thanks for the replies...
Let's try and put this in perspective for the guys only vaguely familiar with tuning: The crank trigger mod helps the tuner push the limits of the hardware more reliably, due to the increased accuracy of the timing signal.
Thanks for the thread. A couple questions:
-Is the ross kit available to the public in d-jetro form yet? If so, is pricing public knowledge?
-Are you able to have your tuner comment on the ross kit? I'm curious just how much more aggressive he can be with the tuning.
-Did you consider any other options for the sync issue?
awd will be impossible

i could really see myself commissioning a car like that camaro or supra as my daily driver, given the budget. you'd probably still want a back-up vehicle, but still. Cars like these might be pretty popular for us car guys in 20 years, as it gets harder and harder to DIY maintain new cars.
hey guys,
I'm hoping to find a good tire and diff combo for 130+mph trap speeds in a r32 gtr with a standard transmission. I plan to rev to 8500rpm and hopefully make peak power at 8000rpm. with a 255/50/16 (26" tall) mickey thompson et street radial, i calculate123mph @ 8500rpm in 3rd, or 130 @ 6900 in 4th.
so....
Strategy A:
-stock gears (4.111)
-taller tire (295/50/16)
this gives me 131mph @8500rpm in 3rd
Strategy B:
-gts-4 gears (4.375)
-shorter tire (275/50/15)
this gives me 130mph at 7400rpm in 4th, or 141 at 8000.
do 15s fit over stock rear brakes?

not enough boost to see its potential, but some data none the less
any know issues with the following combo:
ferrea valves, tomei type b springs, retainers, lifters, and 280/10.8 cams? not sure what seats i have in there.
hey, i'm in the situation as you. i chose to do the following for my track car build:
-painted the valve covers, intake plenum, and other things
-full hicas delete
-oil cooler ( i chose to leave the stock one in place, but deleted the water lines to it.)
-rear oil drain/breather
-lots of cleaning
can we get a recap on this car please? cams, fuel, head work, intake plenum, exhaust size, intercooler, etc.
also, can we attribute some the gains to the new manifolds and exhaust?
and, i thought inertia was HIGHER with twins vs single
thanks
you've done everything correct in my opinion. trust your tuner, take advice from others, question the tuner if you are unsure, etc. glad you are happy with the car! any pics or videos to share?
