  1. Thats what I thought too......but......thats not what I got. Have to run higher boost (which isnt good...more boost more stess on motor etc..) and turbo starts to spool (round 7psi) at about 3500rpm. Before upgrade, running my standard turbo at 1Bar (round 15psi) i had 176kW at the wheels, getting FULL boost at 3500rpm. I'm not quite sure what goes with normal hi-flowing. I bought the turbo exchange for mine. The new one looked the same externally, but the insides were all machined out to house bigger steel wheels, even machined out the inlet. And of course...all the components were new.
  2. Had my turbo "Hi'Flowed" with steel wheels etc in my R33 gts-t....at 18psi puts 224kW to the ground (with all the usual supporting mods, using standard injectors). Works well for the money, but full boost is at round 4500rpm....bit high for my likeing.....if I could go back I think id spend a bit extra an go for a good second hand Apexi AX53B70 kit and make the same power at less boost (round 15-16psi) which would come in earlier in the rev range. Only had the Hi-flow in for 3 months, still considering selling it an upgrading. My 2 cents
  3. check out www.uniqueautosports.com click on "performance parts" then click on "GTR" then click on "GTR styling" they have both the amber (original) an clear (400R look) ones brand new
  4. sorry to burst your bubble chad but there actually indicators (flashers), not fog lights
  5. Have you had them checked for condition & flow? or have they been cleaned or anything? an are you open to offers or is the price firm?
  6. wouldnt happen to have a set of cheap RB25DET side fed large injectors?
  7. After my recent power upgrades my stock injectors are just on 100% duty cycle as I hit full boost.....this is ok for the time being, but need some larger injectors before i do a few other things. Must be in Good condition / working order, and the cheaper you can let them go for the better. Thanks Berin also half lookin for a carbon bonnet to suit R33 gts-t series 1.
  8. pics to abcent04@hotmail.com .....thanks.... are the inner rim bits blue?
  9. Free Bump for a nice car. Seen this car around.....very clean well presented car!! good luck with the sale
  10. My parents own a 928 S4 competition model with a modded computer and head work done to it, thing flys!! i believe Porsche dont actually make the V8 though....i think its an Audi all alloy quad over head cam motor with Porsche heads an inlet etc.. on it. an the gearboxes are Mercedes...bit of a bitsa. Should see under the bonnet.....id sure hate to have to chane the plugs....
  11. I'll start by saying my car has the same mods as yours + a few more (engine an power wise) and I just recently completed the same thing your looking at. my upgrades from where your at were: Microtech LTX-12 ecu + handset Malpassi adjustable fuel regulator largest bosch in tank fuel pump available HKS dump pipe Hi-Flowed turbo (standard injectors) currently on a safe tune running 18psi = 224rwkw (got 238rwkw@22psi) my car had 172rwkw before the upgrade. cars power is very smooth and progressive, but full boost is @ about 4500rpm and of course its a bit more fuel hungry. after all of this the car is being re-tuned (fine tuned) in 2 weeks which I'm told we can change a few things to the timing etc... to bring the turbo spool up to be sooner....but will wait and see. The hi-flow is a great option, you get a new turbo (internally) so no question to it's reliability an how long it will last and It's cheap, you can exchange your turbo for the Hi-flow (round $1400-$1500 mark exchange) plus no modification needed to ANYTHING. But if I could wind back time, i would probably have gone a Apex'i AX53B70 as i'm informed are a GREAT turbo that will produce the same amount of kw's and be much more streetable (spool up earlier). I looked at HKS but believe the Apex'i is a better street turbo where as the HKS tend to be out an out power? (just what I've heard and discussed with turbo specialists.......they are both awsomw turbos.......before i get abuse from HKS fans forum wide) anyway, goodluck with it all!!, there's my 2cents, hope it helped...
  12. where abouts in Vic are you? interested in both dash plastics & gearstick surronds, but would like to see what the black looks like.....
  13. When I was on my P's I drove a 5.0lt VK V8 that had a worked motor....it flew! But i never got hassled because i didnt do stupid things in stupid places!! The only time i ever got pulled up on my P's was for cruising round the city at 1am on a friday night (never did that again)....asked if they could look under the hood....i told em it was a 4.2lt an really, unless they were gonna pull the heads off an measure the bores, there aint enough difference to tell....lol....so they looked around for 5 mins...then told me my tint was too dark an to put the P on the outside an left...lol so you can do it, just dont do burnouts everywhere, dont cruise around at night, an if you see them round drive like a granny!! you should be right. oh an make sure you have all your lights working etc....all they need is an excuse.
  14. I'll be in it for sure!! never been an would love to know what my car can do now that I'm upgrading turbo, ECU etc.....
  15. MSPEC: yeah I figure it'll be about that much to repaint, not too stressed, Had a ball on the day so yeah it was worth it, especially chasing golgo from kyton to the winery!!. Have to see if the small speckles on my windscreen can be polished out too. Not gonna bother re-painting the bonnet...want a carbon one soon anyway. An yeah my HKS cooler coped a hydeing!! so i'll have to sit down an try an straighten out all the fins.....funfunfun!! R31nismoid: You make it sound like I'm trying to blame someone.....which I am not, as read in any other of my posts, I had a great time!! had some great driving, met some great people, was an allover good day. I'm aware i could have spaced myself 50m from every car, but if i wanted to drive alone i could of headed down to GOR by myself...lol....I'm just showing others what damage can be done an that next time car bras might be the go....which plenty of people agree. Whats happened to my car is my fault alone!! dont change the fact that it sucks...lol
  16. These are the chips on the front of my car. all the bright white dots are chips too, chipped off the top layer of paint. DOH! these were taken just after i washed my car this afternoon...
  17. mines a bit worse than that...lol..i'll post some pic up tomorrow of it...it's a bit devistating, but oh well...shit happens.....coulda drove like a granny all day, then i'd have nothing to complain about...lol.....not likely!!
  18. MSPEC: yeah for sure....nice photo to compare...lol....but i still think yours has a couple of inch's on mine looks sweet as!! as for the stone chips....i dont think anyone is really pointing blame (appart from one post i read i think?) jus pointing out that fact that next time we have to be a bit more careful, or get some form of prevention....alaa car bra's. I dont think a cruise where everyone was spaced 15-20 car spaces apart would be much fun, an can always remove the bra's for photos...look nice an clean too!!..lol
  19. ferni: Yeah i actually noticed that myself....might look into some kind of brace/support bars at either end....i dunno....saw a few nice flames from MSPEC....and from sitting behind him you almost dont notice that huge wing cauz it lines up perfectly with the roof line an pillars...lol...then he turns a corner an you couldn't miss it!!! if we could get a group buy on custom made carbra's I'd be in for sure!! mine would be the same as an R33GTR, but theres so many different style fronts out there, they'd have to be made to suit
  20. my front bar looks fully sandblasted, few down to bare metal chips on the bonnet & tops of 1/4 panels. Even the windscreen is all pitted now.... was a great cruise!! Very well organised an was a fun day.....had a good drive with GOLGO trying to catch up with the group at the winerly after a small fuel stop, the ol gts-t kept up pretty well i reckon. but unfortunatly it's gonna cost a fair bit to fix my car anyone know where to get car bra's made an what there worth for our cars? I dont really like car bra's....but if we're gonna cruise on back roads I can definatly see the value in one. great to see so many photo's, keep em comin....i forgot my cam on the day....doh'
  21. the front bar is a genuine GTR N1 front, thats why it looks so neat...its factory...came on the car from Japan when imported, the rest of the looks of the car i added myself. An yeah you spy Tein HA's...used to have Tenabe sustec pro's till i unfortunatly bent one of them.....DOH' anyway...off to paint the rear calipers, I'll put photo's up later this afternoon. I'll start another thread next week in regards to my power upgrades and what i achieve.
  22. did the rears today...bout the same level of difficulty as the fronts really, pretty much the same thing. came out pretty well i think....
  23. taking the calipers off isnt hard...just a few bolts and clips....even if yiu wanted to dissconnect them an paint them on the shelf isnt really difficult, just have to bleed the brakes and add a bit more brake fluid. I just didnt see the point, its easy enough to do them on the car, and they come up quite well. So long as you put more time into your preperation than actual painting, should all be good. jus look at mine
  24. lol...yeah i know they got hot....just used a modelling brush, the paint is white engine block paint....up tp 550 degrees celcius i think? didnt use primer, used metho and an old paint brush to clean the calipers VERY thoroughly, then used a bit more metho on a clean rag an wiped them down till no more dirt came off. I dont believe caliper or engine block spray pack paint requires primer, just be sure the surface is super clean.
