thnx heaps guys... I will keep you all updated, going to keep looking into it... going to speak to Tighe next week also been told the stock rb26 cams are an option and also been told to not worry bout them all together and just keep the stock cam shafts, but taking it all on bored. The tomie pon cams... they would be the 256 with a 8 or 9.5? lift at highest with out having to upgrade the lifters if i remember correctly. we are aiming for 450RWHP will be mainly used for street and occasional drag "3400-7000" rpm range sounds good.. i think it might be the go... ill ask around and see what other people say feel free to throw in opinions. all much appreciated : ) tas

Hey guys we are stumped we are building a hybrid RB25/30 what we basically wanna know is pon cams vs standard cams or even go to pro cams? your opinion what you are running etc etc?!? our goal is 550hp plan on running 98 and we hope to achieve this with a GT35/40 or similar... any input would be great, have goole searched and spoke to many different people basiclly every one is saying something different any input would be great... we have performance valve springs (brand name) and plan on running cam gears if need be. we also want to keep our engine responsive as we can... any help would be much appreciated : ) tas

i see, we are thinking on using the 8.5:1 and the car will probably only ever run on 98.... i have performance springs (brand name) and am yet to decide on cams the car will be driven almost daily.. and i am gonna go with the ACL bearings also which tomei pon cams do you have ?

Hey guys, Ready to order pistons for an rb25/30 build i'm doing. Purchasing JE customs for the combo. Question is what compression do we want.... Want to run a gt35/40 sized turbo at around 18 - 20 psi to make around the 450hp mark at the wheels. Any one with a similar combo making similar power thats been running good for a period of time? Looking to upgrade the camshafts also. What make of cam are you guys running in your cars? Planning to use acl race series main and big end bearings, anyone heard anything bad about them or have a make that you would recommend? Kind regards, Tas

Hey guys, we are working out a turbo setup for rb30/25 set up. initially we were looking at a gt35/40 and after chatting to a friend he is saying to look at a td06 Mitsubishi turbo as an alternative. Problem is we have been browsing eBay for hours and you can't easily tell whats a quality turbo and what is junk. If someone has any advice to offer when looking for a turbo or any good Australian sites to purchase a turbo that will get us somewhere in the 500-600 hp mark at the crank and doesn't carry the HKS or Garrett price tag would be be greatly appreciated. If there are any brands you recommend to buy or stay away from don't hesitate to let us know.

Hey peep's Building an rb30/25 hybrid on a budget and was wondering what pistons you are running?. Are they rb30 or rb25 or are they the ones specifically made for the rb30/25 conversion offered by some manufacturers. Secondly looking at using a gt35/40 turbo and was wondering if the standard ecu can be re-mapped? What would you recommend for a budget computer to replace the standard ecu.

hey guys, I'm doing an RB30 hybrid... and im chasing ab RB25 engine.. ive been quoted $1800 for an RB25DET and $750 - $950 for a RB25neo can anyone confirm if the non turbo neo head has smaller ports?!?!?!
