  1. lol- because im sure he would of come out on top if he landed the bunch. Bogan fist vs nissan steel, i know who i would have my money on. In all seriousness though, people think you are a hoon when you have an import, or p plates. I used to get that sort of reaction all the time when i was younger and had p plates on. I even had one kunt chase me through a car park (leaving his probably 4 year old daughter in a trolley some 100 meters behind by her self) acting like i nearly ran him over on a pedestrian x. The kunt was like 5 meters away behind an entrance post when i went through, nowhere near the crossing. Thing was he was a massive prick, and at the time i was puny. Im assuming it was all because i had p plates, and he was some sort of nutjob or druggie... I even watched some random woman in my review mirror have to grab the dickheads trolley which contained his daughter before it rolled onto the road, yet im assuming he acted like that because i 'nearly hurt his daughter. I cant really explain how pathetic and uncalled it was, but i know what would of happened if he got me haha. Thing is, with the caliber of the youth today, blokes like him would get belted with weapons in a group or stabbed, whether it was in front of his daughter or not, same could be said for the bogan that swung at your car.. one day an equally as bogan shithead will jump out, if not much worse.
  2. Im still going to have to get mine passed, but last time it tested at 102db, and its gotta be under 90! If i remember rightly, the test is at 4800 rpm for my gtst, so not hitting boost is kinda scary, but im not sure if it will really boost in neutral with no load, anyone tried it?
  3. That is utter bullshit! How can they make you pay more for a half arsed job because they were lazy. f**k that, i would have told them i only had the $550 in my account that they quoted. In reality you should have had to pay them anywhere near that since they quoted you a fitted price, and they didnt even fit it properly. Luckily for them, next to no skyline owners will go there considering the shit that is on this forum about them.
  4. Im not sure which is more pathetic, the fact he was getting forged pistons in his rotary, or that he actually owned any form of rotary and said that. I can only imagine what sort of pleasure that guy would provide to a rip off performance workshop. " Well mate, your going to need to upgrade your injectors before i can install the bigger carby" $$$
  5. lol- fark man, i know that sort of thing is frustrating beyond disbelief, but i think i would have let the special one have his moment.
  6. Lol- As soon as i saw the letters FWD being spoken of negatively, i knew it would only be a matter of time before warps chimed in. I swear he must have a cold chill come down his spine whenever fwd is mentioned! To the op, i think the thread has come up with some awesome suggestions, just a matter of preference.
  7. We all knew the vk/vl share the same side profile, thats pretty damn obvious. My point is, the skylines have no more progression in looks between the models than the crappy commodores do. Also that is obviously just your opinion that its a shitty nose job and duckbill, most people i know much prefer the looks of vl over vk. Your argument would be better suited to the vb,vc,vh models in which the differences are next to nil. Having said that, look at the difference in the mighty skyline, its huge!
  8. lol.. coming from a skyline owner makes it particularly rich. Besides the obvious mechanical differences, there is very noticeable visual differences between the vk and vl, especially in the upper spec versions. Dont get me wrong, i have always liked the look of skylines, even the 31. But the way i see it, unless there is a 10 year gap between models, all car makes have subtle differences between models.
  9. A couple of coppers picked up my best mates little sister and her 2 friends on the central coast nsw about 5 years back now. They were walking from a party when the police offered them a ride in the highway patrol ss, which being drunk 17 year olds they did. The officers (one in his 40s and one in his 20s) Took them down the freeway doing topspeed runs, burnouts and handbrake 360s while the bimbos didnt even have seatbelts on. The mistake they made was dropping them back to where they picked them up from where my mate saw his drunk little sister hop out of a police car right after he saw it speeding ridiculously towards them. My mate proceeded to abuse said officers, and told his Mum about it the next morning who reported the incident. When the station sarge looked into it, the film from the vehicle had been removed, which is a serious offence apparently. Im not sure of the exact details of what happened in court, but it was pretty nasty and i know the older officer was looking at a prison sentence, and my Mates little sister didnt have a great time testifying. Just goes to show how scum they can be sometimes, because all of my experiences with the police in my local area have been extremely positive. Like it has been said, there is scum in every field, its just more noticeable when police are doing it, because we expect they are the ones who protect us.
  10. Well i quite like the look of some of those coupe 31's but the vl still kills it when done well imo. Im more of a fan of the understated type look in most cases, and huge flares and t-wings dong usually do it for me lol. Not saying their isnt some nice looking 31's, i just prefer the look of the commodore over them.
  11. Exactly, thats the thing that pisses me off the most. These gm v8's motors are in pontiacs, holden's and chev's.. also possibly more companies considering the size of gm. Its obvious that its because the badges look good, and i agree- i think they do. It just pissed me off the holden boys wont admit it, plus the fact they yankee up their holden's more than it needs be. f**k that vl is nice too, imo a much better looking car then any 31 i have seen.
  12. Yes it is. The chev badge pisses me off for one reason only, and its that the owners wont admit its there purely because it looks nice, in fact a hell of a lot nicer badge design than holden. IF they really wanted to get picky about their badges and motors, hell they would have a gm badge on it, not a chev badge. That has the same significance as a pontiac badge, but the pontiac badge doesnt look good. The owners have them because they look nice, thats it.. if only they would man up and admit it.
  13. I get pretty regular blood tests, although im not positive, im hoping that it would pick this sort of thing up. Have plenty already! Im pretty unfamiliar with most of those drugs, but valium has always left me totaled the next morning. Im hoping my doctor can get me sorted on my next visit, although i know from experience this is pretty damn optimistic lol. I am also hoping that i can find a solution without the serious drugs, again optimism, but hopefully it can be the case for me. Yeah, f**k mate, i have heard that is really rough, another reason im reluctant to use my valium.
  14. lol! Check out my user name, i have been there.. No to be honest, it did wonders in the short term for me, but i never saw it as a long term thing, and sure enough the effects of it started to wear off and it became useless. The current batch of medicine im on also started to work properly so i ditched the weed. Not too sure on the dates, but i think ive been about 3-4 months without it, and it was easy to quit for me. When i first smoked it actually did help slightly to relax me and sleep, but a few months of usage and it made no difference to my situation, and i was as twitchy and irritated as ever and still didnt sleep no matter how much i had. Definitely going to look at phenergan though.
  15. I agree with mad, who agrees with grey agreeing with superdragger. Fact is, and although this is hypocritical as i was an idiot with a v6 commodore who dragged everyone on my red p's that p platers in shit slow na cars look like f**king idiots dragging at the lights. Everyone is f**king laughing at how pathetic it is, even more so then when idiots do it in reasonably powered cars. If you think your car is worthy of drag racing, take it to a track.
  16. Thanks heaps guys for the info, also good to know im not the only one i here with this rls bullshit. Terry thanks for the list, i looked up the L-tryptophan as you said it may help with restless legs, but im a bit concerned with it crossing my other medication the wrong way, particularly with it being a precursor to serotonin. At this stage im just hoping to get into my doctor asap, which is proving difficult at the moment. Again, cheers for the advice.
  17. Another one jumping on the bandwagon! Your just a plain idiot.. lol (if you havent read the previous posts, im joking)
  18. So in other words a rotary isnt necessarily low on torque? It was just always the way i perceived them, but it definitely make sense what you are saying with the power curve. The first rotary i drove revved to something like 11k, and yes you needed to be picky with gears and it had a high gear ratio. That being said, i was 17 and a worked 13b turbo and it scared me quite senseless, so i definitely didnt drive it anywhere near its potential. In no means was i slagging on rotaries, tbh im a fan of anything that makes power and goes fast, regardless of engine type. I was just of the opinion they were low on torque in comparison, and that they are not really reliable. And i dont disagree with the 26 statement, i have seen plenty of horror stories involving them now too. I will also admit that most of the owners of rotaries i have spoke with, have had plenty of work done to them and dragged them etc.. so that may account for reliability issues.
  19. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt one of the problems with a rotary engine is lack of torque? Hence the reason they are in light vehicles, and would suck in a commodore. And as far as i have known, rotors are known for their lack of reliability, you have to love getting your hands dirty to own one. I have had plenty of mates with rotories over the years, and yes they hammer, however everyone ive known with one has never used it as a daily, and has spoken of the lack of reliability. No denying that most are plenty fun though.
  20. x2. The price of second hand exhausts on here and even ebay is ridiculous. Save your money, and buy other stuff with it!
  21. I think i have been on that before with good results, however my doctor didnt want to keep me on it. Tbh i have had that many damn prescriptions over the last few years its hard to remember. I do know however that i have been on one medication that was strictly for sleeping, and it worked well, but my doctor was wanting it to be a short term thing, which im cool with. I have tried valerian, and yeah didnt do much for me, if anything. And i also agree with avoiding the strong meds, im worried enough about the amount of prescription drugs i swallow each day, lol. Im a bit pissed though to be honest, because when i got the magnesium glycinate, that it was a supplement with no side effects as such, everything else im looking at will probably be a bit more risky. lol, no wonder, you were gripping in your sleep trying not to fall out! I too have some valium from a back injury, and yes it helps, alot. However i keep it just in case i really hurt my back again because it seems to be the only thing that even vaguely helps. Plus, i hear that its very addictive. Thanks for the help guys.
