So after the common oil feed line leak,i spoke to a couple of people and was advised to get the turbo high-flowed (stockish) while the motor was out.I organized it, and a few days later it was ready and i picked it up and gave it to the mechanic.
I also got an inter cooler and a high-flow cat for him to put on as well.Anyway after a couple of weeks of driving it(not thrashing it!) i could hear a air leak,my first thought was it must be the exhaust so i let the mechanic know what was going on and he said bring it in and he will take a look. The next day the starter motor shits itself,so i take it down to him and two days later he tells me that after dropping the box that its not an exhaust leak, and that its a hair line crack coming from the exhaust side of the turbo.i ran the guy who high-flowed it and he said that he dose not touch that part of the turbo and that i could either get it welded if possible or buy a new housing!
Has anybody else ever had this problem? im not sure what to do as my mechanic called the turbo guy that he uses, and he said that the guy i used sounds like hes talking shit just to get out of it
what do you think i should do?
