  4. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but i am about to install a gt30 on my rb20 and was wondering what cams would give a good overall power increase? My supporting mods are: GT30 with .64 internal wastegate, GTR injectors, 040 fuel pump, 6 boost exhaust manifold, oz power plenum, hybrid copy intercooler. Also do I need adjustable cam gears with a camshaft upgrade? Sorry for the hyjack, hopefully my question is relivant to the thread starters car too Dan.
  5. Just curious if this on a RB20 or 25.. I have purchased a GT30 with that .64 option above(have to look into the exact specs of it when i get it). Would be keen to compare if yours is on RB20, though mine wont be tuned till mid Janurary. Are you planning on using camshafts at all cause Id also be curious to see what you choose. Cams are a unknown area to me and any advice I can get would be a bonus lol... cheers Dan.
  6. I'll get onto it tomorrow as the engine is at nans place
  7. Hey Everyone, I was replacing my rocker cover gaskets on my rb20 the other day and noticed that certian cylinders had burn marks on the cam lobes, where as other cylinders looked new. I'm a bit concerned that there might be a oil pressure/supply problem to the head. I am about to install a gt30 turbo and dont want metal shavings ending up in it, so I have come on here to see if anyone can explain the wear marks on the cam lobes. Heres a pic (very dodgey pic): Its worse than what the blurry picture shows, but you get the idea.. Any help apreciated Dan
  8. Try: http://www.slidewizeimports.com/products/yahoolinks.html if you are keen Jonny, but you'll have to buy it ex japan this way But much cheaper generally. Dan.
  9. I dont mean to hyjack your thread mate, but if you have a spare r30 resistor pack laying around when you finish remaking your loom, then im keen... If it has a plug then better still cheers Dan.
  10. Just a quick wish list..... I need: New z32 AFM Adjustable RB20 cam gears s13 front coilovers, must be base adjustable and in good condition in general r30 or gtr injector resistor pack and plug I think that's all, but no doubt i'll add to the list... Cheers Dan
  11. Ok so the final verdict seems that thr r30 resistor pack will work? Thats fantastic, until the supply and demand sends prices up like what happened with the gtr packs
  12. Ok put me down as number 1, anyone else keen?
  13. Damn, I missed out. Id be interested in a set for my rb20 if anyone decides to sell for some reason Is there likly to be another group buy anytime soon?
  14. Spewin, I just ordered mine for a bit more than that, sorry But I'll vouche that these manifolds are faultless!
  15. part number 195500-2020 from what i can find out Just wondering, where did you get yours for $350, as I'm keen for a set Also I take it that your post above meant that they idle shit on a stock computer, but a remap would fix this? cheers, Dan.
  16. Umm yeah may be the same turbo Wheezy, I'm not up on the namign of turbos , but my mate said he bought it new off Garret as a gt30. He was nice enough to sell it to me at a very high loss, and its still new Sure shows who ya good friends are eh 3800 eh, that should be fun in a drift car lol, ah well, will teach me how to keep the revs up Should do a decent burnout hahahah. cheers guys, when its tuned(probably late dec, early Jan) i'll put the results up in the rb20 dyno thread
  17. I just got my hands on a gt30 with the .63 rear. Does anyone have any idea when it would hit fullboost and what sort of power figure id be looking at? Couldnt find any answers in the rb20 dyno thread sadly... cheers Dan.

  19. And generally the air pocks are caused by people to lazy or incompitent to bled the head properly! So really its just as likely to happen in r31's to i suppose.
  20. Sounds good but maybe you should use some sort of aftermarket bearings? I think the standard bigends wear a fair bit..
