Years ago when I first got my R33 ser II GTS25T, I picked up a Turbosmart Tee for it, however, one thing that people have to watch is the hose barbs / nipples on the Tee is slightly smaller in diameter so the factory vac line would pop off if not clamped down properly....Long story short, I was on the freeway that night and all of a sudden I was maxing out my boost gauge at 20+ psi and sideways on the freeway in 5th ! The hose from the Tee to the actuator popped off and the wastegate wasn't opening to regulate boost. The motor would've went 'pop' if I had kept at it but I'd learnt two things that night.... One is to use the correct size vac lines, two is what these motors are capable of with a little extra boost - I wasn't too familiar with these car at the time but that incident accidently showed me the hidden power potential in these RB donks.

Some people have absolutely no idea do they ??? A fuel pressure regulator maintains the fuel pressure at a preset level in the system, a raising rate fuel pressure regulator varies the pressure at a certain ratio depending on the current boost level.... Most aftermarket fuel pressure regulators give the tuner the ability to adjust the base pressure to suit their higher flowing aftermarket injectors (most RB engines have it set at approx 40 psi) . It's the FUEL PUMPS and injectors that 'support' your sort of power buddy, the fuel reg plays a small role. It's not rocket science.

You WILL 100% need the oil restrictor in the block when using the Tomei oil pump !!! And preferably fit a fast oil drain at the back of the head as well if possible. It's a great oil pump....too great.

0.64 rear on a RB25..... it'll come on quick but run out of puff up the top end when chasing big power.

I think the 'Light Reduce' system is the dimming of the headlights when the car is at idle and lights up to full beam once the car starts moving, I think it was a factory option from Nissan (but not a very popular one)..... correct me if Im wrong. I own a factory 'lightweight' version of the R33 GTS25t that came without the rear wiper and this car came with the 'light reduce' system, it was disabled when the previous owner installed the HID setup back in Japan.

Nice... They definitely have a 'show' aspect to them. The outer lip on them reminds me of my 19inch Konig's.

Reproducing these in wet carbon fibre would not be hard at all. The trickest part would be making up the molds - 1) waxing component to be copied with several layers of special wax 2) coating with tooling gelcoat 3) applying poly resin and reinforce with fibreglass mash 4) repeat step 3 until a thick enough layer is built up 5) wait until cured and 'pop' it out Once the mold is made, you can make copies of the part by using carbon fibre fabric, you could even use carbon-kevlar or even kevlar on its own depending on the look youre after. The trick is not to stirr up the resin too much when mixing in the hardener (Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide - MEKP) - this creates bubbles and you dont want bubbles appearing all over the top of the layer of carbon fibre. I've made up many carbon parts by using this technique. Anyways, hope that helps.

No silver ones ? I have the turbo timer grafted/mounted into the dash and chasing one of these in silver to match.

Sellers have to give potential buyers incentives to want to buy from them ! Why would somebody buy from a private seller when they can get it from the shop with warranty for the same price ?? Try not being so greedy .... try offering $1380 for the oil pump and I reckon you'll have it sold in no time.

Wouldn't it make life easier for others in the same boat as me ? Besides, blue slips aren't something that's needed everyday. Plus it's extra business for the mechanic........so it's a win-win-win situation for all involved. Hi fellow Skyliners, I have a R33 (1997 series 2 GTS25t) that's been unregistered since 2005 and it's been garaged all this time - it's been turned over and warmed up every weekend so it's all good in that aspect. Now, what I want to know is, I plan to get it registered in the next few weeks and it requires a blue slip. It's relatively stock except for * Frontmount Intercooler - installed properly with brackets * A really quiet exhaust that it came from Japan with * Set of 19 inch rims * M-sport front bumper & 400R side skirts * Rear seat removed - I want to register it as a two-seater. I mean....it's still got the factory air induction box ffs ! Does anybody know of someone that does blue slips in western Sydney that's not so strict in regards to minor modifications ? I'll pay the extra few dollars for a blind mechanic if need be - if you know what I mean *wink* *wink* Your help is much appreciated.

Not everybody can afford (or want to pay for) full insurance for a modified high performance vehicle. Thought of that ?

Hello fellow Skyliners, I just want to let you guys know the damage that water can do to the internals of an engine. My work mate told me about his young son and his N14 Pulsar. He installed a pod style air filter to his car but decided to mount it really low in the engine bay to avoid heat and to pick up cool air, which make good sense..... until he decided to go to a party one night and took it paddock-bashing, through puddles of WATER...... the water managed to work it's way into the cylinders due to the low position of his air filter.... After that, the car started to run 'wonky'. As described by our science teacher back in high school, water is a liquid and unlike gasses, it can not be compressed. What happened was, when he tried to crank the engine over with water in the cylinders, as the piston tried to compress the water, it ended up BENDING the con-rods in his engine ! So if you are 100% sure there is no water left inside the engine and it's still running bad.....then there is a chance that you may have bent a con rod or three....or six..... or even worse....YOUR CRANK SHAFT ! Oh yes.... 'Its only water' you must be thinking..... You'd be surprised ..... So start praying. Good luck.
