Like when you want to dodgy up a not so closed off 'cold air' box with aluminium? Or maybe I should stop being lazy and do some welding. But on a serious note, this looks very interesting! Like maybe fitting undertrays and the works on your track cars?

What are Teng tools like? Always see them here and there for sale but never played with one. Are they decent? Somewhere in the vicinity of Kinchrome/Sidchrome quality? Saw some crow foot spanners with their name on it a while back and thought I might ask here.
-
My favourite tool for a couple of years even if I don't use it that often. I feel so powerful holding it: Sidchrome 1/2" 750mm long Breaker Bar Think I got it for $80-90 including delivery. Probably got a receipt somewhere. My new favourites are gonna be ratchet spanners/wrenches when I get my own set. Been using a mate's and it is fantastic. Now I can't live without em.

Offset and width please. -
Love it... love it...Took me a while to realise these were watermarks on them photos and not just you drawing angry man smiley faces ontop of the cars...

So long as it works because it looks pretty exy. E.g. 5L distilled = $5.99, water wetter ~$20.00. 5L of waterless = 143+freight according to liquidintelligence. Is there still corrosive inhibitors, and lubricant for water pump etc? I will have to start reading into this...
-
I noticed them on ebay along with another mob: http://stores.ebay.com.au/liquid-Intelligence-Smart-Solutions
-
Who are you looking at to source the waterless?
-
What boosts are you running to boil water like that? On the Stagea? I've heard around 120 should be fine but 140+ is getting a bit hot. You said 'still' having overheating issues - so you still had the same issue with glycol?
-
Good to hear. I've read that in some cases it will not translate as lower temps coz it only targets heat spots or at least that's what adding surfactants to water helps do. Here is the other thread where I got the info from: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/386040-how-much-redline-water-wetter-do-you-use/

Hey folks Anyone still or started to use Water wetter and plain old distilled water instead of Glycol/antifreeze for cooling requirements? I live in the tropics so will most definitely not require antifreeze component in coolant and apparently water wetter still has anti-corrosive properties as well as lubing the water pump internals etc... Is Redline the only ones who make Water Wetter in Oz? Not many seem to have heard of water wetters or deal with them for that matter....perhaps for good reasons?? I was planning on flushing out my system on the R32 GTST and my incoming bike as well - figured I would see if going water wetter would be a good idea. Seems to be the real deal but we'll see..

I know with the wind noise and all I can't really judge but I expected that to be louder...that is relatively quiet.
-
No no no mate. See what you're supposed to do is tell Paul it looks rubbish. Then he'll get bored of the car and sell it to me for dirt cheap.

Did they drill the inlet/outlets out a bit?

Transmission Lubricants
nk7 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Funnily enough the r32 gtst info is similar. Some spec sites give 2L capacity for the rb20det manual gearbox. While posts on forums say 2.2 - 2.5L. -
Ahh I thought you were recommending it because you compared these brands. Still cheap and if it works why pay more right!! Definitely buying these. Btw on a side note I noticed this on the website:
-
Lol I like how the installation video is for the Bosch wiperblades in the ebay ad. Have you compared to the Bosch or Trico single blade types? Seems cheap enough for me to compare to as well.

nk7 replied to nk7's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Sold pending payment. Nice and quick. -
Hey folks Got a stock VLSD from a 1992 R32 GTST. Not taken on track just removed as soon as I got the car to fit a 1.5 way for track. Been lying in garage for just over a year. Wasting space. Great condition VLSD that you can shim for more lock if needed or just use as is. Location: Pickup from Townsville, QLD or can ship Australia Wide. Just PM with address. Most likely will use e-go courier service. Asking: $150 pickup or PM address for shipping quote PM me for details or contact 0467003003 (I am near a phone or computer nearly 24/7)

Retrofit source is the place to go...good deals. And good to deal with.

What bulbs did you use? - D2S?
-
If you can manage the FX-R that might be a better choice. Morimoto minis should fit easy apparently.
-
^ I guess if they are smart enough to realise that it isn't stock. Some r32s had OEM projectors and others just non-projector types. You could feign ignorance saying it was stock OEM projectors but upgraded bulbs. But seriously I have the stock crappy non-projector type - and nowadays I reckon I'm the odd one out coz I'm surrounded by projector types...
