  1. I can prove otherwise on my own car. do a bit of clearancing with a die grinder, wrap the dump pipe, done.
  2. hey gtrsean, any reason why you decided to add flanges to the compressor housings, rather than using silicon couplings?
  3. thanks anyways, and yes i played with the accel settings quite a bit, but had no luck. ended up adding fuel to the base map. not a huge deal as this is a race car
  4. Hi Piggaz, just curious what your cam centerlines, lift and duration were set at for this
  5. compression test and degree your cams
  6. thanks for the reply. I'm using a d jetro and datalogit as well, and i think I'll give this a try. I mean, IAT is theoretically a critical part of calculating air mass with a speed density system. The slow response and heat soak of the stock part CANT be ideal.
  7. thanks for posting have you done any tuning with the new sensor yet?
  8. It actually idles nicely. Its the large throttle inputs right after idle that are a problem.
  9. anybody running big cams on a 2.6 have their 'Accel vs TPS1' settings handy? Accelerate injector would be good too. I'm getting a bad lean hesitation with a throttle stab near idle, and I can't seam to cure it with those settings. Only thing that works is to add fuel to the INJ table.
  10. in my experience, air temp plays a significant role in power output and its worth the work to minimize it as much as possible.
  11. also interested in alternative locations and sensors
  12. thanks for the reply, makes sense now
  13. don't see it there, sorry http://www.youtube.c...c.1.4BSS8sX3apk you mean there's a window for each runner that exits from the billet collector and into 2 'wastegate collectors', and then from the 2 wastegate collectors into each wastegate?
  14. Bobby, do you have anymore pics of the exhaust manifold collector? I can't understand how the wastegate gases exit the collector.
  15. the garrett catalog lists the same part number for both the standard and rb housings. pain in the ass. all you can do is hope you are ordering through someone that know what they are doing.
  16. Mine sure isn`t. 3.125 in. at the smallest point in the muffler. weak. the welds and flanges are rusty, the piping is painted, and every flange has a step down in size.
  17. no, it is not a pain. and, the muffler is not the lowest point on the exhaust.
  18. how does .30 exhaust and .40 intake sound for 280/10.8 cams, ferrea valves and springs, stock buckets, 600whp, and 8500rpm?
  19. Just curious if anybody uses a tighter than stock spec for their cam-to-bucket clearances. For reference, stock is .45mm IN and .38mm EX, both +-.03mm. cheers
  20. only thing i've seen make a significant difference in my mph was wind direction. 112mph with zero wind vs 106 with a 15mph head wind.
  21. Any idea how your cam gears were adjusted?
  22. Paul, do you know your cam centerlines on your old head? If so, can you share?
  23. BW quick spool valve of some sort:
