restrictor hole is? and what would be a good material to make it from? Cheers, Justin -

Need Help With Boost Controller Hoses
calaistur replied to calaistur's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
After a bit of research and thought I am thinking: A = turbo intake pipe B = wastegate actuator C = nipple from IC return pipe Does this sound right? -
Hi Guys, Need a bit of expert help. I am selling my car and want to return it to stock and I am trying to refit the standard boost controller but not sure where the hoses went to/come from. I have attached a pic of it and marked 3 places where I need to know where the hoses went to. Can anyone please state where A,B and C go to. Cheers, Justin

Hi Guys, Just watching a show on Austar called Tricked Out and they were using a little gadget called a fuse tap. It basically is a double adapter for the fuse box where you can run say lights for your gauges off the headlights or parking lights fuse rather than having to tap into a wire. Has anyone seen these for sale in Oz? Cheers, Justin.

Hi Guys, Cant seem to find anything on this in these forums, so I am asking for some guidance. I am wanting to remove my injectors for a thorough cleaning. Can anyone give me some instructions on exactly how to do this? The basic steps I believe are: Run the car and pull the fuel pump fuse to remove fuel in the system. Remove the throttle body and top half of the plenum to get at the injectors and rail (amongst a bunch of other hoses etc). Remove the rail and injectors. Now the stuff I need guidance on is: Will i need new gasket for the throttle body when it is removed? How are the injectors held in place? Only by the pressure of the rail holding them in? or do they screw in? Do I need new o-rings? How many? Best place to get them? What should I be paying? Are there any traps I should know about? I am happy to do up an instruction sheet with pics and post it here if I go ahead with it. Any help here appreciated. Justin.
