  1. Hey Mate, Are you able to post pics of your install? What i mainly want to know is does your oem Nav screen still work? If so, is your headunit able to output video to it via rca? What i want to end up having is a double din headunit which is able to output or mirror its GPS onto the OEM Nav screen. Cheers,
  2. Sorry to hear mate. My car was broken into a few years ago and smashed my drivers side window. Ended up getting it fixed via insurance. I think the window itself cost 900bux. They were able to source the window from Nissan Australia.
  3. Hi Chris, Thanks for the FAQ. Will help me alot when deciding if i should upgrade to a v36 or not. When you say "Working bluetooth" does this include being able to stream music/audio from an iphone via a2dp?
  4. lol... my old twin-turbo Soarer had the exact same issue. Would drive along and the whole electic system would shut down for a few seconds and turn back on. Very dangerous. Could never pinpoint where the issue was located. Ended up selling the car and getting a V purely for this reason.
  5. i did it over the span of 3 days. 1st day i taped the central locking wires behind the speaker (20mins). 2nd day i created the bracket and mounted the actuator on it (30mins). 3rd day i drilled holes in the lock and door card and mounted everything (2 hours). Its actually a very easy fix to install. The only thing that worried me was making sure i was drilling holes in the right spot to have it all aligned properly. I would suggest buying a spare interior door handle. The fix requires you to snap off a tab in the handle which means if you decide not to go ahead with the fix and want everything back to the way it was, the lock cable has a high possibility to fall out.
  6. yups, been working very well. We'll see how long it holds up.
  7. Ended up doing the actuator fix tonight. Was a pain in the ass but seems to be working quite well now. Been wanting to do it for over 2 years now since i bought the V. Couldnt bring myself to drill holes and cut off pieces of the lock. Bought a spare interor door handle just in case I screwed up.
  8. Cheers Mate, I just bought one on ebay from a 34GTR, it looks the same. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140856120068 Hopefully it fits in the jack slot in the boot.
  9. Hey Guys, Just wondering if any of you have the OEM jack for sale or know where i can obtain one. I stupidly jacked the car up on a slope and my jack got bent. So im looking for a replacment. Do you guys know if there are any other nissan cars (apart from 350z, Maxima maybe?) that have the exact same jack? It might make it easier for me to obtain. Cheers,
  10. Update: ended up buying Autoglym window polish. Seems to have done the job. Needed alot of elbow grease to work the product in. I think it would of been alot better if i have a orbital polisher.
  11. Thanks mate, do you know if theres a specific size/type for the wiper blades? Sorry, i've never replaced wiper blades before.
  12. Hi Guys, Just wonding if anyone of you have the same issue or know how i can get rid of these streaks that appear on my windscreen on cold days. Even if i turn on the defogger/aircon, it still appears. Using my windscreen wipers would make it go away briefly but it comes back very soon after. I dont recall it happening in the past. I wash my car using a foam gun with a solution from http://www.nerta.com.au/. Is it possible that theres something in it that is causing this? I've tried using various different window cleaners but none have helped. You guys have any recommendation on what products i can use to fix this?
  13. Hey guys, Thought id share with you all about something that happened to me today. So im at work and decided drive out to buy some lunch. I bought my lunch and then headed back. So im sitting at the traffic light and when it turned green, i pressed the accelerator and basically nothing happened. The car then began to move very slowly, by this time my foot was floored on the pedal. The car felt extremely sluggish and took like ~6seconds to reach 60km/h. I also noticed that the RPM seemed it would not exceed 2500-3000. I immediately thought to myself that the car was in limp mode. I eventually got back to work and parked the car and turned it off, hoping that it would somehow reset the issue. I turned the car back on and decided to drive it again to see if the issue fixed itself, it didnt. I floored the car and the fastest speed i could get out of it was 80km/hour. So i drove it back to work, and spent the rest of my afternoon all depressed and shit thinking about what the issue might be and how much to fix it etc. Spent alot of that time researching on limp mode etc on the internet. A common fix i saw was to clean the MAF sensor. So end of work came and i went back out to the car. Decided to try and rev it in neutral to see if it was responsive or not and if it was try and fiddle around with the MAF sensor. I turned the ignition on and went to shift it from Park into Neutral and this was what i saw... Uploaded with ImageShack.us I turned it off and my car was magically back to normal! Got the biggest smile on my face driving home. Do you guys know what this mode is for? Do you think i could have damaged the engine by driving it the way i did with snow mode on?
  14. Do you guys also have camber arms or toe bolts/arms installed? I hear rear camber arms are a highly recommended, but not so sure on front camber or toe bolts.
  15. Nice wheels mate, are you able to give us more information on how you buy things from Yahoo Japan? Did you go through importmonster.com?
  16. I've heard that the ones with a Bose system is almost impossible to install aftermarket Nav/headunit and to avoid them completely. Dont quote me on this though.
  17. Im definately interested. Although as mentioned, i would like to see a review or pictures of fitment before i commit. http://g35driver.com/forums/exterior-vendor/352308-cf-nismo-rear-diffuser-ionic-dynamics.html The one shown here seems to have awesome fitment, but very pricey. I guess you get what you pay for.
  18. z-tube still for sale? im interested. check your pm.
  19. yeah im still confused... oh well. Just thought it was strange that the stock navi screen is showing someting in english, unless he had the english translation done.
  20. Thanks for your reply. Sorry im just a little confused. Are you saying your GPS is a completely seperate screen/unit to the Pioneer headunit? So you pulled out your stock screen and replaced it with the GPS screen?
  21. This happened to me the other day. Got my Taylor Swift CDs stuck in there =(
  22. Hi Mate, Nice install. Have a question for you. From your pictures it looks as if you were able to output video from your Pioneer headunit onto the factory navigation screen. I suspect you pluged an AV cable from your headunits video out into the TV unit (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/184366-diy-put-av-input-for-350gt-wo-reverse-camera/). Does the video out allow you to clone whatever is on the headunit? My factory cd-player recently has the "CD ERR F0" issue, im looking at doing a double din install with possibly a headunit with GPS and video out. I feel that the double din location is very low on the dash and would like to use the headunits video output to display or clone the GPS on the navigation screen. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any information would be great. Cheers
  23. You guys have an estimation of how much shipping would cost to Australia? Say for example a front lip...
