I had a similar issue very recently, I found that the horn itself is grounded to the body and wasn't making good contact anymore. The positive comes from a relay which is a weird looking 3 pin. To check if this is the same issue, just run a bit of wire from the negative on the battery to the bracket that holds the horns, there's two and press the horn again. If it works, just put the wire there permanently with some ring terminals. Yeah, all this is just assuming you haven't already check this, but it took me a little while to work out what was going on.

Dunno if Scotty would mind me suggesting Scotty's Customs for the job as he did mine for me while it was on his hoist getting a custom 3" stainless zorst. They put the money back into your account the day they receive it. As Scotty mentioned apparently they have 10 around Aus that no one has bothered returning. I was waiting for mine since Christmas. It's worth doing though, on my rwd it chirps first to second in D. Scotty also bulit me a fantastic exhaust too. Don't mind saying I like getting underneath to look at it a few times.

I had the exact same issue with my C34. It was the left hand globe and it seemed after they got warm, it stopped working. I put in second hand globes 2 years ago and it solved the issue, so yeah, short answer, globes.

Tcs,slip And Engine Light Staying On
Spud Man replied to J O S H's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I've got an RS as well. If i leave the traction control switched off when i turn the ignition off, the next time i start it, it stays on. Press the button as if to turn it off and then kill the engine and ignition. It should reset itself the next time you start. If not check the sensor wiring. -
I think you'll find they're a mix of TV and FM antennas. There's a thread somewhere that has actual diagrams but can't seem to find it at the moment

Help! S2 Xanavi Screen Problem (At Wits End, Heeellpp)
Spud Man replied to Guishnu's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hey Guishnu I can only suggest to remove the entire unit and look in the back. There's quite a few plugs, maybe one has become dislogded and it's not recieving an ignition or power signal. I removed mine recently and noticed there's a fan at the back, which i assume is to keep the display cool as it heats up. It might be that at some point your display has overheated. Keep in mind these units can be 12yo or more. Good luck and keep us posted if you solve it Cheers -
I've been keen on another cruise for a while now.

Does anyone know how to disable the video block while the car is in motion? I found a thread that mentions grounding C1 or Cont 1 in the OEM tuner but they also mention this is for the aux 1 input. As I only had a single set of inputs on the tuner which is aux 2 i don't think this will work for me. I also saw a mention of getting in behind the head unit but i found no other details. I'm not sure if it is set up with the foot brake either. It only blocked the dislay when i put it in gear whether i had the foot brake on or not. Cheers

Fs: Asuka Hr-3 Digital Tv Tuner
Spud Man replied to seohyunjin's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi I've just installed a new receiver into my S2 C34 and I was wondering how to get rid of the video block? -
Thanks for that. I ended up plugging it in to the home tv and that sorted it. Just a couple of notes for anyone else thinking of doing it. In the tutorial it mentions to look for a blue wire in the loom to use as a trigger for the antenna power relay. Well I found 2 blue wires, one had 0.3V and the other had 12V as soon as the accessory was switched on. Rather than have the antenna amps running constant, i used a remote switch in the console to switch a fused relay that now powers the new tuner as well. I've taken the power from the rear 12V accessory power socket so it'll still switch of with the ignition. Another thing is 12year old plastic trim is quite brittle so i think a trim removal tool is a good investment if you want your trim to go back properly. And while the trim was off i also noticed what's involved to change the tail light globes . . bugger that!

I set the factory display to the symbol that "Chook" pointed out in his tutorial, so I believe that is in NTSC. It is in black n white as well so maybe I do need to set the tuner. How do you do it when it's scrolling and hard to read the menu settings?
-
Hi Guys, I bought one of the gold HD DVB-T receivers of Commsman about a year ago and I finally got around to fitting it. It fires up and sends a signal to the display but I can't get it to stop scrolling. I can see the menu for the tuner, but it flashes by so fast I can't do anything. Do I need to adjust the factory display somehow or do i need to reset the tuner? Any help is appreciated Cheers.

Hi Guys Got a bit rough idle at times, it's inconsistant but i was thinking of putting some Liqui Moly fuel system cleaner in the tank. Is it safe, any good or a waste of money? http://www.liqui-mol...fuel-additives/

97 Stagea Cargo Net & Rear Luggage Cover
Spud Man replied to RBJ3T's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Will the luggage cover fit in the back of an S2? -
I've got a Xanavi head unit and i am able to play audio cd's in the slot behind the head unit. When it is inserted the controls appear on the touch screen and if the climate control is on, it pushes the display to the right of the screen. If someone can come up with software that'd convert the Japanese to English, I'd definitley be interested.

Hey Guys First up I wanna thank everyone for a fantastic day, I was blown away with the help i got from everybody with the car, especially Scotty, you even fixed the intermittant idle prob that I had. It was a great cruise, it was fun to sit in traffic with all the other Stageas, great location, great people. If anyone hasn't gone on cruise with these guys, your missing out on meeting some really nice people. Anyway, thought I'd upload some of me pictures

Hi Just wondering if you need to register or sign up to go on this cruise, or is it simply rock up to Monash Uni on the day? Cheers
