  1. Hi Guys, I'm selling my beloved 1989 Nissan Skyline R31 wagon. It's been trusty and done everything I wanted for the last 4 years. Before that it was owned by a family friend. It's also up on ebay. It's starter motor is broken but otherwise it's in GREAT mechanical shape. Let me know if you are interested and have any questions. I'd like $1000 but will consider any reasonable offer. Here's a description of it. For pictures, check out the ebay listing. - Nissan Skyline Executive R31 - 3.0 Litre, straight 6 cylinder - Automatic transmission - Station wagon - Needs new starter motor (otherwise drives great!) - Rego ran out on Dec 11 2010. I'm sad to be selling this trusty old car. I've had it for about the last four years after buying it from a family friend who owned it since new. I'm selling it since I just bought a smaller car. Both I and the previous owner kept it in great shape. Since I've had it, I've replaced a bunch of stuff for new including the steering rack and pinion, the radiator and very recently the muffler. I got it serviced at least three times a year while I was driving it. It was driving absolutely perfectly (like a dream!) until recently when the starter motor stopped working. I think it's the ratchet in the motor because you can hearing it spinning but it doesn't turn the motor over. Fix (or replace) that, and the car will drive great again. Otherwise pull it apart for parts. It has many of the small problems you would expect of a car from 1989 and I've tried to show a lot of them in the pictures. Stuff rattles in the doors when you go over bumps and there some rust on the roof near the windscreen (see pictures). There's an old scratch on the bonnet that was there when I got the car as well as a few gravel chips. It's also been lightly scratched on the left-hand side but that could be buffed out. The duco on the roof is a bit dull from years of sun exposure but its not too bad. And the back right door has recently become very stiff. I guess it probably needs an oil. The odometer stopped working just after I got the car four years ago at 163,366 kms. Since then, I would have driven it a lot less than the average 20,000 kms a year for an Australian car. I can't say for sure how many kms it should read now. But as you probably know, these engines go forever. As you can see from the pics, there's no major oil leaks. Sorry for not cleaning it up better for the photos, but I since the starter motor is broken, I can't drive it around to the front of my place to easily clean it. Call or email me (Michael) on michael(dot)slezak(at)gmail(dot)com or 0402 870 269. The car is located in Darington, Sydney, New South Wales. Nissan Skyline Executive R31 1989 Automatic transmission 3.0 Litre, 6 cylinder Broken starter motor Sold "as-is". Cash on pick-up or paypal is fine. Will need to have starter motor replaced on location or towed to garage -- at buyer's expense. Cheers, Michael..
